Long-time Tokyo visitors, this was a first stay for us in Akasaka, and we were quickly won over. The Mimaru is a few easy blocks from the metro, and boasts all the conveniences of a proper living area and kitchen. Beds were among the best we had seen in a while. Front-desk service was excellent. We made ready use of the laundry room while there, and benefited from a wide range of places to pick up delicious food to often enjoy in the quiet of the room. The 7-11 across the street is open 24 hours and was a mainstay of coffee early in the morning with jet lag. The massive malls around Tokyo Midtown and the proximity of 21 21 Design Sight were other pluses. In the afternoons, live accordion music below our window from the Slavic restaurant attached to the hotel sometimes held up naps, our only hitch. We would gladly go back.

This was a fantastic place to stay with our family. Reasonably priced (at least on the deal we got - I'm not sure if that is reflective or not), individual (sofa) beds for the two children, a large bed for us, a kitchenette and a substantial bathroom, all in the heart of Tokyo and easy walk to a major CBD-area (Roppongi).

The room was of a standard expected from a major hotel, and there's a 24 hour laundry, umbrellas to borrow (and a staff member even kindly lent us her's when we discovered we'd been lax in getting up and grabbing one one morning!) and a rooftop area that's a nice bonus to look out over the neighbourhood.

The only two negatives I recall are that Akasaka metro station isn't the most conveniently connected train station but there are another four or five within 15 minutes walk (though our youngest complained about the longer walks), and the rangehood over the stove is the wrong height for someone above about 6'2" as I hit my head literally a dozen times or more over five nights while trying to grab something off the kitchen bench.

Hello, there. Thank you for taking your time to write down this review. We are so glad to hear that you are satisfied with staying at our hotel. Our rooms are 40 ×40 square meter which is nice size for family, and our neighborhood is so convenient where you can easily find a variety of restaurants. As you say, there is roof terrace from that you can enjoy nice view of city. Average Japanese height is shorter, so we are sorry about the inconvenience for you. Hope we will see you again here or any other MIMARU place in Tokyo or Kyoto. Best regards, From front desk team

When we arrived, the hotel gave each guest a mask as there is a shortage of masks in the convenient store already. The hotel also posted restaurant guides in the lobby and even have vegetarian options. The area is very quiet in the weekend but in walking distance there are malls and nice restaurants close by. The room also has a lot of well thought and contemporary design and very well use of space.

We hope every can have healthy and safe trip around the world. We also have alcohol spray at Front Desk until supplies last so be sure to give your hands a spray. The deluxe Japanese suite was smartly appointed with a small table to use during the day and futon beds for kids which could be pulled out at night. Good facilities such as microwave, fridge and kettle.
The service from the front desk staff was the best we have had in Japan. They were proactive and went out of their way to support our two families with sightseeing, taxis ,restaurant bookings and more. Friendly and attentive native-English speaking staff. Across the road from a 7/11 and only a few minutes walk from the train station. Easily able to find taxis out the front.
The area of Tokyo was one we hadn't visited before and we liked the quieter environment, parks and little streets. This was much nicer to explore on foot with young children than areas like Shinkuku, but still close enough to walk to the busier Roppongi area. We will definitely stay here again.

We stayed at the Mimaru Tokyo Akasaka for 8 nights while visiting family. It was conveniently located to our relatives, but also close to Midtown and all sorts of great places to eat and shop. Right across the street is a 7-11 for beverages and snacks. It was quiet and clean and there was a coin-operated laundromat on the main floor. The desk workers were all polite and helpful and most spoke very good English. There were sanitizer dispensers everywhere and as in most of Tokyo the staff wore masks. The linens were changed daily and the room cleaned every three days and you had the option of just picking up your own linens if you didn’t want anyone in the room. The e room has a spacious bed and a kitchenette with a frig and sink and well stocked dishes and silverware. The sitting area had a nice big table that we used a lot! The tub/shower was in a separate room with individual toilet room and sink outside the shower room. Could have used a few more hangers as we were there over a week but all in all it was great. We would stay there again.

We chose MIMARU to spend a relaxed Christmas indoors. The room is really spacious with super comfortable beds and a mountain of soft feather pillows (three per person!). There’s also a kitchen where you can cook your own meal or you can order delivery and pick it up at the front desk.
You can relax in the wide bathtub and any amenities you might need are provided on the first floor. They have a really interesting project where they accept voluntary donations to devolve to the Flower Ring Project, which gives a new life to discarded flowers. There have seasonal rooms with special decorations (this month it was the Christmas room in collaboration with Awesome Store!) and the entrance, hall and rooftop were also beautifully decorated. The staff is really polite and friendly and will readily take a picture for you! The rooftop is open from 10:00 to 22:00 and at night the view is beautifully breathtaking. If you arrive at the hotel before check-in time at 15:00 the staff will kindly keep your luggage for you while you enjoy some sightseeing. This hotel is especially recommended if you travel in large groups (there are rooms for up to 8 people) or plan to stay for an extended period of time (the daily rate becomes sensibly cheaper with the weekly and monthly plans). The rooms are also perfect to enjoy a home party-like experience without the hassle of having to clean up afterwards!
At MIMARU you will surely be able to create beautiful and precious memories with your loved ones!

