The hotel is located just over 1km from Namba Station which took us 10 to 15mins of walk (it was painful during the rush hours squeezing through the people). Kuromon Market and Doutonbori shopping street is relatively closer. The room size isn’t too big and the hotel provides free hot spring and free ramen (9:30pm to 11pm) which are quite good. Sad thing was the hotel staff refused to help us to call the taxi which we needed to catches it on street (we are in a group of 12). The hotel free shuttle towards Namba station stop service after 11am and the shuttle bus can only carry 9 people (7 with luggage) at most. Finally, we decided to walk back to Namba Station dragging along with our luggage, luckily it was less people in the morning.

We enjoyed our stay at the Dormy Inn Premium Namba. The location is close enough to walk to Dotombori and Kuromon Markets. A subway station is also about the same distance away.

The staff was friendly and helpful. We had no problem communicating in English.

We like the small perks like the free late night ramen and ice pop/ice cream offered at night.

We ate breakfast in the hotel every day because it was a nice buffet with a nice mix of mostly Japanese food with a little western and convenient being in the hotel. It was well worth the cost. Breakfast can be added to the room package at a discounted rate, which we recommend. We left it off in case we wanted to go somewhere else for breakfast but we did not want to in the end.

There is a Lawson convenience store connected to the hotel which was handy.

We stayed at a few hotels during our trip in Japan, and Dormy Inn stood out as our favorite. With a public bath/hot spring on the top floor, this was a nice little quiet escape from all the hustle and bustle that is Tokyo. Kanda station is just seconds away (although the closest exit #6 closes at 10pm) , 7-11 is next door, Akihabara is just a few minutes walk over a scenic bridge. This is all before the free ramen at night free ice pop after bath. The staff has limited English sometimes, and the restaurants around the area is nothing spectacular for Tokyo standards, but other than that, it was the perfect stay and my recommendation for anyone looking for a relaxing stay in the heart of Tokyo

I stayed in the adorns Hotel Annex, which I believe is listed on Google Maps under a different name. Anyhow, it is associated with the Hotel Dormy Premium. It is a very comfortable city centre hotel primarily catering to Japanese people. All the signs in the room were in a Japanese and I don’t think the reception staff had a good command of English. The room was very comfortable, there was a lovely onsen on the top floor, and the breakfast buffet was excellent. Most Japanese hotels seem to provide some form of nightwear, and at the Dormy Hotel, this was a fabulously comfortable pair of cotton pajamas. Many of the Japanese guests wore them at the breakfast buffet!

The Hotel was pretty nice. Though the the room was a but dated but the room was pretty big. Best is there is public hot spring. Price are quite reasonable. I had a nice stay during the 2days 1night. One issue is that they do have curfew due to the surroundings has night clubs.

This is my third time visiting Osaka. I have been staying in this brand’s hotel, just opposite to this one - the Annex one. This time I try to stay here for 3 nights before heading back to HK. The staff is quite good in English and she spoke slowly I to me in Japanese as I’m not very good at Japanese😅. The room is quite small as usual in Japan but it’s clean and tidy. Free Ramen and icecream between 9:00-11:00 pm and free Yakult between 08:00-10:00. The public bath is ok but there is no massage chair here comparing with the Annex one😅😅. It’s just next to Shinsaibashi, convenient for shopping and walk. Highly recommended!

Dormy Inn Premium is ideally situated in the exciting area of Namba. It is modern, clean and looks new. The front reception speaks fluent English and service is above par. Check in and out was fast and efficient.

We stayed in queen-size bedrooms which have enough space for ease of movement. The bedding provided are comfortable, and the room has all the necessary amenities. Hot spring onsen is a boon in the cold winter nights and the free noodles from 9.30pm onwards is a welcome treat. There is complimentary tea and coffee from 3.00pm onwards too! Plus there is a 24 hour supermarket Foodium, diagonally across the hotel on the right (one block away) that stocks all sorts of food if you are hungry in the middle of the night.

What makes this hotel extra special is the ease of access for transport and food options. The free shuttle service in the morning to Namba station is godsend and the bus captain is able to direct you to the right direction, be it taking the subway, bus station or Nankai rail station.

Direction tips - if you are coming in via Nankai railway train from airport, transfer at Namba station to the Sennichimae Line (pink line) to Nipponbashi station, a station away. Take Exit 2, and on road level, turn left and walk straight down the road. You will pass Dotonbori street (with the huge crab on the side of the building) and within minutes, after about two traffic junctions, you will see Dormy Inn Premium on the other side of the road. If you are coming in at night, look out for the brightly lit sign on top of the building. It's a 5-8 min walk from the subway station.

p.s Kuromon market is located at Exit 10 of Nipponbashi station. Food options from fresh sashimi, grilled beef etc abound from 9.00am onwards.

It was my first solo trip in Japan and I felt completely safe staying here. The breakfast is a must have. Wide variety of Japanese and Western style foods including tempura, takoyaki and okonomiyaki. The building was next to a construction site but as a light sleeper, I didn't hear anything. The sink was outside of the bathroom, which is a brilliant set up when there are 2 guests or more. There is a sliding door between the bathroom and the bed so you don't hear noises in the hallway. Location was central, about a 8 min walk to train.

I have stayed at a Dormy Inn Premium hotel before in Tokyo and was hoping for a repeat of that great experience. Unfortunately, it did not work out that way. First of all, the plusses: the onsen/ bath house (big, clean, just lovely). The location (a short walk to a lot of nice areas, even Namba Station is close).
But al these positive points did not change my overall feeling that I was glad that I was only staying one night in this hotel. I know hotel rooms are not that big in Japan (I've stayed in quite some rooms by now), but this one was exceptionally small. We hardly could fit in two people with two moderate suitcases. Also, the room was very dark. And that with the sun shining brightly outside.
The staff's English was quite poor. Therefore, we also had a misunderstanding about the massage we booked through reception. At our stay at another Dormy Inn, there was a separate room for this. But it seemed they turned their spa room into a restaurant here so the massage had to be in our room. A 'first world problem', I know. But I really have no idea how they think that would have fitted in our small space. We could barely fit in there ourselves!
Overall: I think you can find better places in Osaka to stay. I would only stay here again for the onsen, but will probably choose somewhere else.

Travelled to Kyoto and Osaka in August 2015 and have stayed at this lovely hotel for 3 nights.

I stayed in a deluxe queen non-smoking room on a higher floor. The room is quiet though it is facing the road. It is clean and modern and it has all I need and the best is it was equipped with an adapter!

The Onsen was lovely however was very packed at peak hours. The proximity to the area of Namba / Dotonbori/ Amemura (America Town) was great and good enough for me to explore by foot during my stay.

I will not hesitate to consider to choose the same hotel if I were to visit Osaka again.
