Neighbourhood
Shinagawa, Gotanda
In Shinagawa, an office district shares space with luxury residential buildings and the scene is constantly changing with rapid development. Ikedayama park and Togoshi park are great places to see beautiful traditional Japanese gardens with ponds, as well as enjoy the changing seasons. Shinagawa was a post and a port town during the Edo era and the lavish old Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples at Shinagawa and Ebara are very popular. It's a great place to get in touch with the old Edo atmosphere on a pleasure boat cruising along the canal. The neighboring area around Gotanda station is a study in modern contrasts filled with unique restaurants and a lively nightlife.

Stay in this hotel a few times. Like the location, near the train station with lots of eats nearby. Room are big enough and clean. There is a 7-11 in the hotel and it is well stocked. Toilet size is a bit on the small side.

Slightly pricy lobby bar. Very friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Gym is small, mainly running mats and indoor cycles. Room was old fashioned but did its job for overnight trip. Location fairly near to the railway station.

If you want to move back to the 80´s that is the place to go. The room design is really horrible truly old fashioned but well maintained. The preferred color scheme in the room is brown the same applies to bathroom tiles. Breakfast is really bad the choices for western as well

I like this hotel as the rooms are of a decent size for my family of 2 adults and 3 kids. The hotel has been refurbished since I last stayed here 10 years ago but the rooms look a bit tired and are probably due for another renewal soon. I used the free shuttle to and from

The Grand Prince Takanawa was a great hotel with superb accessibility to the station. It is about a 4 minute walk to the station. People travelling with bags should note that it is a slight uphill walk to reach the hotel. We had priority lounge access all throughout the day

The tickets can be purchased almost immediately when you come through the baggage area so you can’t miss it. Narita Express does stop arbor Shinagawa, station close to Grand Prince. They do have a shuttle but it is an easy walk. There is an airport bus directly to the hotel as well. We took it on the way to the airport - so easy and convenient!