The apartment hotel is perfectly located just a few minutes away from Akasaka station on Chiyoda line offering great links across Tokyo. There are a lot of options for eating out and getting groceries (7Eleven just across the road, drug store around the corner that does duty free). We stayed in a western style room, it is very spacious for 2 people, offering plenty of space for storage. The room features a big table with 2 large sofas which offers plenty of room for having a meal or laying things out. For 2 people it is hard to find a room this large at this price point. For 3-4 adults, however, we think it would feel rather cramped. The kitchen also has everything you would need. The room was in very good condition. The bathroom is also very nice and big, and they have a great selection of toiletries. The room cleaning was also great, we appreciated frequent towel changes. Small issues we encountered were: no bed side tables, so storage around the bed for essentials isn't very convenient; the Muji kettle is terrible, it is small and spills water when boiling; there is only 1 elevator serving 11 floors which was a little slow. The hotel was not busy when we stayed but if it's fully occupied, this could get pretty annoying. The staff was always polite and helpful, they were happy to receive our mail while we were in Japan and also store our luggage for 1 week while we were away from Tokyo. The hotel also has a nice roof terrace with a fun view of the Tokyo skyline. Overall, for the price point we were extremely happy with Mimaru Akasaka.

We really appreciate you taking the time to share your review and rating. We are very happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay and the roof terrace with a view of Tokyo city. As you mentioned we are an apartment hotel with spacious rooms (around 40m2) including kitchen and kitchen appliances. We also have several rental items such as rice cooker and toaster and we hope our guest would enjoy cooking in their rooms. It is so good to know that you enjoyed the dining space in your room. In our sofa bed apartment room, we have too large sofa beds and in our Japanese style room we have a tatami area with a low table and sitting cushions as dining space. Thank you for sharing your opinion about bed side table, the kettle and elevator. It really helps us to improve our service. We will of course take it to measure and try our best to provide a better experience next time we meet you. We are also glad that our staff could help you during your stay. We hope we can meet you again here in Mimaru Tokyo Akasaka. Mimaru Tokyo Akasaka Front Desk Team

I could not recommend Mimaru enough for what it has to offer. During my family trip to Japan and Korea, I booked 3 different hotels at 3 different price points and Mimaru was my overall favorite for my needs. The party was 4 adults including a senior citizen and a toddler and Mimaru was able to accommodate everyone comfortable. We really appreciated the kitchenet and the spacious bathroom. The futon couch was comfortable enough where my 65 year old aunt had no complaints. The location is perfect as it's very close to a train station and there's great mall not too far away. Lots of shops, coffee shops, and restaurants near by. If you're coming from NRT airport, I recommend getting off at the greenline as it's a straight flat walk to the hotel. The staff was perfect as they were so friendly, available, and approachable. The front desk does speak english and were very helpful at all phases. Would recommend this location and this brand.

We stayed here just after New Year and found the hotel even better than expected. A sort of combo, ryokan/western hotel, the space was perfect for our family of 4. The kids loved sleeping on the futons on tatami mats and the standard beds (two twins pushed together to form a king) worked well for the adults. The bathroom was spacious, immaculate and well appointed. We did not need the efficiency kitchen but would have been nice to have if we had stayed more days. The neighborhood is quiet but a short walk from a lovely park and not far from roppongi. The hotel staff were also very friendly, provided small treats (origami, erasers etc) for the children at check in, and were able to recommend an excellent sushi restaurant for dinner as well as a nice coffee shop for breakfast. There is a 7-11 across the street with ATM and usual provisions. Overall we would highly recommend!

Our family of four stayed at the Mimaru Akasaka for a week this January and we loved it. The room was clean, well appointed, with all the comforts our temporary Japanese home needed. With numerous food outlets by the door, a short 5 minute walk from Akasaka subway (use exit 7) and only minutes to the bustling restaurant hub of Akasaka. The staff were friendly and helpful and my two young daughters had a ball ticking off the items on the complimentary bingo ticket, taking us to places we may not have otherwise visited. Thoroughly recommend the Mimaru Akasaka and we are looking forward to staying at the new Mimaru in Osaka next year.

Thank you for your contact. It might depend on your luggage but we can suggest you 2 ways: ・By taxi:We can arrange a van taxi(Up to 5 people)the price is around 30,000 JPY. ・By taxi+train: You can get a taxi to Tokyo station (2,000 JPY) and from there you can ride whether Narita Express train(6:18hrs.) Or get in the Limousine bus(5:00hrs.) that also departs from the same station. Please notice that for getting to the Airport is better to consider around 2 hours considering the distance. Best regards!
Minato, Japan
Thank you for your question. You can use a train from the airport, for example, you can go from airport to Tokyo station by train and then take a taxi. Also, there are some limousine bus services which sometimes stop around Akasaka area, and from those stops you can take a taxi to our hotel. Of course, the easiest way from airport to our hotel depends on which airport, Haneda or Narita, are you coming from. We hope this answer gives you some ideas how to get to our hotel. We look forward to your stay with us! Best Regards, MIMARU Tokyo Akasaka Front Desk Team
