If you are looking for a modern big room hotel, this is not for you. Luggage can only be opened when on top of your bed. No daily housekeeping, self service towel change. This small hassles were tolerable. That being said, the room amenities were all functional. Location was great, 5 minutes walk to Kameido station, 2 minutes walk to the Clock Kameido Mall, beside a Lawson convenient store. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful at all times.

This hotel is really decent. The biggest advantage is location. Rooms are small, bathroom is even smaller. But if you don't plan to spend entire days in the hotel, it's more than enough. Easy access from Narita Airport (don't take expensive Narita Express but Kesei Main line from Narita to Motoyawata, cost ~800 yen and than change for Metro: Shinjuku line to S-14 Nishi-Ojima, hotel is 7 min walk from this station). You can access entire Tokyo from this station easily. In 5 mins walk you can find a lot of good restaurants, I recommend to go to Kameido, 10 min but really many nice places to eat. Shop is just in front of the hotel, open late night. Hotel has free and fast internet. Towels, toothbrush, pijamas, everyhing you need. Rooms are not cleaned during stay but I don't see it as a problem. Overall, I recommend Mystays Kameido hotel. I'm not giving max because of really small things, missing shelfs or cupboards, missing hangers for shirts.

Pros: The highlight of this property is clearly location: A calm, quiet neighborhood with easy access to Tokyo's outstanding train system.

Cons: The staff was a little cold toward me, not saying a word between check-in and check-out. I was surprised by this, as it is uncharacteristic of the Japanese style of customer service.

Thoughts: Hotel MyStays is a pretty typical Japanese business hotel chain: Bed, bath, towels, toiletries and kitchenette for a low price. What seems to set the Kameido location apart is the very pleasant, quiet "everyday life" setting. Upon exiting Kameido station from the East exit to Keiyo Road, you can see the tree-lined brick path which leads to the hotel. The neighborhood is small and quiet, but well-served by vending machines and convenience stores (Lawson across the street, 7-Eleven around the corner) and lots more shops and restaurants around the station, which is minutes away. I enjoyed walking to the station (which connects to major train hubs for easy access to many JR lines) every morning and seeing the locals going about their daily business. The area around the hotel is uncrowded and makes for a calm atmosphere amid the usual bustle of Tokyo. The room itself is unsurprisingly small, with a typically-Japanese firm bed. The bathroom is pretty tiny but stocked with soap, shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste and disposable safety razor. The room also features a heat/AC unit, a mini-fridge and a small microwave which came in handy for re-heating bento dinners. There is a workspace with a chair, with easy-access AC outlets and an Ethernet port for wired internet. There was also fast wifi, which was great for uploading photos from my phone in the evening. Overall, I would say it's a great value for the price if your expectations are reasonable.

Very near train station, convenient to travel around Tokyo. Relatively cheap accommodation, nice neighborhood with malls and convenience stores within 5 mins walking distance.

Clean room and toilet, wifi router free upon request at the reception. No room cleaning services, but clean towels available upon request at the reception again.

Reception speaks fluent english, no communication issues.

Recommend to pay Poko Cafe a visit in the mornings. Simple but delicious breakfast served by a nice, old gentleman.

Basically, no complaints. Had a very enjoyable stay as a solo traveller. Stayed a total of 5 nights from 20th dec to 25th dec

The hotel bedrooms are not similar to the ones in the pictures. I can not believe this lie!! I was at Mystays Osaka yesterday and it was disgusting but , even so, I think I prefer that hotel to this one.
It is small, dirty and has no relationship with what you see in the pictures!! I highly recommend you not to book here.
They have no cleaning service included, unbelievable!!!!
Unfortunately I will have to stay here three more nights... Absolutely disappointed and regret having booked here!!

Dear Guest, Thank you very much for sharing your comments regarding your stay at HOTEL MYSTAYS Kameido. Please accept my most sincere apologies that we came short in satisfying your needs despite you chose ours among many hotels for your stay. Regarding the room size, some rooms could be a little bit too compact for those travelling with big suitcases and backpacks. It is quite difficult for us to renovate them as soon as possible due to the structure of the building, so we could gain your confidence with any other services instead. As for the room cleaning, we have no cleaning service for the guests of consecutive stay in order to keep it private. We can also clean up the room with an extra charge as an option when guest requests. Moreover, the guests could request the new towels and amenities every day at the front desk for free, but we are truly sorry that our staff left you lack of information. Please rest assured that I will address your concerns with our team focusing on continuous improvement to move forward. Regardless, thank you so much for your feedback regarding your stay and my apologies once again. Sincerely, Makoto Watanabe, Manager, HOTEL MYSTAYS Kameido

We stayed at this hotel twice, for 4.5 weeks total, while attending a short-term language school near by. I am happy with my money spent. This is not really a hotel, but an efficiency self-service studio. It has TV, microwave, toilet + shower, reliable internet, air conditioner all in a pint size room typical in Tokyo. The rooms we had were both clean and neat when we moved in. Clean linens can be purchased downstairs when change is needed.

The hotel is in a residential area not too far out from Akihabara: 7 min walk to JR Kameido Station, and 2 min to a small shopping complex which has a supermarket, a convenient drug store, a bookstore, a restaurant, and a few shops.

Some of the hotel staff spoke some English. They may not be able to give you a lot of assistance but enough for check-in/out. Once you are in your room, the internet can tell you everything else. Kameido is not the most fun area in Tokyo but mass transportation can take you anywhere within reasonable time. For a quarter of the price of a large hotel, Mystays Kameido is a great stay.

5,300 yen for a night. Great price for Tokyo.

Kameido is slightly far from Tokyo city center. I think it would be better if we stayed at another Weekly Mansion branch for slightly more but nearer to the city.

However, the hotel is within walking distance to the train station. It is next to the green park/path, you won't get lost if you find it.

Rooms are functional and an OK size. There is a Japanese bathtub in the toilet.

There is a laundry room downstairs at affordable rates. Wireless Internet is not available but a LAN cable is provided in the room. You can also pay for porn channels *wink*, according to the brochures in the room.

My mother and I stayed here on two separate nights. We left one of our our luggage with the hotel as we head to Kansai. When we came back, they already left our luggage in our room. Very good service.

Neighborhood is quiet. There are many shops around: convenience store, BOOK OFFs (2nd hand book store chain), a Donki Honte (Japan's amazing we-have-everything store) and a newly opened Uniqlo at the train station.

I’m a US traveler and booked this hotel for the New Years. The room is clean and priced right for the size. The staff are extremely friendly and assist when possible. The walk to the subway system was approximately 7 to 10 minutes. Hotel is 2 hours 8 minutes from Mt. Fiji by train. Hotel is 1 hour 25 minutes from Narita and Haneda Airport by train. Shinjuku-Ku and Akashi is approximately 40 minute train ride. We purchased the Suscia card for the train and put 4000 yen on each card. That lasted a four full days. Use cabs for really short trips cause they are expensive.

Use East exit from Kameido Station with JR & walk for 10 min along the park. Many cheap food-shop outside the station. Room & bath room was small but only for sleep at night is just ok. Prefer stay in Building P1 because you need throw your rubbish yourself behind the building P1. 1-time transit in Akihabara station to Ueno & direct to Shinjuku station via JR. Overall was satisfied & will be stay again if the room rate was cheap.
