We choose this hotel because of its excellent location. The hotel is large and a little dated - the decor could do with a bit of an update, as could some of the bedroom furniture (if not for that I would have given it 5...More
Yes, my back hurts from bowing to all the workers and staff at Okura Hotel. I would say about 99% of staff bowed when you get out of the elevator and when walking. To show respect I do the same...that is why my back hurts....More
A short business trip to Tokyo in a classic, delightful, restful hotel. Terrific service; great room with lots of natural light. Great bar upstairs and also restaurant and bar on the main floor. The health club is well appointed with a swimming pool and sauna...More
We spent 5-nights at this hotel on our recent trip to Tokyo. The staff was very cordial and proper. The hotel is fairly close to the MetroSubway (Tonomon) or Kimatchu metro stop (??? spelling). Easy metro to navigate the transfers. The hotel is also close...More
I stayed for 8 nights on a recent trip and I was very well-looked after. Courteous and well-trained staff all round. Best concierge service and the most superb housekeeping I have ever seen. Special mention to manager Mr Kenji Marukawa who enabled my early check...More

Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much
older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.

The new Hotel Okura will open in 2019! It looks like built in the 1960's but that is not really relevant unless you care about the look more than the service provided at this Hotel. Rooms are spacious and well kept and obviously renovated.

The pool is located indoors. The pool is available for hotel guests to use free of charge. If you are not a hotel guest, you must have a spa/pool membership. We were just there in May, 2018 and this is how it worked.
