This was the best hotel out of the 5 placed I stayed while traveling in Japan. I booked a Deluxe Double, non-smoking for single use (room #821) which was wonderful; in addition to the comfortable bed, the room had a daybed w/cushions, an upholstered chair w a loose pillow, lots of lighting for reading anywhere in the room, and a large TV which had an English channel. The bathroom shower had great water pressure and temperature. It was conveniently located about 10 mins walk from the train & bus station, so it was easy to walk there but away from the commercial area surrounding the station. It was also near all the main tourist sites (Matsumoto Castle, shrines, Frog Street, etc.) I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Booked this hotel due to many not being available during NYE. It was a pretty good stay! Our room was small but there are bigger rooms available and the bathroom is the typical Japanese style (small) but still everything was clean, and service was good (especially for English speaking tourists). Best thing is the location just walking distance to heaps of food places, Senso-Ji Temple and the subway (4 mins to Akihabara!). Would recommend this if staying in Asakusa

This hotel is in a wonderful area and is close to the largest temple in Tokyo. There are lots of food options nearby and places to explore. It is about a 10-15 minute walk to the subway. The hotel attempts to be first-class but the service was a bit disappointing. Any amenities that you require are available and you can retrieve them from the lobby located in front of the reception area (as opposed to in your room). The buffet breakfast is disappointing and has the feel of a budget hotel with well above budget pricing (about 360,000 Yen). The room was nice with a spectacular view of the tower and temple. Again, it just feels a bit like a budget hotel with non-budget pricing.

It had been a while since I had stayed at Richmond Hotel, as it had been a while since my last visit due to the coronavirus. The fact that there was enough space to put a suitcase in the room and that the cleaning was thorough was superior to other business hotels, and I thought that this advantage would not change.
What was disappointing was that, like other cheap business hotels, they had changed to putting amenities in the lobby instead of the rooms, using SDGs as an excuse. This was clearly a cost-cutting move, and I wish Richmond had not followed suit. There were plenty of toothbrushes and razors in the lobby, but the coffee packs were empty. They said they would refill them later, so I went back to check several times after that, but the coffee packs were always out of stock. It seems that there are foreigners who bring a lot of them, but it would be difficult to keep an eye on them all the time, so I think it would be appreciated by general guests if they put them in each room, and it would also be better in terms of SDGs.
I like Richmond's coffee and was looking forward to enjoying it slowly in my room, so it was very disappointing.

Loved this hotel and its fabulous location right in Asakusa close to the Sensoji Temple and Nakamise-Dori. The room had really comfy beds, good block out curtains, a view of the skytree, all in a good room size especially for Tokyo. There is free coffee available in the lobby all day. Lobby is on Level 5 of the building above a UniQlo store and a food mall. Vending machines, laundry and microwave rooms are located on alternate floors which was handy.

Richmond Hotel Premier Asakusa International is a decent hotel near the Sensoji temple and near to local train stations (JR/Metro/Tsukuba Express). We got a nice view of the of the Sensoji temple and enjoyed the nearby locations of Asakusa. The room size is reasonable and break fast is normal. The front desk staff are helpful and friendly.

I was surprised at the wide view that opened up when I went up to the front desk on the 5th floor.
A rooftop garden with a perfect view of the Skytree and Sensoji Temple was waiting for me.
However, even though the morning glow over the Skytree was beautiful from the room, two of the curtain hooks had come off,
and I tried to fix them, but there were no hooks and I couldn't. It was a shame that the wonderful view somehow turned into a "shabby apartment" look. The bedding was clean and perfect. The coffee service in the lobby was long, and check-in time was only at 2:00, so it felt like a great deal.

I use this hotel as my regular place to stay when I'm in Tokyo. It's back to how crowded it was before the COVID-19 pandemic, but I'm satisfied with the hotel's service, including the unchanged staff. It seems that the amenities have changed since last fall, but you can use what you need as much as you need, so it's not a problem. The breakfast is also the same as always, which I'm also satisfied with. The town of Asakusa was bustling with inbound tourists and school trip students, but the hotel's comfort remained the same, which was reassuring.

Staying in Asakusa is such a treat : walking through Senso-ji at night when the crowds are gone is a magical experience. The hotel was comfortable, clean and safe, with great amenities and a lovely staff. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast, both for the quality and variety of the food, and the beautiful view of the Senso-ji's pagoda and Tokyo Skytree.

Ideal location in Asakusa, in the same building as Uniqlo and across the street from 24 hours Don Quijote. Surrounded by food stalls and restaurants, very short walk to Sensoji Temple.
The bedding was comfortable, there's an assortment of charging cables and plenty of outlets to charge devices. Cool AC was key during the summer heat. Friendly staff who communicate well in several languages.

I would recommend calling. All rooms are western rooms at this hotel so don’t worry about that.
But make sure you get a room with 2 queen beds for 4 people.
I have a family of three and we had three singles in a very small room (normal in Japan).
I don't know but I do know there are a lot of parking areas nearby.
