From the moment we walked in the main front door, we felt right at home with the cosy decor and we loved the high fireplace in the middle of the floor! Our host, Christine, was warm and welcoming.
We stayed in the Sanctuary Suite, which is a great sized room with ensuite and huge spa. The view from the balcony was leafy and green, and the sound of forest birds was a wonderful backdrop to our relaxing.
The view from the spa was also leafy and green, with a cheeky bush turkey visit! The bed was quite comfortable, and the facilities were everything we wanted - complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate and even bottled water!
There is a Foodworks close by for all your essentials, and a short drive away is the Gallery Walk - cafes, gift shops, locally made clothing and craft and sweets - it was such a delight to wander the shops and explore their offerings.
Mountain Sanctuary includes a generous continental breakfast, with tea and coffee.
We loved our stay and can't wait to get back there!

I am not a fan of B&Bs but had to book into Mountain Sanctuary as a necessity for its proximity to our convention. It turned out to be a wonderful hidden gem. The gardens and its birdlife give the place a sense of serenity, and Helen and her home completed the picture. The place is spotless and beautifully appointed with everything you could think of, and lovely local artwork on the walls and soft furnishings. The breakfast is more than I expected from a "continental breakfast" and Helen made the effort to fit into our dietary requirements with grace and a smile! Everything was fresh and local. The room was spacious with a lovely balcony, the beds and pillows were comfy and the fresh bottled water and local yummy shortbread biscuits were appreciated! Definitely recommend Mountain Sanctuary B&B.

My husband and I stayed 2 nights at this perfect B and B the hosts Peter and Helen are truly so welcoming and go over and beyond your expectations. Peter made a fabulous hot breakfast of omelets with toasted sour dough bread on the side this was so delicious. The breakfast that came with the stay inclusive alone was just Wow ! Croissant's ,sliced ham off the bone ,avocadoes ,cheese then selection of cereals, selective choices of breads, jams of many choices then we came to the beautiful breakfast glasses filled with divine seeds and grains fruits ,nuts complemented with Greek yoghurt and then wait for it topped with fresh sliced fruits in season. pod coffee ,fresh coffee, fresh juices teas the list goes on. Our room was fantastic so warm , mini bar available with small costs tea and coffee facilities heated towel rails in bathroom glorious extra large spa bath with candles surrounding so very romantic, shower contained shampoo ,conditioner along with body wash all of which are sukin products as they gentle on the systems running up at Mount Tambourine. Peter and Helen made us feel so very very welcome they are fantastic hosts I wouldn't hesitate to go and stay again and cant wait to do so.

A wonderful B and B. We stayed in the Palm Grove suite which is very spacious and beautifully appointed - which we got good value out of a three weather was a little inclement. A great place to stay though if it's raining - there's a lovely lounge and reading room as well as the suite itself (and undercover parking). The hosts have thought of everything - umbrellas at the door, a reasonably priced minibar with local wine, and a delicious breakfast with some of the best bread I have ever eaten (and hot breakfast for $10 extra in the suite). Great location right near some great rainforest walks and a very short drive to everything (which, if it is misty, you will be grateful for!) We will be back!

We were referred to this B&B by Information Centre as we were seeking undercover car parking- not readily available in this area. The rooms in the photos seemed to be of a high standard so we were a bit nervous about the price but the mid-week special was very reasonable & $37 pn cheaper than a Goondiwindi motel we stayed at a few weeks earlier. The motel did not include breakfast, bottled water, good WiFi and all the facilities that were available for our use at Mountain Sanctuary B&B. We received a wonderful warm informative welcome by Helen & Peter. A quiet peaceful location, spotlessly clean & comfortable accommodation with beautiful gardens & view of Gold Coast from our balcony. A substantial breakfast is included with perfectly cooked hot breakfasts available to order. Also available to guests is a shared kitchenette, gardens & outdoor areas, central fireplace lounge, reading/games room. The suite room & bathroom are quite spacious with several lounge chairs, seats & tables. Large spa. Tea/coffee making facilities, mini bar & assorted snacks for purchase. Short walk to supermarket etc though it is a bit steep uphill for the unfit! A little bit further to Gallery Walk. Quite central to the attractions - Skywalk, Treetops Challenge, rainforest walks, restaurants & lookouts. Highly recommend & we certainly intend to return one day.

Probably the best B&B we ever stayed in. It has 4 stars but I would easily give it 5. It has 3 guest rooms with different themes. We stayed in the Palm Grove, which is the largest of the three, due to a large bay window with a comfortable sitting area. There is also a small dining/work table with chairs as well as a private balcony with seating. The room is very spacious with large bathroom with spa bath and separate shower. The building is situated at the beginning of a dead end street leading to a National Park, not a lot of traffic during the day and dead quiet during the night. There is a beautiful 1 acre garden with carport around it. The building also consists of a spacious living room with gas fire and dining room table, separate breakfast room (continental breakfast is included), library and kitchenette. In the bedroom there is a small fridge and coffee/tea making facilities. For an additional fee cooked breakfast available in the breakfast room or room service. There is also a covered outdoor seating area with bbq I believe. It's very close to restaurants and the gallery walk. Peter and Helen are superb hosts and very discreet. We can recommend this property to anyone, except for families, as children under 18 are not allowed on the grounds.

What an amazingly cozy place for a getaway. Every little detail is in place to make sure your stay is pleasant whether you just want to stay on the property for some quiet time or explore the town. The hosts are just super people and really take pride in ownership as the landscaping, property maintenance, and public space is just immaculate. They also are more than helpful in providing suggestions, for eateries, things to do, and local areas to walk. Can't say enough about the place and the owners. Great value! Note: You really should have a car to visit the mountain. Taxis and public transport does not exist for practical usage. There are some great things to see, eat, and do within walking distance but........

Decided to head to Mount Tamborine for the first time and hubbie decided to book us 3 nights here WOW, from the minute we met Helen we felt at home - the place is immaculate inside and out, and very welcoming Our room was beautifully furnished with a private balcony, huge bathroom including spa bath and robes Continental breakfast included - great choice of cereals, breads, cold meats etc - loved eating while watching Peter in the gardens feeding the local turkeys and cockatoos! Excellent info in the folder in the room plus large amounts of leaflets on display, but Helen was amazing at knowing exactly what we were looking for - gave us a great choice of eating and drinking options in the area, and even the name of a local guy to use as a taxi driver as Ubers are few and far between! Gallery Walk within walking distance, but be prepared for a hill climb! Will definitely be back!

Mountain Sanctuary B&B is very warm and welcoming purpose built establishment located only a short stroll to gallery walk yet far enough for that tranquil Tamborine experience. As a bonus, palm grove national park is at the end of the street which is a hidden gem and not given enough marketing on the beauty of this hiking trail. Beds / pillows and linen all top notch and were very comfortable crisp and clean. The rainforest view from our sanctuary room was perfect. We even enjoyed the luxury of a quick hot spa bath after a hike and before we ventured to the mountain distillery for a little tipple ( free taste voucher supplied- thank you ) . Also worth a mention is the fine dining restaurant - again walking distance - Pippin Took which was recommended. Would definitely recommend this B&B for its comfort, convenience, breakfast and genuine good old hospitality. My only other recommendation is to book direct with them. We will return.

Peter and Helen are beautiful hosts and their B & B is absolutely amazing. A magnificant breakfast is provided every morning in beautiful surrounds. The rooms were so comfortable, quiet and so cosy that we just wanted to stay there and not go out. You also have use of a lounge with a fire place whihc was perfect when we were there. It is close to everything. Cheryl and Peter go out of their way to help you. Excellent
