This hotel is in a really good location, and very affordable! Situated right in the middle of the Namba area, within a very short walking distance from Shin Sai Bashi and Dotonbori. You will never get bored or go hungry if you stay in this hotel, because there are shops, restaurants, and convenience stores a few steps away from the hotel.

The breakfast spread was decent, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating.

The rooms were a little cramped, although this is nothing out of the ordinary when it comes to hotels in Japan. There was barely enough room for us to comfortably store luggage for 2 people, so we had to be mindful about being organized and tidy at all times.

I recommend this hotel for people who want to experience shopping and nightlife in Osaka, and don't want to break the bank.

The location is impeccable. It's literally right smack in the Dotonburi street, and minutes to Shinsaibashi. We settled all our dinners right in the neighbourhood, as there are a great many food options readily available just a stone's throw away. As you know, Dontonburi and Shinsaibashi are also splendid shopping districts, so we literally got all we needed within walking distance of our hotel. It was perfect for us as I was travelling with my aged father and I didn't want to spend time navigating the complex subway system.

Location aside, the hotel was mediocre on other aspects. The room was tiny - it was like a typical Hongkong room, if you've been to HK. The two of us had problems even opening our luggage cases, and we often bumped into one another in the room.

The toilet was mini as well. I had problems finding space to hang clothes and other necessary items. It was especially troublesome for winter travel, when we had more than one layer of clothes to put on and take off!

I don't mean to be a fusspot, but having two manual water turn taps at the basin was both water-wasting and terribly cumbersome. To save water, usually I'd turn off the taps while washing face for example. But, it was hard enough to get the right water temperature mix, and cumbersome to have to turn two taps with fingers full of soap/ foam/ makeup remover. So I ended up leaving the water running and rushing through whatever I was doing to minimise water wastage.

Breakfast was alright - there was a sufficient spread but i was a little disappointed at the comparatively small selection of Japanese food options. To be fair, I am comparing it with another hotel in Kyoto, where Japanese food options took up at least half the available breakfast selection.

A very an assuming hotel right smack at the heart of namba district in osaka. I said its right smack in the middle of everything! A few minute walk to dotonburi, train station, the shopping strips, seafood market. Definitely a few minutes walk to everything, from food, to drinks, to shops to souvenirs, to nightlife, whew, i mean all! Attached to the front door is a sticker with "come in and we'll surprise you". And surprised, we are. Front staff are friendly always accomodating and very fluent conversing in english knowing it is not their native tongue? Rooms are well appointed though a bit small, but stil cozy. Though the bathroom is small, it still offers all the convenience of a modern toilet and bath. Love the fully automated full function toilet. Coffee is available, from a fully automated coffee machine, all day and all night, a free beer for accor member on the top floor with an awesome view is a welcome respite after a very long day. Only in this accor hotel did we have a such an experience. The only downside to this is the food choices during breakfast. Choices are limited, and somehow repeatitive. Egg is missing on the spread due to some health safety protocol. Overall, the 6 days stay was a very pleasing and looking forward to staying at this hotel the next time we are in osaka.

Hotel's Favourite

Stayed here for three nights with my newly-wedded wife for our honeymoon. The main highlight is the location of the hotel; just in the Dotonbori area. The hotel really offers the main highlight Osaka right in its doorstep. We found this really helpful for us in exploring Dotonbori. 7-11 is just next to the lobby and TONS of F&B outlets are available just after stepping out of the lobby. Like any other city hotel in Japan, room is not very spacious but practical and sophisticated. Room is a bit outdated but very well-kept.

As an ALL Gold member also, we enjoyed the benefit of the unlimited free-flow drinks in the lobby and evening service in 15th floor. Amazing view of Dotonbori in the 15th floor as well, by the way. Staff was quick and efficient, our check-in process took a bit long and some payment issue but all was sorted right away.

I will definitely be back to Osaka and when I do, this is the hotel that I will stay again.

We did choose the Ibis Styles Namba mainly based on location and price. Travelled from Tokyo to Osaka on the Shinkansen with large suitcases and it was just a few minutes walk from the nearest trainstation.

The hotel is very centrally located with walking distance to basically everything in the Namba area. We didn`t have to use public transportation to get around and was able to walk to everything we wanted to see - love it!

The service at hotel is excellent. Rooms are very clean with comfortable beds, good space and all you need for a great stay in Osaka. Breakfast is good with a great mix of traditional Japaneese cousine with a few western options. The hotel has washing machines placed on some floors and we took the advantage to use it as we were on a 15-day roundtrip in Japan. Very easy to handle, cheap and quick.

I can higly reccomend Ibis Styles Namba for your stay in Osaka.

7-11 is just linked to the hotel so no need to worry if it’s cold or rainy. Staff very polite. We were scared by another hotel’s double bed so we opted for 2 twin instead and it was only 1000yen per night for the extra. The other Tokyo hotel wanted to charge us 7000yen mind you.

We happily paid and room size was decent. Toilet was not the biggest but had what you would need. In the night lots of food around the area and walkable to dontonburi and a 24/7 don don donki. Staff also nice to offer us extra pillows when we said it was too soft. Recommend!

Situated in Dottonbori, very close to Shinsaibashi dan Ebisubashi. The hotel is very clean and a bit luxury in my opinion. The staffs are wonderful. They speak proper English. The Breakfast is OK but not bad for early people who need quick Breakie. They have prepared all travelling needs including Flat boxes that are very useful to pack our overloaded snacks

Global Travelling sometimes takes the most out of you! From having to endure frenzy crowds exiting the aircraft to long walkways to the customs and immigration. One just want to check in to a conducive hotel room without any hassles or incidents! However, from experience, without the fine exemplary of Professional Hoteliers like Miss Law or Mr. Makoto Yanagisawa it will hardly happen! Their competencies, efficiencies and insights into our creature comforts speaks volumes of their Impeccable, Professional 5 Stars Services from the Heart. They can indeed stand toe to toe, at any day, anytime with any International Top Stars Hoteliers indeed!
This review is a token of my appreciation and deepest gratitude for all their warmth and cares they have showered upon me during my stay. Thank you very much!

Hotel is very near Dotonbori area. Area is very lively and near shopping and restaurants. Reception desk is very helpful. However, housekeeping has much to be desired. Bed topper is full of hairs and room carpet looks to have never been vacuumed for the last few stays.
During my stay, you had the option for breakfast. I chose not to get the breakfast. There was free coffee (tea and hot chocolate as well) for Accor members. Though this hotel won’t be part of Accor in a few months. The 7-11 beside it is well stocked.

The staff are very welcoming and helpful. Checking in was a smooth process and there was a full explanation of the facilities and procedures.

I had a single room and it had a comfortable queen sized. The room was comfortable. Breakfast is buffet style. It is mainly Japanese style but there are some western options.

However, the hotel is in an area with bars and, even with the window closed, I could still hear the noise through the night. Unfortunately, my room was near the lift and seems to be an area where people like to congregate and talk, whatever the time. Obviously, these points are outside the control of the hotel, but marred an otherwise good stay. Perhaps the hotel could put some notices by the lift asking guests to be respectful of other guests and not to talk in that area.

No, there is no direct train from Kansai aéroport to Nippombashi. You need to transfer at Tengachaya station or Namba station (on using Nankai railway).
