Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Our first trip to Tokyo, and so thankful we chose the Palace as our first stop. Stayed 3 nights and I can say without exaggeration, that every single aspect of our stay was perfect. The service was probably the best we have ever received in all our years of travel. Every person we interacted with was amazing. The room was perfect. Good size, great view, spotlessly clean, and well appointed with everything you would expect in a 5 star hotel. For comparison, we spent our last night in Tokyo at the Four Seasons Marunouchi just a few blocks from the Palace, and while that property is also excellent, the Palace was superior in every way (also a much better value in my opinion). Thank you to everyone at the Palace who made our stay so memorable. Well done!

This is a fantastic hotel with excellent staff, well appointed rooms and a wonderful environment that captures the spirit of Tokyo. Also, all of the rooms have a great view and most have balconies which are rare for the city. It might not be the best walking hotel for first time visitors to the city but overall it is an amazing hotel and my favorite for the city

Wonderful service from every single staff member in this beautiful hotel. The view from the room was extraordinary, and everything you might want is provided. When we discovered my husband had left his blood pressure medication at home, the concierge service was outstanding, sorting a medical appointment the next morning, and medication sourced within 30 minutes so minimal holiday time wasted! Ideally located just across the road from the Imperial Palace gardens and a short walk from the metro.

This hotel is all about understated elegance. The staff is incredibly polite and professional. Top notch! The hotel was renovated in 2011 but it looks like it was done in 2020. The location is in easy walking distance of metro trains or about a 20 minute walk to Ginza (shopper’s paradise). We would return in a heartbeat!!

This is a 5 star hotel that truly is exceptional. The customer service is beyond any other hotel we stayed at - it is like the staff can read your mind and preempt what you are about to ask. The room had a stunning view and the food and beverage offerings are excellent. We stayed at club level and enjoyed the lounge - great pre dinner snacks and very attentive service. There are so many high quality restaurants in the hotel it is hard to know where to start. Breakfast had a fantastic selection - we choose to downstairs grand kitchen option as it had so much variety. We also enjoyed the proximity to Tokyo station - accessed underground or a short walk away. Totally recommend for anyone looking for a high quality hotel in the heart of Tokyo

Our party of seven stayed at the Palace Hotel twice over the last two weeks. Our stays were beyond description, but let me try: 1. The People. Every employee that we encountered treated us as helpfully and politely as possible. Now I know how it must feel to be Taylor Swift. 2. The Premises. The property is spectacular, and the restaurant, bar and lounge were great venues for us to gather. 3. The Room. Where do I start? The room was spectacular, the view of the Palace at sunset could have been a post card!

Great luxury hotel near The Palace. Convenient to Tokyo Station and Tokyo Metro entrance under the hotel. Rooms are comfortable, well designed and spacious. Staff friendly and attentive. One of the better breakfast buffets amongst several luxury hotels I have stayed at in Tokyo. Stayed here twice in two weeks. Ishikawa San and the staff in the upstairs lounge were very friendly and reminds me of the ever shrinking world we live in.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this wonderful hotel, strategically located in close proximity to the main railway station. The amenities offered were in line with the high standards expected from a 5-star establishment. The staff were not only pleasant but also exceptionally helpful. The hotel's proximity to the Tokyo underground was particularly convenient for our transportation needs. Additionally, our room provided lovely views of the park and city skyline, enhancing our overall experience

An impressive hotel ideally situated close to the train station, subway, palace gardens, and shopping district. It boasts a superb spa and pool for unwinding. Every staff member is remarkably warm and responsive. The rooms are expansive and well-appointed with all necessary amenities. The vistas of the parkland and the city skyline are breathtaking. Both breakfast and dinner offer a wide array of choices. This hotel is flawless and outstanding in every aspect.

This is an oasis of tranquility in busy Tokyo located perfectly for a stroll around the Imperial gardens ( or a run around their perimeter) Rooms are spacious , well lit , and equipped with enormous comfortable beds and balconies available with insta views across the Tokyo skyline Breakfast can be indoors or on a terrace and has ample choice (omelettes cooked just right when so often they can be overdone) . Food and drink is understandably pricey given the standards but the teppanyaki was worth pushing the boat out for , impeccably cooked and a well paced multi course experience performed by a master knife wielding chef . Use the 6th floor lounge bar for a more tranquil , comfortable and less business orientated experience Lovely pool and spa , well equipped gym In combination with Google maps the concierges make Tokyo navigation simple Difficult to beat , we had a wonderful stay
