Brought the family and did so many of the activities. We stayed for 4 nights but would have happily stayed for more as there is so much to do. We played the mini golf every day as it is a great course and our family really enjoyed it. The restaurant food is great as well – we had 2 dinners and breakfast was included in our rate, so we had breakfast every day. The kids loved the pancakes! We stayed in a 2 bedroom Creek Lodge which is within a rainforest and Cedar Creek is a stone’s throw from the cabin. We loved having the windows open and listing to the birdlife and other sounds of the bush. We played a game most nights working out the sounds. The best one was the hoot of a nearby owl as none of us had ever heard an owl before. We normally go interstate for these holidays but we think we may come back here next September as we think we will be rfeady for another Cedar Creek Lodges fix.

My wife and I recently stayed at the Cedra Creek Lodges at Thunder Bird Park, and I found it rather disappointing. I was under the impression that it was all standalone cabins but that was not the case. I think a standalone cabin would have been much better.
1. The Heritage Spa room we stayed in was part of a line of motel type rooms on the hillside part of the park. If you are elderly or have a disability it is quite a walk down to Thunder Bird Park where the Kiosk and Restaurant are located, but then you must walk back up again so that could be challenging for some. You can drive down to the car par park near the restaurant though.
2. The room was dated and could do with a complete upgrade. The main point being, that you had to unplug appliances to be able recharge ipad/phone etc. There were no power points next to the bed and the only one near the bed was at the back of it, which required you to pull the bed out and unplug the lights. Poowre points with USB ports would do the trick. Also, I think the spa bath should be separate from the shower, as it poses a slip hazard getting in and out.
3. The parking areas at the building are numbered for the room, however if, which happened to us, some ignorant person decides to park in your car park spot, then it causes a flow on effect, as you them must park in someone else’s spot. It wasn’t a big problem; however, we did notice that someone also double parked behind the vehicle in our room number spot the next morning.
4. It was a Saturday, and there was a wedding on the far side of the park, and the beat of the music was flowing up to the high area of our building, not a big problem, but if you wanted an early night that wasn’t going to happen.
5. At around 1100pm a group of people, obviously from the wedding, decided that they would stand outside our room and have a loud talk and laugh, to the extent that I had to ask them to be quiet, as other people were trying to sleep. To their credit, they apologised, and the noise slowly drifted away.
6. At 1130pm the people in the room next to us decided to have a spa bath (the noise is loud enough to keep you awake). That went on until midnight.
7. At 6:00am, people once again, could be heard outside talking/singing then at 6:30am the people in the room next door decide to have another spa bath. Too bad if you wanted to sleep in.
8. Dinner at the restaurant was great, the food was very good and well presented, and the staff were very efficient.
Having made all the above points, I would point out that, except for the room, none of the above were the fault of the Lodges management, it is just to point out what can happen in that location. As I said, I think the cabins on the creek would be a better choice.
It is a great place to take the kids, but if you have 3 or 4 kids it would be very expensive to try out all the attractions.
If you are looking for a quiet, romantic getaway, this is not the place.
Would we stay there again? Probably not.

We would like to thank this guest for sharing his experiences. It is a shame that people are so disrespectful of others and we regret this occurred when this couple stayed with us. A suggestion regarding our accommodation options: the following link will reflect quite clearly what all of our accommodation options are, by both their images and descriptions... https://www.cedarcreeklodges.com.au/rooms-lodges.html The newer upgrades - all with USB ports - are naturally priced higher than the older styles. We will get to refurbishing them all over time, but it's impossible to do it all at once.

Spent 2 nights in a Creek Lodge & found it very relaxing. Even though there are 2 bedrooms, it feels more like a couples cottage. Enough space to not feel cramped but also have all the amenities. The wood fire (already set upon arrival with kindling being topped up each morning) kept the whole cottage warm. The use of glass louvers really made it feel you were a part of the rain forest & the sound of the running creek was the perfect sleep app! Bed provided a comfortable sleep, again overlooking the creek & rain forest. Plenty of activities on hand at the park (aimed at families) & even though it was school holidays & large day visitor numbers, it didn't intrude on the serenity at the cottages. Plenty of bush walks to be had in and around the area to build up an appetite. Being able to cook at the cottage was good, but also plenty of dining options available locally, including the parks own Rainforest Restaurant & Lounge Bar. Breakfast was included with our room & my wife & I agreed, it was the best cooked breakfast we've had in a very long time. The food quality & quantity, along with the setting & the friendliness & professionalism of the staff was better than we have experienced at the Pullman Brisbane Hotel. Phone reception was poor at the cottage but fine on the road in, whilst internet is provided. An ideal place to just get away from the everyday & relax - reading a book on deck, having a spa bath...

