Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Oldish and room is so small that I had figure out the best spot to place my suitcase. But room is clean and overall not too bad. Breakfast is good. Location is superb, just across the street from the Tokyo Station (also connected underground to the Tokyo Station).

Hotel's Favourite
1. LOCATION for convenience We were here during the days leading up to Christmas. The location became even more awesome because of so many reasons: - basement link from Tokyo Station through Marunouchi OAZO mall protects you from the winter cold outside. Or from the station's main exit, you could just cross one road and walk 50 metres to reach the hotel, it's really that near. - also from that basement link, it leads you to enjoy the famous Tokyo Character Street within the First Avenue Mall connected to the Tokyo Station. - Not forgetting to mention, Tokyo Station's 109-year-old Edwardian brick building is totally an attraction on its own. - For us, we planned to take the Shinkansen to enjoy some snow-mountain skiing in another prefecture so it is PERFECT for us to stay near the Tokyo Station which has both intra-city subway and inter-city Shinkansen! - Marunouchi OAZO, the mall joint to the hotel, contains Maruzen, an awesome 4-storey bookstore. - Marunouchi Illuminations is up at Nijubashi Square/ Marunouchi Naka Street, where you can enjoy a romantic walk underneath the whole street of gorgeous Christmas lightings on maple trees and drink some red mulled wine by the street. - Japan's famous Christmas Market (by the German embassy) is about fifteen minutes' walk away, about the end of the Marunouchi Illuminations. - The historically-rich Tokyo Imperial Palace built since the Edo era and its beautiful palace gardens is just a few minutes' walk away. 2. THOUGHTFULNESS for families - Amenities for children, such as bedroom slippers, toothbrush and bath sponge available. - Without our request, the hotel actually helped us to move the bed towards the wall, so that a young child can sleep on the inside without falling out. We only realized that they did it just for us because of the deep bed marks on the carpet, meaning they just moved it. 3. You would like OR might not like it if: - Corner room is best for you if you're a train aficionado, because you could see the trains running literally right below your window. But if you might be sensitive to the sound of trains zooming in and out of the station every few minutes, you might want to avoid the corner rooms or the rooms facing the train tracks. - You like the juxtaposition of old against new, which was what we enjoyed, the 109-year-old Tokyo Station against the backdrop of ultra modern Tokyo's office skyline. Office buildings are close enough that you can see people working on their laptops and there was a strong glare from other buildings' reflection. However, they had pretty good blinds and blackout curtains to counter both.

Excellent location right at tokyo station. A little pricey but still the least expensive of all the closest hotels at the station. There are lots of places to walk to with a few convenient stores a few min walk away. You have to take the elevator to get to the lobby area to check in. You then take another elevator to the rooms. Check out is at 12 pm which is pretty late for a hotel so you can definitely relax here before you need to head off to the airport. Some of the staff speaks english and they were very friendly. Would recommend staying here if you are looking for a place right at the station. A little expensive (we paid a little over $300 a night) but very convenient.

If your want to be close to Tokyo JR Station, then the hotel is an EXCELLENT Choice - either directly across from the Hotel or via the hotel basement access. We selected a "Double Deluxe" room which was spacious - plenty of room for suitcases - and well appointed. The staff are very friendly and willing to help. The adjacent "Oazo" Centre has a great range of dining options - B1; 5F; 6F. The Imperial Gardens are a short walk - if you are planning a visit, then week days are recommended. This will be our preferred hotel when we next vacation in Tokyo

A great hotel made very special by the fabulous Saido Sato who manages the hotel with the highest level of service. Recently my blouse was torn in luggage and he personally mended it and organised dry cleaning. He leads a great team with helpful charm. The hotel is well located and has great rooms and restaurants. Highly recommended.

Amazing location in an upscale neighborhood which is perhaps more crucial when weather is not so good and time is limited. Nice city view and huge windows. Good quality bed and pillows. Bathroom is cramped, and I did not like the shower and bath combination, but toiletry supplies were extensive and acceptable. We booked a superior double room for an overnight stay on our way to Kanazawa via Shinkansen. Somehow I regret cancelling small double room I booked earlier for our return stay to Tokyo.

My husband and I stayed at the Marunouchi hotel for 4 nights and were sorry we had to leave! We have previously lived in Japan and have also stayed in numerous hotels in Tokyo. The Marunouchi is our new favourite. The location is amazing, being so conveniently located at Tokyo station, providing easy access to all of Tokyo and regional areas. The Tokyo station area also has great shops and restaurants within walking distance and undercover if the weather is bad. You can also easily walk to Yurakucho and Ginza districts. Our room was a generous size(35m2), very well presented and comfortable. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. We will definitely stay there again if we can book room! It seems to be so popular it’s booked up well in advance.

We ended up staying here after booking a last-minute one-night stay in a deluxe room. It was brilliant. The location is incredible. The staff are so welcoming. The rooms are quite large for a Tokyo hotel - and really well-equipped. This is a top choice for anyone wanting to stay near Tokyo Station.

The hotel is really great, how room was surprisingly big for this price bracket and we had a huge window overlooking Tokyo station which allowed constant entertainment watching the training coming and going. The hotel connects directly to the underground concourse with the main staton making access to Shinkansen, metro, subway, airport lines an absolute breeze. The bed was large and comfortable and the bathroom well stocked with amenities.
