Reviews summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.

Hotel Metropolitan Tokyo Marunouchi is widely celebrated for its prime location near Tokyo Station, offering exceptional convenience and access to local attractions, which guests often appreciate. The inviting atmosphere, highlighted by a charming lobby complete with a model railway, complements the clean, modern rooms that boast impressive views. However, some guests have called out the rooms for being on the smaller side and occasionally dated. While the service receives high marks for being professional and friendly, some travelers have experienced check-in delays.
The hotel's cleanliness is a common point of praise, despite minor mentions of dated hardware. Travelers note the hotel provides fair value, but opinions vary regarding the cost of breakfast and specific room rates. Amenities are well-received, though the lack of a pool or upscale gym has been noted.

Detailed Reviews
I used my Chase rewards app to book this hotel based on the proximity it was to Tokyo station since I had to take a Shinkansen up to Iiyama. Based on the reviews I made a booking and boy am I glad I did.
You can't beat the location, it's literally right next door to Tokyo station North entrance. In fact the hotel practically connects to the station so you don't even have to get wet if it's raining. You are also on the closest side to the station as the Ramen Alley and a Starbucks so really, it was very convenient. Many things were within walking distance and of course via subway since the station is downstairs.
We also dined at the restaurant: Dining & Bar TENQOO for the breakfast buffet. I love Japanese breakfast buffets because you don't really see anything like that back in the states. You get a mixture of both the Japanese traditional breakfast but they also include western offerings for foreigners.
Lastly, I just want to throw in that they have a coin operated laundry room that you can do your overnight laundry at and a treadmill that was available for those short quick workouts. My wife and I would be more than happy to stay here again.

Stayed here for one night on my way back to UK after business trip. Have stayed here a few times before and the service never disappoints. The hotel is directly next to Tokyo Station so a fantastic location and easy to find. Rooms are smaller given the premium on space experienced in Tokyo, but nonetheless very comfortable and I had an excellent night's sleep. Had dinner in Tenqoo - good menu selection at a reasonable price and also a good range of wine (plus, beer, spirits, sake, shoshu, etc.). On previous visits I have tried the breakfast buffet which offers a good selection of Western and Japanese food but didn't try it this time round as I had to get to the airport super-early! You can arrange with reception for a taxi to collect you in the morning - they book this for you and then on the day will escort you down to the basement to meet the driver. Outstanding service as always and will use this hotel again on future trips.

We stayed at the Marunouchi in June 2019 and we would choose to stay there again. The hotel is located immediately outside of the JR Tokyo Station entrance/exit in the Sapia Tower. Even though the lobby starts at the 27th floor, the elevator speed was not an issue. The rooms seem to be larger than the Metropolitan Ikebukuro location, and their staff was much nicer and more helpful with exceptional service. The lobby is beautiful and has a miniature train set as the focal point.

Had a lovely stay. I booked the superior queen room with view. Room is small as per Japanese standard. We travel with only a carry on luggage and a backpack. So it works for us. Bed is pushed to a corner but we get 2 chairs a small table, coffee tea with cups/glasses/kettle, a big tv with fridge with counter top, safe, closet, some drawers, a humidifier, brush/toothbrush/hairdryer and even sleepwear for two.
There's a coin laundry/dryer machine too so if you travel light like us, it's great amenity.
Hotel is located centrally, easy to quickly get to the station and access lots of good food and both shinkansen and local trains. Ramen street and Character street is in basement of Tokyo Station.
Hotel staff are excellent, very friendly and housekeeping keeps the room clean daily.
I would definitely stay here again in future.

