My family and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and we enjoyed the stay very much. The hotel is strategically located at Asakusa, a colourful food street where you will be spoilt for choice for food options. Sensoji Shrine is within 10 mins walk. The hotel offers one time complimentary drinking water upon arrival. With 2 convenience stores located within 5 mins walk from the hotel, it is very convenient to grab items before heading back to hotel. The hotel offers eco clean housekeeping services so if you are big on sustainability, you will like their initiatives that they change the towels daily and bedsheets and pillow cases are changed every 4 days. If you like full housekeeping services, you can request for it through the friendly staff at the front desk.

We have stayed in this hotel during our April Tokyo Family trip. This hotel have been one of the best hotels you can find in Tokyo. It sits close to the best tourist attractions in Asakusa. The customer service is top notch. Although rooms are small which is typical in Tokyo, it’s size is bigger than some of the hotels in the city. It has everything you can possibly need to have a comfortable and pleasant stay. It has a laundromat which consists of 2 washer/dryer combo on the 13th floor. It has a lounge area on the 2nd floor. I wish the beds and pillows are softer. Comforter is nice. Housekeeping kept our rooms tidy and trash free. Body wash/shampoo/conditioner as well as other personal needs are complimentary. There’s also free coffee by the front desk. Over all our stay have been so relaxing and memorable.

Friendly and polite staffs definitely added the value of our stays. All staffs encountered are fluent in English and willing to assist at any time. Location wise is accessible to subway station, nightlife shopping, bus stop, convenience store, marts and walk-able distance to Asakusa and skytree area.

Location is good if you wish to explore Asakusa area. But still far from metro station.

Room a bit small and hard to move about if you have two medium-sized luggages.

Free coffee in lobby and you also need to take amenities from the lobby to your room,

Room is clean given it’s just opened. Basic cleaning of changing towels and emptying of trash are done daily.

No early check-in or late check-out accorded. Staff were adamant on keeping to the rules. Nothing wrong but being more accommodating will go a long way.

Also, Tokyo Skytree view is nice but the mesh at the window is not so great to take photos.

Thank you for visiting our village ! We are located in the center of Asakusa, which is very convenient for access to Sensoji Temple and long-established restaurants in Asakusa. We would like customers from all over the world to experience “Live Like a Local” here in Asakusa. Skytree can be seen from some of the hotel rooms. Regarding the window mesh, we consider the safety of our guests and local residents in preparation for disasters such as earthquakes. All the staff are looking forward to your return. Shower is tiny, barely fits an average size male. Shower head is fixed, not unable to adjust the angle. Housekeeping has room to improve. We stayed for five evenings and there was a day our room door was left open after housekeeping made our room. It was unacceptable. We were glad that nothing was missing. Front desk staff and manager were friendly and helpful where we had problems. The hotel is in the centre of Asakusa. It is near many grocery stores and restaurants, but a bit far from subway lines. General speaking, the experience is good. I would recommend this hotel only if housekeeping team could work on their performance.

Great hotel . Journey from Haneda to Asakusa is just one metro line (Toei-Asakusa line) and also journey to akihabara only took 5min.
Hotel is also near to Asakusa Rox and have great food nearby truly live up to the motto of live like a local.

Only cons is that the bathroom is small but it is what it is with Tokyo space restrictions.

I still highly recommend this place

Location is great. Rooms clean. Shower room small and bottom of shower panel and door very dirty.
Breakfast provided at Panda Restaurant is not great considering the additional charge for breakfast inclusive room. Breakfast element not value for money at all.

Formally red planet hotel this is now the Far East village hotel. I was so happy to see that it was back as a property because I love the location and I love the rooms. It was the same rooms and amenities as the old property. It did have a little bit of refresh and update. But the beds are comfortable. The shower has incredible water pressure. The soap and shampoo smell fantastic. I love that there’s a small mini fridge and kettle in the room. All of the other personal amenities such as toothbrush, shower cap, comb, etc. are available for you in the lobby along with free coffee. Just a few minutes to walk from the Sensoji shrine, convenient stores, shopping district and several main train stations including the Ginza and Asakusa line. Literally minutes walk from Tawaramachi station. Affordable too. Although the rooms are small, you’re not there to stay in the room. You’re there explore Tokyo.

Modern and clean hotel with really nice and helpful staff. Location was very good. You are few minutes of walk away from Sensō-ji temple, famous Kappabashi Kitchen Tools Street or Sumida river with nice views. Our room had air conditioning, mini fridge, hairdryer and an electric kettle. My height is 189cm and my bed was long enough. Longer than in some hotels in Europe to be honest. Pillow was two sided so you could choose which style suits you more (but it could have been slightly bigger, my only complaint regarding sleeping). Room wasn't very big but it was alright. You can find much smaller rooms for sure. The only complaint regarding our room - there wasn't any storage space for clothes besides few hooks and hangers. But there was space under the each bed where you could store your luggage so that was really nice and helpful. To sum it up, we enjoyed our stay and I am glad we chose this hotel amongst many others that we considered.

It’s a great 3 days stay with Village Hotel Asakusa. Its location is great, and within walking distance to multiple eateries, don quijote, subway, key attractions in asakusa.

The facilities are commendable. They have Nespresso machines at the lobby and a village lounge for you to rest on the 2nd floor. I particularly enjoy sitting by the lobby and people watch during breakfast.

Every time you walk into the reception, there are wonderful smiles. The team members are conversant in English and extremely helpful. I was looking for a volleyball jersey for the Japan team and has been unable to find for the whole trip. The team spent some days searching for it. Thank you Hideo-san (Hotel Manager) and team!

Will definitely be my hotel of choice when in Tokyo, Asakusa area.
