The first thing I noticed is, the hotel reception is on the 2nd floor. And the ground floor is counted as 1st floor.
The location of the hotel is great, In the middle of Ginza area, just on the side street. If you are into shopping, its right location too.

Check in was through a machine in front of the reception desk, and the staff was very helpful if you need.
Check out is at 11 am.
On the reception floor there is a corner where you can get daily amenities from hair mask to face lotion or hair band. There is also a pajama available in the room if you want to use.

Room was very smaller than my expectation. It was hard to move even as a one person. It was clean but i have seen some hair on the bathroom floor and on the desk unfortunately. The rest was ok.
There was a machine in the room to check the air quality. Also kettle is available in the room. You can get coffee from the reception amenities corner to make it in the room.

Daily cleaning of the room is upon request. You attach the sign on the door if you need towels only or whole room cleaning.
Breakfast available if you pay. I cannot say it was very rich buffet. Can be improved.

The best part of the hotel is its location and there is a convenient store downstairs, which is 24 hours open. there is an entry via hotel to the store. Its great.

The location is absolutely great. It is in the middle of Ginza, walking distance to hundreds of shops, restaurants, theaters, karaoke, and many other things, 4 minutes from metro stations. Enjoyed it very much!! The hotel itself is very nicely decorated, sparklingly clean, the service people are courteous and always ready to help. Rooms are small. Only one person can walk on one side of the bed (the other side is against the wall). Bed was comfortable and TV was nice. The temperature control was perfect and the bathrooms were immaculate. Enjoyed my stay very much!! Thanks Fresa Inn!

The hotel was very well located in the Ginza neighborhood within short walking distance of the Ginza Metro Station. We went with our 2 college-aged kids and they loved it too. We had a very comfortable and clean room and really enjoyed the one-week stay. The TV was all in Japanese so we missed watching daily news in English, but it was very nice otherwise. Lots of beauty amenities (face masks, cremes, little beauty samples) and coffee and green tea in the room. We also liked the convenience of a Family Mart store right nearby.

Pillows provided in room is very soft and thin. Small room size is a norm in Tokyo. Nothing impressive except for the location which is right inside the shopping belt. Easy access to train stations and Fish market.

As a family of 4 (2 teenagers) we decided to stay in Ginza and are really pleased we did. The hotel is very conveniently located for all services such as metro, shopping (including family mart and 7eleven) as well as a great selection of restaurants. The rooms were very small so travelling with large suitcases could be difficult. Breakfast was excellent and did vary a little each day. Loved the additional items you could pick up in the lobby including bath salts, hairbrush, toothbrush, face masks etc. There were also hair straighteners available! The best asset of this hotel are the staff. They are very friendly, helpful and their excellent English helped add a personal touch that google translate couldn’t provide. They helped with forwarding of luggage, arranging taxis and even came out with us when we left to wave us off. Amazing service.

A very nice Tokyo hotel - micro rooms as expected. Clean and comfortable. Lots of extras available to pick up in reception including incredible bath salts which were great to soothe the aching limbs. Also nice PJs.
Well situated for Ginza and Shinbashi. Family Mart next door which is very convenient.
Only slight moan is there is a sister hotel with the same name a few streets away which causes confusion (we obviously weren't the first given they have a pre-prepared map!).

High value at this hotel. Great service, clean and inexpensive for what you get. Our Superior Twin room was clean and sufficient for 2. The front desk employees were so friendly and helpful. The location can’t be beat. You can catch the subway nearby at Ginza Six. Our room was quiet.

The location, near Mitsukoshi Department Store, Kabukiza, Tsukigi Fish Market, the metro, and every high end boutique you could think of is superb. This hotel was inaugurated in 2016 so it is clean and and still spanking new. Yes, the single room I had was very small but it was efficiently designed with good lighting, a comfortable bed, an electric kettle and a small refrigerator which I appreciated for keeping stocked with yogurt and milk. The modern bathroom with the wonderful Japanese toilet was a marvel with its attached "shower" and bidet. The bathtub was deep and had a shower that functioned properly. Toiletry amenities were high quality (Shisheido liquid soap) and replenished every day. I opted out of paying for the breakfast in the hope that I could provide myself with a healthier option by picking up groceries at the Family Mart on the first floor of the building. The better to save calories for the wonderful food offerings at the nearby Tsukiji Fish Market. So, what is the hitch? The reception staff is very nice, as are most Japanese you will meet, but not all of them have an adequate mastery of English to help you if your grasp of Japanese is inadequate too. When a friend called me he was told that I had cancelled. When I took this up with the reception desk there was confusion all around and one of the receptionists told me I could not get a refund even though I had not asked for one and could not fathom why the business of a refund even entered the conversation. In all fairness, it would be rare in the United States for a non-English-speaking Japanese to be accommodated in his language. The television had no English channel although an explanation of membership in the hotel's Fresa Club could be had in English on the television screen. I was fine with no television in English, I still enjoyed watching some cultural shows but this might be a problem for others. When I tried to confirm the metro route to the National Art Center, a very friendly and eager to help receptionist managed to give me the wrong information (written down).
Perhaps, in time, more of the staff will be able to deal better with Anglophones. An English daily newspaper with a NY Times supplement is provided for reading in the lobby. Also in the lobby, there is self-service coffee along with teas, more toiletries to pick up if one wished, and when I was there, a present of boxed note paper. Another thing that might be important for a potential guest is that the hotel does not book tours or make reservations for guests. Perhaps this will change. Would I stay here again? The answer from me is a definite YES. I am a fairly independent traveler, I had done my homework as to how to get from Narita to Ginza with the 1,000 yen limo bus and had a fairly good idea how I was going to get to the hotel from where I would be dropped off. I had booked my tours to Nikko and Mt. Fuji before I left home. I had the addresses and googled the maps of stores I wanted to visit, etc. Even with getting locked out of my Yahoo account when I was in Tokyo I managed very well, so you can do it too. In spite of its limitations I consider this hotel a good value for its location and the quality of its accommodations.

