Rooms are small but this is quite typical for business hotel rooms in Japan, so no complaints there. Staff were nice and friendly at all times. Location is brilliant not only for exploring Osaka but as a base for getting out into the Kansai region too as it is just a stone's throw from Namba Station, from which you can easily get to Nara and Kyoto. Its close to the Dotonbori area but far enough away from the real hustle and bustle that you can get some peace, 7-Eleven just down the street too which is always handy.
I loved our stay here. The service was wonderful and the rooms are perfectly sized for the stay (3 of us in the room. The rooms are clean and well stocked with items for stay. Breakfast is simple but enough to start off the day. It's at the perfect location as well. Really perfect. Will definitely come back!
The best thing about Hotel Art Inn Namba is its location. You would probably get very weary going around Dotonbori, then having to make your way through the crowd in the metro/trains would just further drain you. If you’re sensitive with noise, probably not the best place for you as soundproofing isn’t a strong suit in this hotel. Their breakfast offering is decent (breads, juice, coffee, hard boiled egg and potato salad) but 7-11 is literally thirty seconds walk if you wanted a cheap alternative.
its location is really close to everything. namba train and bus station are nearby and walking distance. a short walk from the famous dotonbori for shopping and food trip. the filipino staff are very helpful and accommodating. they clean the room and replenish the toiletries and towels daily. breakfast was basic. a bit pricey but japan in general is always pricey. :) will definitely go back next time.
I just finished staying 5 nights at Hotel Art Inn Namba in early February 2019. The greatest thing about the hotel is its location. You are within blocks of the all the things that made you want to stay in Namba--the countless food options, night life, the iconic Glico Man sign and Kani Doraku crab restaurant, Shinsaibashi, Amerikamura, etc. As many reviewers mention, the rooms ARE small, so large groups or large people should maybe think twice about staying. Frankly though, rooms are almost always small in Japan in my experience, so don't let that be a deterrent to staying in a hotel with a great location and very kind staff. The hotel will gladly let you store your bags before check-in or after you check-out. While the breakfast is more like a snack, the staff is very enthusiastic to get you coffee and potato salad to start your day, and what could be better than that? All in all, I would stay here in a heartbeat on my next trip to Osaka!…
