Great hotel with a fab onsen. Nice eating/drinking area too, with happy hour for guests serving drink and ramen. Room clean and comfortable. The location is very handy with several metro stations nearby, as well as several attractions within walking distance. As a solo female traveller, the area felt very safe.

Excellent large hotel with very friendly reception staff who were very helpful. Hotel wasn’t too far from the station and there were some lovely bakeries/ coffee shops nearby! Twin Room was spacious with all the amenities you could possibly need. Onsen facilities were fabulous and immaculately clean. Laundry service was perfect. We Took advantage of the free ramen bowl after a long day’s sight seeing and was impressed by the taste and portion size. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would return again.

Is quite easy to find, it has a Metro line just 3 blocks away, there are several stores (Family Mart and 7-Eleven), local restaurants and the Temple is quite close to the Hotel.

Front Desk is 24/7:
The only and quite big problem: THEY BARELY SPEAK ENGLISH!! So is not really helping much in case you need something. It is a big problem to communicate in this hotel (and in many areas in Japan) because they just speak Japanese and a few members from the staff speak a little bit of English. Never the less, the people are quite friendly and they do their best to assist you.

Breakfast:
It supposed that breakfast is till 9:30, but at 9:15 is the last admission and they start removing all the things already at 9:10! This was quite annoying because you can get more things or drink something else. The coffee IS THE WORST THING EVEN since it is a "finished, pre-made, plastic bag coffee" that comes out of the machine!! This is the only thing I can absolutely NOT recommend. Besides the bad coffee, you can get teas or pre-made water mixed juice. The variety of the buffet is ok, but of course only Japanese food and 1 or 2 non-Japanese things to eat. Since we wanted to go local and eat like them, it was not a problem, but after a while, we just didn't want to eat fish, salad or soup for breakfast and the options were super limited.

Location:
It's super easy to move from the hotel to another places with the subway (Chuo Line), by walking or with the bike. There is a "Shuttle Service" from the Hotel to "Shinsaibashi" and to "Nanba" which are 2 main shopping and well-known areas. This Shuttle Service is just til 12:30 though and works on the basis "first come, first serve"... if it's full (each car has a capacity for 9 people) you will have to wait for the next one which will leave 30 minutes after. It is also quite close to the Temple Hokoku, you just need to walk the main street up and you will be there!

Facilities:
The Hotel offers FREE OF CHARGE: coffee all the time at the lobby, rent of e-bikes (2 hours free and from the 3 - 5 hours they charge you a small amount), "hot waters" entry (which is a mini area with warm and cold water 40cm high pool and a sauna and with separate entries for man and women), a complimentary free dinner (noodle soup only and beer, wine, sake, coffee and tea) and they have "vending machines".

Rooms:
The rooms are TINY! In our booking, we paid even extra to get a reasonable size room (since in Japan, having more space is a luxury thing) and once we were there, we had no space at all! There was no space at all for our luggage (we had 2 main and 2 hand luggage), you get a mini space where toilet and shower are inside (3,5 m2 altogether) and we got a "double bed" for Asien people sizes! The window was showing you the next building and there was no light coming in... We spend the first night there and couldn't rest at all. On the next morning, we went to the reception and ask them to change us the room for a "bigger one and bigger bed" and somehow we got one (because the Hotel was almost booked-out). We needed to pay 7,500 Yen extra but it totally worth it! Our room was this time on the second floor, had a bit more space (at list we could walk and open our suitcases) and the window was pointing to the main street and we got light in our room! Btw, the room was also super silent =)

This hotel is located near the subway, restaurants and also a supermarket across the road (also surrounded by a number of convenience stores). Check in was very easy and the staff can speak excellent English.

We stayed in the double room on a higher floor. It is very quiet and the room size is big by Japanese standard. The onsen is definitely a highlight, it has two outdoor and two indoor baths plus a sauna (also you can check how busy the onsen is via the TV).

We didn't opt in for breakfast but there are complimentary coffee and tea in the guest lounge in the lobby. Also, they offered complimentarily drinks and ramen in the evening to celebrate their opening.

Overall the service was excellent and definitely recommend this hotel.

Just five minutes walk from underground, a small supermarket opposite to the hotel which is closed on 2300hr. Super value hotel with 1) quite a large coffee area at ground floor, 2) free wine and soft drink 1900-2100hr, 3) free noodle 2130-2300hr, 4) hot spring, 5) 2 hours free electricity bicycle, 6) we got the room upgraded. Though there is a lot of tourist group from China, the overall condition is good as they always arrive hotel at very late night and leave at very early morning.

I love Dormy. Lot's of Japanese style service. Not in your face, but well received. Late night free noodles are great. Location is fine but you'll have to look for it as it's not obvious at first glance.

This hotel is about 5-minute walk from tanimachi 4-chome station. However, the nearest exit is not equipped with elevator or escalator. You may want to take a bit further exit (1A) in order to ride a lift.
The hotel staffs were helpful as they allow me to leave my luggages overnight with them when I went for a side trip to Kinosaki Onsen and Hiroshima . They also provide a shuttle bus to Shinsaibashi and Nankai Namba station on a first come first serve basis (limited to 9 PAX) until noon. Due to their new opening period, they offer free beverages at night (21.00-23.00) apart from their regular ramen. Although their breakfast is mainly Japanese, it comes with wide selection of food and great taste. Their onsen facilities are new and great. They also provide washing and drying machines with a cost of 100 yen per one drying which is very handy for long-stay travelers. Guest lounge in the lobby is nice for refill your water supply for your day. However, their facilities are quite crowded at the peak hour, you may need to time your use wisely. One small thing is that I found a small bag of trash on the table in my room one day after I had checked in. I guess the housekeeper forgot to take it out. All in all, great hotel by Dormy Group.

My friend and I were travelling all over Japan and we spent 3 nights at this hotel.

The room was a very nice size, by Japan standards. (Most of our rooms in other cities were SMALL).

What was especially nice in this hotel was the onsen amenities. They have an indoor onsen, and two outdoor ones (a large one and a small 1-person tub). Also: there's a sauna and a cold-plunge pool!

Plus there's a washer-dryer (washer is free, dryer is only a dollar or two per half hour). And there's lockers and many places to sit and style your hair. They provide hair dryers and brushes.

The location is pretty good, it is just a 10-15 minute walk to a subway station.

The hotel staff were very polite and helpful and most of them spoke English.

I would stay here again!

I had two wonderdul stays in this hotel esp due to Onsen for relaxation. Some great restaurants (Izakaya) located in the buildings near metro. But there is a very bad one targeting travellers named" Monteroza tanimachi 山內農場".

The interesting thing is the waiters seem serving you in a passionate way but the female one must ask where you are from when you are not speaking japanese coz i heard this questions a few time at the night i visited.

The food is bad and they tried to be very lazy to cheat the travellers that some hot dishes served as cold. The worst thing is they charge you a few things more. While i did just order Hiragana (green beans), a regular size of chicken, and a glass of sochu, this restaurant charged me as below. This is ridiculous and now i warn everyone not speaking japanese dont go to this restaurant.