Whenever I end up trying a different budget hotel in Tokyo I'm usually worried if I'll like it or not - mainly because the budget hotels in many cities, like NYC or London are just pits unfit for human occupancy.

But I am continually surprised at how cheaply one can secure a nice room in the biggest metropolitan center in the world - and in some of their best locations. The Sotetsu Fresa Inn Ginza-Nanachome is one of those hotels.

I decided to stay here because the price was good and the location stellar - less than one block from my favorite coffee spot: Cafe de L'Ambre, and the in the heart of Ginza.

It's a pretty new hotel and while you enter at the street level, the lobby, front desk and restaurants are on the 2nd floor. The 1st floor has entrances on both sides of the building as well as a Family Mart that's open all night. Check-in was easy and the staff is friendly, courteous and some are even English speaking. I found out that they offer coin laundry machines - after I had laundry sent out that cost US$22! Oh well.

The rooms are small compared to western rooms but normal for a budget hotel in Tokyo. They are clean, well-kept and comfortable. I didn't have any trouble sleeping - and the shades allow you to keep the room dark for extended sleeping in the morning. The only challenge is that the rooms are small enough that you need to be conscious of your belongings. If you start throwing everything everywhere, you will run out of room quick. It requires discipline on your part to put your clothes and belongings away - if you want to maintain some semblance of harmony.

What I'm looking for in a Tokyo hotel while solo traveling is a clean, safe place to rest. This place has that in spades. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel and facilities are pretty new and everything is great.

The only thing that I found irritating was that if I was arriving to the hotel, I would use my keycard to activate the elevator and hit the button to go to my floor so I could get some sleep. I'm guessing the elevators are programmed to stop on the second floor - because every darned time, the elevator would stop at the second floor. That is the most irritating thing when you've been out all day and just want to get back to your room to rest.

But if the price is right, I would stay here again without hesitation.

I booked a long stay (10days). On my arrival they couldn't charge any of my 3 credit cards and there was no other way for paying than cash. So I had to go and change some money. They wouldn't allow me to the room not even to freshen up before going to the money exchange counter. Anyway that was not nice but it has nothing to do with my rating or not everything to do with my rating anyway. By the way, my credit cards worked fine in any other places. They should allow for the possibility to pay with a money transfer or something similar considering that if I hadn't had cash on me I would have been forced to find a hotel room at the last minute.

So this is my review:
LOCATION: it is right in the center of Ginza, which I don't like since it is pretty much like new york's fifth avenue, but if you are in Tokyo for expensive shopping that is your place

ROOM: claustrophobic to say the least. There was not even enough room for me to open the suitcase and unpack. I had to use the bed.

The view from the room was dull: the wall of another hotel. They should at least think of some discounts for people that are assigned that kind of rooms.

The bathroom gave out a weird smell. I had to fill the bathtub with water and pour soap in it to make it smell nice.
You can't leave the air conditioning on since when you go out you bring the keycard with you and then everything switches off. You can't ask for another keycard UNLESS YOU PAY 2000yen which by the way you have to pay if you lose the keycard. I found out only too late that if you put any other cards inside the holder it works.
They give you big bottles of shampoo and showerjel. I don't like those and to me they are unsanitary. They do that in the name of "saving nature" but I always think it is to cut costs since they cost much less than the small samples. Besides if you give the small samples people would be using less soap instead of lots of soap.

WIFI: it is complimentary and it works...most of the times.

Oh one more thing that pissed me off: if you accept to use the "green card" and not change the bedsheets you will be awarded with a bottle of water!!! seriously? All hotels I have been in Japan gave you a bottle of water and complimentary coffee and tea in the room. To me that sounded just like another way to mask cost cuttings as a green-thing. In all hotels I was I played the green card, except in this one! never!

How to get here from Haneda airport?
1:There is the instruction how to use coin laundry(English, chinese and Korean) nearby laundry room. 2: It is easy enough to operate because of most of our Guests are using every time, I guess. 3: It is not necessary to stay there until finishing laundry machine. you can leave there and come back later. 4: It depends on how much you wash and dry it. usually, washing about 20 minutes and drying about 30 minutes. *Many guests want to use it at the night. It would better to avoid to use in the morning or noon, I guess. There aren't so many laundry and dry machines in there. Best Regards Front Desk KIDO

hello, Not 100% sure but there should not be, because I needed an adaptor for my phone charging, and requested from the reception. I connected my phone to adaptor with usb. There was not any usb point in the room if i remember correctly. Otherwise I would not ask for adaptor I guess.. Maybe TV had but i did not check.
