While opinions on the rooms at The Royal Park Hotel Iconic Osaka Midosuji are divided, with some guests finding them cozy and others considering them small, the hotel's cleanliness and modern amenities are consistently applauded. Its strategic location near metro stations and attractions is a highlight, though it's not in the main shopping area.
Despite the hotel offering a range of amenities and commendable service, some guests feel the value is lacking due to high costs and underwhelming breakfast options. The atmosphere is described as elegant but occasionally missing a touch of charm.

Hotel is located in a quiet business area of Osaka, via taxi, around 1,500-2,000 Yen to Namba. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Room was quite modern and large by Japanese standards. Bath had both a shower and tub. Room TV has access to Netflix, Youtube, etc. and hotel Wifi was pretty quick.
Breakfast was fine but buffet closes at 10 am, which can be early if you are a late riser. As the hotel is off the beaten path, there is not much to eat around the hotel, especially for dinner, unless you consider 7-11/Family Mart.
There are coin operated laundry machines in the hotel that I found very convenient. Machine provides detergent, washes and dries for 500 Yen.

Great hotel overall, location is very nice as its secondary enterance opens directly to an amazing shopping street where you feel great walking and experience the high life of osaka. Ideally far away from the night life district that you dont have to worry about noise pollution, yet you do not hesitate to commute back and forth from it whether by train or taxi. Choose the correct room and you will get a great view of osaka from a high floor room. In areas of improvement a bit more work on the concierge for guest would be appricated.

Very nice and elegant hotel in excellent location. Modern and very clean rooms, equipped with every comfort. We had available in addition to normal toiletries also pajamas, a deodorant spray for clothes, and an iron.
The common areas are very elegant and airy.
The rooms however despite not being very large are still comfortable and the view from our room was simply magnificent.
Very kind staff.
Good breakfast, but not up to this hotel. A little too “small” with little choice especially on desserts, even if with quality products.
Upon arrival we were offered an upgrade against a payment of 300€ for 3 nights. Honestly we didn't notice much difference from the room we had booked, so we think this supplement is excessive. I don't think it was worth it.
Anyway structure certainly excellent.

This is an exceptional hotel, which deserves its high accolades and lives up to the hype.
I stayed in an executive room with my partner. The room itself was beautiful, with high ceilings, a breathtaking view and the biggest, comfiest bed I've ever slept in, but the perks do not end there; having an executive room allows guests to use the adjoining lounge, which is a lovely relaxing place to spend a few hours. The lounge has a well-stocked bar, food depending on the time of day and some of the finest views in all of Osaka. Sitting here with a glass of wine watching the sunset was a special experience. Executive breakfast is also served in this lounge and it is not to be missed, a diverse buffet offering a variety of Japanese and western options with a few more leftfield choices (egg parfait and sweet bagel bread were particular favourites).
Despite the luxury of its surroundings and the incredible facilities it offers, the best thing about this hotel is actually the staff. Every member of staff I dealt with was polite and friendly - as is the norm for Japanese hotel employees based on my experiences - but I was particularly impressed with how attentive and perceptive they were, pre-empting your needs before you even realised you had them. Thanks to this, we didn't even have to pull our own suitcases to the lift when we arrived and left. On leaving, a staff member who called a taxi for us accompanied us downstairs, carrying our bags, and then escorted us to the taxi. As the taxi drove away, she said goodbye and bowed. I have never been more reluctant to check out of a hotel and before we had even left the taxi, my partner and I vowed to come back.

We booked a double room for two people and at the check-in at the reception we were informed that this type of room was too small for two people and that we had to pay extra to have enough room. It’s a scam! taking a customer hostage in this way. The breakfast room is extremely sad, without any soul. It’s like the cafeteria of a provincial train station. Breakfast service staff are extremely frustrated and very unkind. During check-out, the Inn refused to keep the suitcases, which forced us to bring them to the station locker room by making an unnecessary round trip. At the Pension Award level, I suggest you go a little further down the street to Pension W, which offers much better services for an Award in the same area.

Room on the smallish side but suited my needs and everything appearsnew. Air-conditioning doesn't go below 20 degrees but Dehumidifier made up for it however could do with some instructions in English. The restaurant is closed for renovations so could not have dinner at hotel like I planned and there is no room service available as a result. Lucky there a quite a few places around the vicinity to eat at. Like a few other posters I didn't realise this hotel started on the 15th floor but was well signed. It explains why the taxis driver had never heard of the hotel, as he probably didn't know it was here. I stayed in a similar version in Tokyo and that time the driver there too struggled to locate the hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. There are 4 combination washer and dryers on floor 23 around corner from the lift. What let the hotel down was a failure to provide an update that restaurant was being renovated as I booked awhile ago. I am paying to stay at a hotel that provides the services it advertised itself as providing. I often like room service too as I travel by myself. There is a steam iron in the room.

Oh dear, hotel off to a great start then tripped and fel flat on its face.
So family trip organised with father in law, wife and her married siblings.
Out for an early dinner and plans to meet at 21.30hrs for a beer and planning.
NOT in the hotel bar which closed. Despite being guests, the bar is closed. Reception recommend walking 10-15 mins to some other google searched random bar.
Oh dear, 5 Star service - I think not. Added to the smell of cooked fish in the rooms on the 18th floor, makes me suggest that this might be more a 3 star hotel.

We stayed 4 nights on the very private, Executive floor with a King size bed. Free Breakfast and cocktails at night was offered. Our room had all the amenities we needed, bed was huge and very comfortable. View was so nice from our room and the Executive lounge. Staff from check in to checking out was very friendly and professional, and I must mention the staff at the Breakfast Lounge was excellent as well and the breakfast was always fresh and delicious with so much variety to choose from. Everyone spoke English well. This hotel is located in the business area, so it was quiet and train station, stores and restaurants were walking distance. Weather was perfect, not too warm or too cold, from Oct.13-17th. We absolutely enjoyed our stay, and we highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay at a 5* hotel in Osaka.

A good hotel located in a business area of the city , 10 minutes walk from two metro stops . Modern and well-kept common interior, breakfast area also comfortable with the possibility of a large Western and Asian escort. The rooms are spacious modern and comfortable, spotless and equipped with every kit. I recommend it for quality and price

The hotel is in a business area it seems but we never ran into crowds. The metro stops we’re near by. The lobby is an elevator ride up a few floors. And then another elevator ride to the rooms. The hallways are dark and the rooms a little bit too decor-wise.
Our kids had a triple room which was nice.
There were decorative pillows and pjs on the bed each day. The AC was efficient and needed during the hot summer weather.
The best feature of this hotel was that there is a laundry room with four washer dryer combos. You can check on the TV their availability and time remaining until they’re open. After a couple of weeks on the road it was convenient to be able to wash in the hotel.
