There are no words to describe what a positive experience I had at the Hotel Metropolitan, Marunouchi!!!!! This is a bit long but the only way to truly appreciate my experience :). My husband and I took a cruise from Seattle to Tokyo. He sustained an injury in the gym 3 days before we ported (thought he had pulled a muscle). The day before we ported, I determined he needed to be seen by a MD once we arrived in Tokyo as he was in horrid pain (I'm an ER doc). I discovered Japan doesn't have ERs as we think of them and he would need to get an appointment at the hospital to assure he would be seen. In Japanese hospitals, if they are "busy" when you present, and your story doesn't line up with an emergent situation, you will be turned away (the medical care provided in Japan was stellar!!!). Knowing all this, we got directly off the ship when they ported and headed for Hotel Metropolitan. Upon our arrival there, I explained to my angel for the next month (Asami Ueda), that I needed help arranging an appointment for my husband (I was afraid we'd be turned away with the "pulled muscle" story) and that it was critical we be appointed somewhere that we had an English speaking provider and the ability to obtain a chest x-ray. Ms. Ueda spent 55 minutes calling aroung Tokyo to find an appointment for us. My husband obtained an appointment at the hospital and within a few hours was admitted to the ICU (NTT Medical Center, International - I highly recommend this hospital if you find yourself in need while on Tokyo). I was in Tokyo 4 weeks (I can't wait to go back and actually visit as the city is beautiful and the people delightful!!!). Although the Metropolitan's website didn't show a contigous block of available days for my month there (I was guessing as to how long I would be there given the circumstances and reserving 1-2 week blocks at a time), hotel staff assured me they would accomodate me given the circumstances until my husband was saff to travel. Everytime I entered the hotel's lobby, the staff communicated with me. Everyone was extremely accommodating!!! Other than being assured I would have lodging as long as I needed and the delightful staff in general, the most significant part of my visit at the Metropolitan was having the luck to meet Ms. Ueda the day I arrived. She played a HUGE part in my deciding to stay at the Metropolitan!!!!! She was a, literal, lifesaver the day we arrived in assisting us in obtaining access to the Japanese health care system!!!!!! When ever she was working and saw me come into the lobby, she made a bee line for me to see if there was anything I needed help with (and there were plenty of times I did need help) and to inquire about how things were going with my husband. Ms. Ueda is quite proficient with English (not many in Japan are; thank goodness for Goggle translater :) ) and her assistance with directions, nearby services, etc. was ivaluable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Asami, you'll never truly understand how geatful I am for your shoulder to lean on while I was visiting your delightful hotel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A bit about the hotel itself... The location is killer!!!!! It is next door to the Tokyo Station. The station is the largest in Tokyo and makes other areas of Japan quite accessible. There are at least 70 restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. Tokyo station is a food/shopping mecca. About 4-6 blocks from the hotel there is a variety of restaurants that feature foods from around the world. There is a huge department store, Daimaru, in the station that, to me, appears to have a variety of vendors opperating under the Daimaru name. Between buying groceries at the grocery store in Daimaru and the variety of restaurants nearby I was able to purchase everything I needed for the month within in a short walk. My husband and I are looking forwrd to a return trip to Tokyo for a real vacation and will definitely stay at the Metropolitan.

Good - great, if a little confusing, location next to Tokyo Station. The hotel is actually the top few floors of what I think is an office building. You take a lift up 27 floors to the delightful lobby (featuring a model railway set - always a win). Then you take another lift up to your hotel room floor. All fine really. Comfy bed and officially the best pillows of the five hotels I stayed at in Japan. Could be better - being picky, but the shower could have been an overhead one.

Family of 3A (including a 12 yr old) and 3 kids (aged 6, 8 and 10). Got two rooms for 5nights. Rooms are very compact (if our kids are older/bigger-sized, it’d have been a real challenge for us to fit in the beds.) Rooms are very clean and toiletries (toothbrush, facial cleansers, combs, etc) are provided. I didn’t find a safe in one of the rooms, so we had to use the safe in the other room instead. Hotel location is really convenient to the train station, convenience stores. All the rooms are located on high floors (level 27 onwards). There’s a coin operated laundromat on level 27. Hotel staff that we came across/ interacted with are very friendly too. The standout for me was the view.. takes my breath away every morning when I draw the curtains.

Conveniently located next to Tokyo station (right in front of one of its north exits), it was an oasis of peace amongst the burstling city. Attention was great, and the king-sized corner room amazing!

“ Perfect in every way” is the best way to describe this hotel centrally located next door to Tokyo Station! With train and subway access to all parts of the city and beyond the hotel is convenient , yet peaceful and quiet perched high above the hustle and bustle. It is a lovely modern space with comfortable rooms and breathtaking views. The restaurant is truly a gem with impeccable service and presentation and an outstanding chef created menu. Add to all this a large and extremely attentive and professional front desk staff and you have a first class hotel with affordable prices, would love to visit again!

Prime reason for staying at this hotel at the end of our Japan trip was that it was conveniently located next to the Tokyo Train Station. This is a good jumping off point to the Metro or Narita Express trains. The rooms are clean but not that spacious. There could be more countertop and storage area in the room. No breakfast included. The hallway to our room was not well lit. There was a great toy model train layout in the reception area.

We stayed one night here at this hotel. It's so conveniently located, 2 mins walk from Tokyo station and 1 min walk to Otemachi metro station. In the room, they have amazing in-room amenities with everything so thoughtfully laid out. They even provide PJs in the room which we happily worn it as we didn't want to remove anything from our luggage. For ladies I loved that they have a vanity table mirror where we are able to do skincare and makeup. Morning breakfast is decent and nice. One thing to note, even tho that they say that water is complimentary, you only get 2 in your room. Anything additional, it's chargeable. So if you want to stay hydrated, definitely go get more water from the convenience stores downstairs (2 min walk).

Lovely hotel. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Located right next to Tokyo station. Breakfast buffet was grand with fantastic views. I do recommend making dinner reservations for Friday night at any restaurant as we were turned away from at least 5 places nearby as they were full. Also, area is very business oriented and not tourist oriented.

The Metropolitan ticked all the boxes I look for. It was just next to the Tokyo main railway station making it so very convenient to take the bullet trains to Kyoto or elsewhere as well as the metro. The hotel is situated in an office area with plenty of restaurants nearby as well as a huge choice of restaurants within the station. The easy availability of taxis at the station was another plus. As far as the hotel itself, the rooms are modern, well appointed, and convenient with great views, though a tad small when compared to American standards. The staff are super polite and helpful with every request complied with a smile. That really was the best part of staying here. There is a Starbucks on the second floor of the same building where we could get our morning cuppa. We really could find nothing to complain about this hotel - if we are ever back in Tokyo, this is definitely the place we'll be staying at.
