Detailed Reviews
This visit was booked at short notice for me and my son so we needed a twin room, which seemed difficult to find on search sites but this was booked on the in-house ALL app and a twin room seemed affordable. We arrived in Tokyo by Shinkansen, so it’s location just 10 mins walk appealed. Even better, the local subway station has direct express trains to both Narita and Hanada airport. And it was central to the sights we wanted to visit. It’s in a quiet side street in a residential area, in a western city that might feel a bit creepy but not in Japan. Being mostly residential, there are plenty of convenience stores but no fast food outlets nearby.
The check in was quick and we were soon in our Japanese Tatami twin. A nice compromise between a Japanese ryokan and a international style room. The room was very small, noticeably smaller than our compact room in the Ibis in Kyoto. Just enough room for one person to move around at a time, no wardrobe and limited storage, but we were travelling light. But there were so many large cases in reception, I’d wondered how those guest had managed. There is a small fridge and kettle, with a couple of interesting coffee bags. Pyjamas and sliders provided too. On the 9th floor, the view was too bad either and there is a low table and 2 chair by the window to enjoy it whilst planning and having a drink.
The Japanese bath on the roof was a fabulous facility, after a long day, if you aren’t shy! I used it everyday but my son wasn’t keen. Up there is laundry and vending facilities, a roof terrace, a nice place to cool off after the hot bath. Ice cream sweets a nice touch.
We were late back the 1st evening (after a trip to teamLab Planets) so struggled to find a local restaurant that was still open after 8pm, but had a nice but expensive meal at Brozers American style diner a few blocks away. The rest of the stay we stopped for lunch whilst out and bought food to eat back at the hotel from a combini. Others seemed to have the same idea, eating either in the closed restaurant area, on the roof terrace or in there room. There is a microwave to reheat your combini dish.
All in all, a very pleasant stay, and reasonable value for a well located hotel in major city.

We have just stayed two nights there while visiting friends in the area,
We had a comfortable room on the 10th floor, the hot baths were on the 11th so very handy, we used them a lot.
Check in and check out was very easy.
They have a good breakfast, there is also hot chocolate, tea, coffee freely available in the foyer 24 hours a day .
After bathing you can take free icypoles from the fridge outside the bathing rooms.
These little items are very much appreciated.
There is a laundry facility there to use , very handy .
Close to stations, when we were leaving they booked us a taxi and a staff member came out to wave us goodbye, very good customer service.

We had 3 separate rooms booked here for a family holiday (6 adults & 2 children). The rooms are slightly smaller than usual however I believe this is standard in Japan. The hotel staff were lovely and very helpful. The location was great with plenty to do within walking distance as well as the trains and subways being less than a 5-minute walk from the hotel.
Facilities at the hotel were good and the breakfast was lovely and reasonably priced.

Ibis Styles Tokyo East fell short of expectations. The staff appeared rushed and inattentive, detracting from the welcoming atmosphere. Check-in lacked smoothness, and the overall ambiance felt unfriendly. Despite booking a 21SQM room, it felt cramped, especially with the disproportionately small shower space – reaching the toilet ceiling when stretching is definitely an issue. Unfortunately, the property lacks standout features, leaving much to be desired for a memorable stay.

Average hotel, not bad, not great. Staff don’t speak very good English, be aware. But they are helpful.
Hotel rooms are small, bed is hard, but at least the bathroom has a bathtub. Room was clean.
Breakfast is repetitive, not many changes since we stayed for 5 nights. Last day we were bored and decided not to have it. They misspell names of breakfast items such as “cereal”, they spelled “sereal”. Best item in breakfast are the croissants. Worst item is the sausages, they taste like oil just changed of a car with high mileage.
They don’t do upgrades even though it seemed rooms were available. That is an issue with Accor status, I never got an upgrade with them so far. And in Hilton I got many, more than 70% of my stays had an upgrade.
Overall decent but I won’t be coming back.

