Lovely stay in this welcoming old-world venue, with an excellent location. The original Manor with an amazing history of being one of the first inhabited properties in the locality, continues to remain part of the overall Manor, with Cafe, Bar, Indoor and outdoor eating areas as well as a restaurant. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. There is a swimming pool along with a tennis court. The rooms themselves are more in keeping with a suite. An open fireplace, four-poster bed and large dressing area adjacent to the bathroom facilities, added greatly to the comfort. Free parking and Wifi on site. Food was delicious, well presented and timely. The host and hostess went out of their way to ensure a pleasant stay. There three nights, and won't hesitate to go back.
5 of us met at the Manor for lunch at the Bungunyah Restaurant. We had a variety of main courses, steak, burgandy pie, soup and ravioli. Then all indulged with date pudding, waffles and gateau cake!! It was an excellent meal and very reasonably prices. The service staff were very friendly and the meals were serviced promptly. Highly recommend this restaurant for a meal.
Delicious food, friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. Quirky venue with different eating areas and lovely gardens. Old word charm and a great location. Will visit again when next on Mount Tamborine.
We stayed two nights in this unique, friendly and comfortable hotel. The room, including the four poster bed, was spacious, clean and beautifully appointed. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the restaurant was cosy and atmospheric with excellent, well priced food. Within easy walking distance of the Gallery Walk, I would highly recommend it.
We have always loved coming here for a couple of nights. It is so close to everything e.g. the Gallery Walk. However, the lady that checked us in could have been a little more warm and welcoming. Also, the bathroom is looking a bit tired e.g. the toilet had a slow leak, tiles cracked. The fireplace doesn't work (actually it hasn't worked in all the years we have been coming here). Is there a possibility of installing one of those 'fake' fireplaces in the fireplace spot which actually do give off heat? They would be safer than gas or wood. And it would give a great ambience.
