We stay here 2 feb 2020 - 5 feb 2020 before lockdown covid19, Breakfast awesome, location strategic, room big, and the have room for smoker, i love every simple detail about this hotel, i will come and stay this hotel again
I stayed here recently and absolutely loved it. I believe I was upgraded to a premium room on the 19th floor (hotel was very empty due to the virus situation) and the room was spacious, immaculately clean and well laid out and had stunning views over Osaka. The bathroom was Japanese toilet perfection, an excellent shower and a bath with a view out in to the bedroom and thus, out over the city. Television was a smart TV which allowed me to log on to my Netflix which is very refreshing. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided too. The bed was very comfy and all the lights can be controlled from the iPad next to the bed. My one complaint about the iPad is that it seems to be the only place where you can switch on the Do Not Disturb sign. Normally there's either a card to hang on the door or a switch by the door. Having the DND on/off on the iPad is a bit confusing as it is hidden in a sub menu so some people may not be able to find it. Breakfast was decent but due to the virus the buffet had been suspended so it was just direct from the kitchen. They have takeaway cups so that you can get a coffee to go. The staff spoke good English, were very helpful and polite and did a great job. Lots of hand sanitizer around the place too. On the ground floor there is a 24 hour family mart attached to the building so late night snacks are catered for. The bar on the top floor has great views over Osaka but I was surprised to find that there is a cover charge for guests of about ¥1300 which means that the one (small) beer I had ended up costing me about £18! Easily the most expensive beer I've ever bought in any bar in the world, and I live in London! In other words, it's not worth going up there if you just want a drink or two because the cover charge makes it too expensive. Only go if you are planning to stay for a long time. I think they should consider removing the cover charge for guests. Also, it was not mentioned to me that there was a cover charge, it just turned up on the bill. If they decide to continue charging it then they should tell you before you order. Ignoring the bar, the hotel is excellent, and is very conveniently placed by Namba metro station (exit 12 leads directly to the hotel). You can take a rapid express train from Namba directly to Kansai airport and the Midosuji line is a very useful metro line that will connect you to Shin Osaka (for Shinkansen) and Osaka (for Kobe etc) in the north or Tennoji (Kansai airport) in the south. I would definitely stay again.…
The hotel is new and convenient, however the double room was much smaller than expected, I have booked through agent and did not realise the double room is much smaller than the twin room despite the same price. The service was extremely slow, it took us 30 minutes to check-in even the staff serving us seemed to be a senior staff.
Stayed a night. Guess they charge a premium for the location which is not vital as there are many hotels in the same area. Lobby lack of ambiance. Standard room have not character at all. Why keep people waiting till 3pm when you have plenty of rooms available at 2pm? Taking about service ? Nice toiletries from Panpuri (Thai brand)and ok bath tub! Bed is comfy. Big room. Just not worth the price !
This hotel has just opened in Dec 2019. It’s a very modern hotel but comparing similar standard rooms the rooms at the cross hotel were a lot better. The staff are very welcoming and we were there during the lunar new year weekend when the coronavirus was hitting the headlines so it was nice to see lots of antibacterial hand gel as well as complimentary surgical face masks at check in. We were only here for one night as we had a flight from Osaka the next morning so was convenient to get the train from Osaka-Namba. There is even a direct entrance from the station to the hotel. Breakfast was very nice with lots of fresh offerings. If you stay here you must visit their rooftop bar with great views of the city, there was a really lovely barman from Peru who made us lovely drinks and was very welcoming (sorry! I don’t remember his name)…
