Quiet town but well located for the Senda del Oso. We had a luxurious dinner every day; very good hand. Simple but correct room. Highly recommended. Very close and friendly treatment. If the idea is to take walks or bike rides, a good area.

Cosy establishment, extraordinary staff, they´ll make you feel at home. Ideal location if you´re into hiking or just want to explore this beautiful area. Rooms are functional and acceptable. Easy parking just in front of the hotel.

This hotel was very clean and looked like it was just renovated. Mother and daughter owners were very accomodating. It was a joy staying here.

Very clean, comfortable and all the staff were welcoming and friendly.
Antoine went above and beyond to help me find a motorbike repair garage when I really needed one!
We had an evening meal too, the plate of food we were served more than hit the spot, very generous portions.
I highly recommend a visit to Hotel Torrepalacio.
Just a shame we only stayed one night.

Family and very cozy hotel. We were a group of 20 people for a week. Correct installations. Great breakfast and dinner. The treatment, both from Laura in the hotel and from Oky in the kitchen, was unbeatable. Surely if we return to the area WE WILL REPEAT.

Friendly hotel. English spoken. Laura is lovely, chef amazing and Antonio super helpful. They went above and beyond, we had a motorcycle that broke down and they supported the rider who arrived by taxi later. We needed a new tyre on a motorbike and Antonio sorted it out. Fantastic hotel. Highly recommended.

To start with, bad reception and dirty bathroom. The receptionists were making more noise than the local performer in the plaza in front of the hotel until 01:30 in the morning!! Impossible to sleep also from the noise in the inside of the building. Poor breakfast, but cheap @ 3 euros. Room @ 60+ euros for a double room as described. Obviously not recommended.
Btw, they don't have a private parking space, as mentioned on Tripadvisor's services, but there is a public parking area right in front of the hotel.

Given the name and the price (not cheap) this hotel was a great disappointment.
It was dingy, the man in charge unfriendly, the bathroom mouldy.
Our room, at the front, was noisy from fast-moving traffic through the square. Also, loud people until late. (The noise bounced off the buildings.)
The 'lounge' area had a light which reacted to movement or went off - so we had to keep waving our arms to be able to read there - until someone came upstairs and simply switched the light off. We couldn't find out how to switch it on again. So an unusable room in the evening!
We ate elsewhere as the hotel was unpleasant.
It almost seems we were at a different hotel from the last English contributor but some of the Spanish reviews agree with us.

Booked via Booking.com, and this was a real gem. Family run hotel, very warm welcome, and more than happy for us to abandon our bags and helmets in reception after check-in so we could down a cold beer before going up to our rooms.
Rooms were a good size, very clean and tidy with a good bathroom. Shutters provided good black-out properties too. All rooms have a view, because the village of Proaza is surrounded by hills, so all sides have a good view. The hotel is located on the village square, (free parking on the square for our motorbikes) next to what looked like the town hall. This had a bell that tolled every 1/4 hour, but our ear plugs meant it didn't disturb us through the night.
After a stroll around the village, where we were pleasantly surprised at the number of bars and restaurants open even on a sunday evening in Spain, we came back to the hotel and dined in the restaurant. Great food, good portions and reasonable priced.
Breakfast was amazing value at 3 euros in the bar area. For this you got fresh orange juice, a tea or coffee and a choice toast with preserve/salsa or a croissant. The croissants were the largest I have ever seen! Certainly set us up for the day.
Area wise there are lots of footpaths and walks along the river or up into the hills.. There were also signposts for a cycle trail, but we didn't venture down it.
We were aware before we travelled that the areas we planned to tour were not touristy, so there wouldnt be much English spoken, but we got by. On the occasion that my pigeon-Spanish clearly wasn't up to the task, the gentleman I was trying to ask about breakfast times shot off and came back with another member of staff who did understand what I was trying to say. They were very patient and happy to help us out when we asked questions about pronunciation etc.
We hope to return to the area again, and plan to stay at this hotel again, so we highly recommend it to you!

Last Saturday, the 8th was celebrated in the restaurant Traslavilla the feast of the Comadres, for me fur TOP, both the good dinner he shared with an expanded attention, as well as the organization of the festive event, next year if possible I will repeat, have a great time. My ranking therefore TOP.