It is a hotel that I booked because it is in the Accor group and the price is reasonable. Along with an onsen Looking at maps, it's a short walk from the subway. But actually coming to stay, I will say that finding food around here is quite difficult. I recommend eating it before returning to the hotel. Or you may have to walk a little far to eat. In addition, it is an area that is a source of work. It's not much of a shopping center.
I stayed in a Superior Double with Japanese Tatami room size of 18 square meters. The room is not considered small. Compared to hotels in Tokyo, the beds are soft and comfortable and there are a lot of power plugs to plug in. There is an area to put bags. There is a Japanese style table for eating. Most importantly, there is a foot massager, which is very comfortable. There is also a hair curler, and pajamas are provided in the room. Shoes for walking to the onsen The bathroom has a sink. automatic toilet flushing I think it's okay compared to this kind of price.
Outside, there are indoor and outdoor onsens. Especially in the cold weather, it's very satisfying to soak in. There is free ice cream to eat after soaking in the onsen. There is a water dispenser and washing machine. There are seats on the upper floor for viewing the city view. (But it's so cold I can't sit down)
In the lobby zone, you can leave your bags. In the breakfast zone, you can sit and drink coffee and soft drinks for free. If you have the opportunity to not be serious about shopping and food. You can come stay here. It is considered convenient and the price is reasonable.

I spent ages looking at hotels in Tokyo and eventually landed on this one as I was at a conference and didn't think I'd need the room so much. Booked a slightly bigger room with tatami mats - they were great! - and a bit more space with the table and chairs. It was big enough for a couple of cases and was comfortable. It's not a very big room, and the bathroom is basic, but it was big enough for Tokyo and by far the best bit is the location! It's 5 min walk to two different metro lines, 10-15 min walk to Tokyo station, and probably the same to centre of Ginza for shopping and restaurants. Is this a flashy hotel, no it isn't, but it does the job very well and it's a great area and location. It's also extremely quiet(!) at night and you barely hear a car. Overall a good balance of value and cost. Staff are friendly as well. Didn't do the breakfast as preferred to try and source locally and try places instead. I stayed in Tokyo for a week and it did the job perfectly for me. Sure you can spend more, but if you're not going to be in the room that much it's a very good option.
Overall summary: I'd recommend this hotel based on what I needed as a traveller for this trip and within a given budget. You can clearly spend as much as you want in Tokyo but this was good middle ground.
Arrival tip: if arriving to Tokyo Station and walking to the hotel it's best to exit on the Tokyo Yeasu Midtown side otherwise you'll have to walk all the way round the station which is obviously big. I made this mistake after a long flight and under the pressure of being in a very busy station. Best thing to do is get off the train, get your bearings near an exit map and find the right exit point. You can also get a cab from that exit if you like, or using uber easily, and the fare with the latter to IBIS is about 5-6 GBP.

I stayed at the Ibis in Ginza and found it to be a convenient and quiet location, though it’s a short walk from the main Ginza area. The rooms were Japanese tatami style. We had two separate rooms—one with two beds and another with a king bed—but no connecting rooms were available. The rooms were clean and comfortable, making for a pleasant stay overall.

While the hotel listed itself as Ginza East, do take note it is not the closest to the heart of Ginza which is a good 15 mins walk to Mitsukoshi. That said , the hotel is still within 15 mins walk to 3 other subway station depending which line you want.
During check in, I was a little surprised when I asked which subway is the closest, one of the staff actually need to google for it. The room is Japanese standard is comfortable enough and what I don’t like is the walkway to bathroom which is narrow, for anyone with a medium size luggage you probably have no space to open up.
There are no bottled water provided in the room and has to go up to 11th floor to fill up . For those who wanted to visit the old Tsukiji market, this is also 20 mins walk.
What to me was disappointing is that when you google for Ibis Styles Ginza East, it will not show this at all and lead you to the other Ibis Styles Ginza which is right the the heart of Ginza .

The hotel is neither far nor close from the train station, but the location is quite nice and easy to be find as long as you have Google Maps. The room is small but so does most of hotels in Japan. The facitily is good such as a foot massaging maching, onsen on the 11th floor, and so on.
