I've found this place as one of the most cozy and welcoming places in Japan. Not only because of its excellent location, but also because the staff will make you feel like at home. Stone's throw away from JR Namba station, so it's great if you have your JR pass. I strongly recommend this place to everyone. Also, there are two bars nearby belonging to the same company where you'll feel the best experience in Osaka. You won't wanna leave!

My wife and I rented a private room and were pleasantly surprised to find a modern room with several of the charming points of life in Japan. The place was typically small, yet had a proper genkan at the entrance. The room was clean with windows on two walls, properly shaded--essential after a long night out and needing to sleep in. The toilet and washroom were seperate, which again are nice features. We heard Japanese, English and Spanish spoken fluently while we were checking in, so there's another plus if you are looking for advice on where to go and what to do while you're in Osaka. It's a sweet deal found right in the middle of Namba. Thanks Lapichu!

It is a convenient accommodation, the room was clean, smelling good, and almost feel like your own home. it has Wi-Fi, space of the room is nice, the people are nice, it is near to a 24-hr restaurant Sukiya, almost near to JR station and Nankai Station. I would definitely recommend this place! and would comeback again!!

This place has almost everything small, and communal but still cozy. The room we got was good for backpackers as it has 3 triple bunk beds (9 people in total can share this tight room, strangers and/or friends). Bed can be suffocating if you get the middle section and your head could bang the ceiling if youd have the top bunk. Bathroom in the room is really small, though you can use the common bathroom by the receiving area. The inn is a short walk to Dotonburi, where youd want to be at night time in Osaka. The owner, Oscar, is cool, and speaks English (kinda hard to find in Osaka), and would make you feel quite at home in his inn.

Casa Lapichu is a great place to stay, it's homely and really funky. It's conveniently located near Namba station and only a short walk to Dotonburi (Ate takoyaki every night!). Oscar and his staff are really friendly and make you feel welcome, you also get a free drink at his bar! Would definitely stay again, it was a great way to meet people and still be able to see all that Osaka has to offer :) The place is really narrow so lugging your luggage up the stairs is a bit tough, but staff are happy to help.
