Rooms are clean and comfortable, except the cot bed which is terrible (see picture), good wifi in rooms but not in rest of hotel. Hotel is next door to largest KFC in Europe, Dominos pizza and Subway are located across the road. There is a fabulous bakery/cafe in walking distance. The hotel decor reminds you of a second hand bric-a-brac...

Hello Happy to hear you found our rooms clean and our staff pleasant ,but its sad to hear for all the rest was negative . The collection of odd old things is due to the Hotel owner as he likes collecting old unique items as a hobby . I did attempt to try and help you with your boarding pass...

we stayed at this hotel our first four days in Iceland. If you are looking for a clean and affordable hotel I highly recommend this place. The staff Shaun and Nunu were great. Very helpful and willing to go the extra mile. They also have a little hotel bar and the bar men were courteous and full of good restaurant...

Good base for touring south east Iceland and Reykjavik. Excellent bedroom - spacious, comfortable, great views. Only complaint was that the breakfast buffet was poor. But overall excellent value for a very good hotel near the capital

Hotel Laxnes made our stay in Iceland wonderful. We had a family suite with a balcony, and the view of the mountains was stunning. The hotel was charming, clean and comfy. Sean and Nunu helped us plan our outings before arrival and once we were there. The hotel is about 10 minutes outside Reykayvik and a welcome calm from the...

First stop hotel on a week long escape to Iceland. The room was clean and sizeable and the beds were comfortable. Checked-in without hassle and the staff were friendly. Would consider this hotel again. Our purpose was not to look for lavish hotels, but one that is a clean bed and shower and we trek across the country

Recently completed a 6 night stay at the Hotel Laxnes and definitely recommend this hotel for long & short term visits. The hotel is located in the pretty hamlet of Mosfellsbaer, 15 to 30 minutes out of Reykjavik depending on the form of transportation you use but don't let that deter you from choosing this venue. We chose the Laxnes...

Picked this place because the TripAdvisor reviews were really positive and the location met our needs, as we were driving back toward the airport from the Westfjords. The first impression of the place is that it's a dark sports bar, with a hotel attached -- which put me off a little. But we checked in without a problem and were...

Let me begin with the positives: the room was clean and spacious. The location is great for traveling to Reykjavik or the attractions nearby with easy access to the highway. Unfortunately the negatives simply outweighed the few positives. The breakfast was barely adequate. On the first day, the coffee tasted like it had been brewed hours ago. There was a...

My family and I stayed at the Hotel Laxnes, located in the capital region of Reykjavik. It was a lovely stay in a location accessible to many attractions. Many attractions like hiking, horseback riding, sight seeing and a wonderful water park for the children are readily available.
