This hotel would be the perfect set for Mad Men: Tokyo Edition. It's got a cool mid-century vibe and the service is incredibly attentive, if a bit formal for my taste. The rooms are very spacious, comfortable and kept perfectly clean (like Tokyo itself). I...More

Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much
older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.

The new Hotel Okura will open in 2019! It looks like built in the 1960's but that is not really relevant unless you care about the look more than the service provided at this Hotel. Rooms are spacious and well kept and obviously renovated.

The pool is located indoors. The pool is available for hotel guests to use free of charge. If you are not a hotel guest, you must have a spa/pool membership. We were just there in May, 2018 and this is how it worked.