The cleanliness of the cabin was atrocious. There was urine left in one of the toilets upon our arrival and because the sky light in the 2nd toilet didn't have a cover (was missing) there were bugs everywhere. The cleaners came back to clean it but 30 minutes later more bugs so we could not use that toilet at all....disgusting. All bench tops were grotty, even the leather couches needed a wipe over. We had to ask for a mop so we could mop the floors ourselves, because the cleaners didn't vacuum after we asked them too. There was mouse poo right in front of the fire place and the back patio was absolutely covered in filth. We couldn't use the back area at all in our 4 days, couldn't enjoy a cuppa or breaky outside.

We paid over $400 a night for that cabin and the fact we had to clean it ourselves before we felt we could relax (we have 3 kids 7, 5 and 4 months) was extremely poor. Definitely not worth the hype or money.

Reception team didn't seem to care and or apologise for the filth either.

We got a bottle of bubbly to say sorry, a clean room was all I wanted.

Overall very poor experience and will not return. Extremely disappointed as this was one place we had always wanted to bring our little family and was left very underwhelmed.

Thank you for your review and I was disappointed to read it. I was even more saddened by the fact that this lodge - one of my personal favourites - did not live up to its normally very high standard for you and your family. I will be discussing this feedback with the managers of our Housekeeping and Maintenance Departments, so that future guests in this lodge can be rest assured they will experience the high standard that it normally delivers.

We booked one night premium room , frog lodge in Cedar Creek Lodge, extremely disappointed.Room needs lots of maintenance. Cleaner did not do a good job. Stains on walls everywhere which were disgusting. Water pipe noice is the huge issue. We went to bed at 9.30p.m. Next door room guest returned. When the use water, we can hear water flushing downpipe, we could not sleep the whole as we could hear next door talking, laughing and water pipe flushing....such a nightmare. I phoned the care service told her the problem and she said there was no other rooms available and General Manager would return to work in two days time. We wanted to leave immediately but Mt Tambourine's road is too dangerous to drive at night. Customer service at front desk was the rudest, unfriendly and not helpful in the world. A receptionist could not even point out Long Road / Gallery walk on map, she gave me the map and let me figure out by myself. It was a true nightmare to stay at Cedar Creel Lodge. I will never ever return again.

We recently attended for a family members wedding. The wedding venue and service during the event itself was excellent. We could not fault this aspect of our stay at all. Unfortunately there were a few things that let the place down. We were very disappointed with the quality of food in the restaurant. We had breakfast one morning and did not return. The food was cold and not cooked properly.
The creek lodges are in a beautiful location however are a bit tired and could do with some modernization/upgrade particularly the bathroom. We also felt the cleaning standard needed improvement.

We are pleased you enjoyed the wedding - your comments will be passed onto our wedding team. We are surprised and disappointed by your comments about breakfast, as we generally receive excellent feedback about our restaurant. Your feedback will be passed onto our Food & Beverage Manager for him to address with his team. Regarding the Creek Lodges, we are in the process of updating these, along with all our other rooms and lodges which we do on a regular basis. My apologies if they were not up to standard during your stay.

Lovely getaway that is close to Brisbane and only 10 mins from the shops on Tamborine. Lots of access to the the creek with lots of rock hopping for the little ones. So relaxing to get back to natures Room was comfortable and very affordable even during a holiday period. Breakfast was delicious!! Would have loved to have tried the restaurant for dinner but it doesn’t open early in the week but the kiosk was open for dinner.

We were delighted when we found that Cedar creek lodges has a Pooch package and we could bring our 6mth old fur ball with us!
The lodge was roomy yet cosy with a fire place to keep us warm, all the amenities including a generous supply of coffee tea and hot chocolate with Tim tams! They even left doggie treats in the room on arrival. We had two nights in our lodge and were able to go to dinner in the restaurant at a nice table with access to the courtyard so our fur ball could go outside if needed. The staff made us very comfortable and set us up with a dog bowl by the table as well. Beautiful food, people and scenery! We Bush walked to the cedar creek falls on the Saturday which was magical and then had time at the Thunderbird park amusements later on. Plenty for the whole family, would recommend highly

This room has been recently renovated and everything is sparkling clean and the furnishings are really nice. It is self-contained, however apart from making a cup of tea, we didn’t do any cooking as we went away to be spoilt. We ate in their restaurant both nights. One night we had the share plates and the other night we chose to go for the larger main meals. We thought it was good that you had a choice of both types of food offerings. The jacuzzi is large in the courtyard and a suggestion is that you let the staff know if you are planning to use it as they will turn it on in advance. We did let them know before we arrived, so it was nice and hot for us on arrival.

We recently had our QLD team workshop/retreat over 3 days and were thrilled to be able to stay at Cedar Creek Lodges. Our accommodation was idyllic, the conference room was spacious + well-equipped, the food was delicious and we were able to wrap up our days with a fun game of mini gold at Thunderbird Park located on the premise. The team at the lodges were very kind and helpful throughout our entire stay which really helped everything run smoothly.

We were also really pleased to find that their environmentally minded operations aligns with our own company values. Thanks for having us Cedar Creek Lodges, we had a wonderful time!