We stayed here on two separate occasions during our 2 week trip in Japan this past March. For our first time in Japan, this hotel gave a perfect first impression of Tokyo.
What an amazing hotel experience. The convenience alone should be enough to convince everyone to stay here.
The hotel is in Sapia Tower (lobby at 27F). It's literally right beside Tokyo Station, steps from the Nihombashi Exit, so right away you're connected to one of the major transportation hubs in Tokyo (especially the Shinkansen). There's a small automated Family Mart on the first floor, so if you need a quick bite to eat, you don't have to go too far (but even then, Tokyo Station next door has a lot of food options). They only have one coin laundry on site but believe it or not, a lot of hotels in Japan don't have such laundry facilities on site. This was a huge bonus even if it's only 1.
The rooms we had were on the 28F and was high enough to give spectacular views of the Tokyo skyline, especially at night. We had a Deluxe Twin room our first 3 nights in Tokyo and a Train View Twin Room for the last 3 nights of our trip. Both have two twin beds and a huge window that spans the entire room. The Train View room offered better views as you can watch the trains come and go from Tokyo Station below. The Deluxe Twin was a bit more roomier and is easier to open big luggages in.
Facilities are immaculately clean. Water bottles provided every day and staff is very professional, polite and can also speak English. They held our luggages before check-in and also when we left for Osaka but returned on a later date. Breakfast at Tenqoo was great. Typical western fare but the Japanese style offerings were great (I loved the tofu covered rice balls in the morning).
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of visiting Tokyo. They help made our first trip to Japan very memorable.

International hotel sized rooms so you can open your large luggage and leave open in the room (unlike in most Japanese hotels). High standards as owned by JR, the Japanese railway company. Using google maps be sure to input the hotel name as the address given (at least by Orbitz) took me somewhere else. Has fun model train in upstairs lobby.
If coming from Tokyo station, follow exit to Nihombashi Side (as shown in photo). Once you exit you'll be around 20m from the building entrance of hotel, whose lobby is on L27 or something.

We stayed one night here at this hotel. It's so conveniently located, 2 mins walk from Tokyo station and 1 min walk to Otemachi metro station. In the room, they have amazing in-room amenities with everything so thoughtfully laid out. They even provide PJs in the room which we happily worn it as we didn't want to remove anything from our luggage. For ladies I loved that they have a vanity table mirror where we are able to do skincare and makeup. Morning breakfast is decent and nice. One thing to note, even tho that they say that water is complimentary, you only get 2 in your room. Anything additional, it's chargeable. So if you want to stay hydrated, definitely go get more water from the convenience stores downstairs (2 min walk).

Great hotel in a top location. Our room was on the 32nd floor, great views. Small, and the bed was pushed right against the wall on one side, but comfortable. Breakfast was very good - eggs, toast, cereal plus a separate Japanese buffet. Concierge was very helpful in booking us into a restaurant (we couldn’t navigate the online booking system as it was in Japanese, which we didn’t understand. Would definitely stay here again.

The location is really convenient because it is only 5 seconds walking distance from “Nihonbashi Exit” and relatively near the Shinkansen station heading to Hokkaido. I would suggest travellers go to the direction of “Yaesu North Exit”. Then, there is a sign of “Nihonbashi Exit” could be found. The room was clean and tidy. I am grant I stayed in King Corner room instead of no view room, which makes me feel claustrophobic without 2 large windows. There is one of the highest rated reman restaurant 六厘舎 on Tabelog, which on B1 Floor in MARUNOUCHI, with 10 minutes walking distance from “Nihonbashi Exit”.

My wife and I stayed 6 nights in a Superior Queen room (20 sqm) in mid October. This is an excellent hotel in many ways. The location in Tokyo Station yields convenience for the local and regional trains, and the bullet trains. Tokyo Station has dozens of restaurants, small places to get desserts and pastries, and retail – especially clothing (but is the size of a small city!). The excellent breakfast had a Japanese food section, and a western food section. The breakfast staff and front desk were very friendly and efficient. Upon arrival my wife did not feel well. One of the breakfast staff checked on her every morning. The hotel has a convenient and inexpensive laundry area with 3 machines that are both washer and dryer. The only (slight) negative was the small room size.

Yes, we are solid non smokers and are irritated by smoke.
Sorry, I didn't join therefore no idea.
Sorry I didn't see this sooner! Yes, I'm pretty sure you can have your luggage forwarded from ANY hotel to another throughout Japan: we did it to/from 5 different cities!
