Not a luxury hotel but much more! Comfortable, clean with very friendly staff, our room was more than big enough with a lovely view, peace and quiet. We could make hot drinks in our room which we appreciated when arriving tired from our journey. We got immediate answers when needed, documents to help with our stay and we were even...

Booked to stay here for 5 nights as lots of reviews of more central hotels weren't favourable in terms of noise. Was also attracted to the fact there was a chance of seeing the Northern Lights without even leaving the hotel and that there was a hot tub for guest use. We couldn't have chosen a better place to stay!...

Our rooms were large, light, warm and airy with spectacular views of the mountains. Shaun on reception was extremely helpful pointing out all the local sights and amenities that were available. In fact all the staff were extremely helpful including letting us have an early breakfast and ringing up our tour operator when our pickup was a little late for...

The check-in was easy even though we arrived several hours late. The room #14 had a nice view, good size with modest furnishings and was clean. Not being familiar with radiant heating we asked for and promptly received extra covers. Never needed them. The bathroom had a burned out light and that was immediately replaced. We found the breakfast very...

Staff expeptionally helpful. Would recommend that if you stay you get a hire car as its a bit out from the capital even though there is a bus stop...

This old fashioned country hotel has large triple rooms(did not see a double, so don't know how large these are), bathtub and lots of windows. It has a bar/breakfast area with a pub feel, lots of interesting wall displays, a pool tables, sun room and large screen TV, something for everyone, plus the owner's antique car collection is scattered around...

Had three nights here, while we explored this wonderful island. We were upgraded to a suite with the most wonderful view of the snow covered mountains. Room really warm and water hot. The carpet quite soiled at the doorway. Breakfast was quite adequate, with waffle maker as a nice addition. Sean on reception was very informative and knowledgeable, friendly and...

Stayed one night on arrival into airport as it was on the way to Lake Myvatn. They have a system for key collection at night (I arrived 1am). Room was huge and like new, just faultless. Quite. Good parking. Breakfast included. For the price - given the country - a bargain
