The rooms are small, but the layout of each room is designed to maximize its function -. The room, bathroom, and common areas were impeccably clean, and the hotel offered tons of little perks like free ramen during happy hour and a free cell phone with unlimited data and calls.
Perfect staff.. and really nice location (a 10 mins walk from 3 different metro stations)
Strongly suggested.

I had a single room for 4 nights, it was small but perfectly adequate. All the usual bathroom accessories with more to choose from in reception. Fridge and drink making equipment. WiFi was a bit dodgy to begin with but a nice young woman came and sorted it out and then it worked perfectly. The only downside to my room was that the window was on the side of the building and was frosted glass, presumably because the outlook wasn't good. We also had some noisy neighbours a couple of nights but not for too long. Between 4 - 9pm we were told they served free Ramen, we didn't try it but I guess if you wanted to save money it would be useful. We also found out that they served free drinks, you help yourself if you join their club which is free. We did try that and there was a good choice, wine, whiskey, sake etc The staff were all very pleasant and helpful, didn't have great English but that was fine, we are in Japan after all. We were even offered umbrellas on loan one rainy night.

We got the train from the airport. 920 yen per person, you get the Nankai line to Namba. Then you get the Namba to Yodoyabashi train, 180 per person. At Yodoyabashi take exit 11. There is loads of help at the station.....just ask. When you leave the station go right and you are on the main road, go to the left and walk straight until you see a Family Mart on the corner. Turn down there and walk straight for a few minutes. First you will pass WBF West. The hotel is on the right. We arrived at 1.45pm and were told we could not check in until 3pm! We joined the WBF club as it said 2pm check in....this was not the case!! At 3pm we checked in, we were given a 350ml bottle of water, a little packet of coffee and a cardboard sleeve with 4 little skin care packets inside. That was between 2 people! We later asked for another water, you would think we had asked for a pot of gold!! Our room was the smallest one we had on our trip of Japan. But it's clean and comfy. There was a length of a slipper (size 6) between the two beds! If you move stuff around you can just lay down 2 cases. There is a kettle, tea/coffee (no milk, sugar or water provided). There is a safe, fridge and hairdryer. The bathroom is like a portacabin but it's clean with good toiletries. A good shower and short deep bath. At 4pm you can get tea/coffee, juice, alcohol and a few nibbles. A problem we had Was, the staff that don't speak English. If they don't understand a question...they just say yes! This resulted in us being totally lost one day. I think if you are on holiday and you plan to go out and do trips a hotel with better international speaking staff would be the best choice. We got train back to the airport, allow 1 hour and 45 minutes to get there.

Nice new hotel, looks like it just had its grand opening end of summer 2018. It looks to be a franchise as we walked past a WBF Kitasemba West not too far away.

Stayed here twice on the same trip. The first time was planned, the second was not. We had to stay an extra 2 nights due to Typhoon Jebi which knocked out Kansai International Airport and we couldn’t leave. We couldn’t have been luckier to stay at such a nice hotel though.

Room was immaculately clean, on the smallish side but to be expected in Japan. Had air conditioning, room safe, kettle, air purifier and hair dryer.
Front desk was very efficient and all the staff was very friendly. Wifi was great on our first stay on the 8th floor and not so great as it was intermittent on our second stay on the 5th floor. Hotel has coin operated laundry machines downstairs, very convenient. Convenient luggage scale in the lobby.

Good location, lot’s of great places to eat on neighbouring streets around the hotel and is also in between 4 train stations with 5 different train lines. This hotel couldn’t be located at a better location for transportation and there’s nothing like Japanese public transportation. Believe it, you can set your watch to the train schedule!

We didn't take advantage of it but the room also came with a complimentary Android Smart Phone with data, that you can take with you to use while you're exploring the city. It’s convenient if you didn’t get a SIM card, especially for finding all the transit stations!

Tip: Ask the front desk to sign up for a “frequent stay” membership, if they don’t already mention it. Even if you have no intention of staying at one of their many other locations, it gives you great benefits while you’re staying at the hotel including free drinks during afternoon happy hour and free ramen for a late night snack.

I will stay here again on my next trip to Osaka.

Stayed here 3 nights in a double room on 13th floor. The room is quite small, just breathable for 2 with packs, but feels like modern luxury with all the perks: flatscreen, fridge, safe, kettle, mugs, tea/coffee, freshly laundered pyjamas and slippers, and a complementary touchscreen phone with unlimited data and calls to take on your day trips (note, calls to Australia not included after checking).

Bed is comfortable and bathroom has bath/shower/smart toilet and free soaps, razors, toothbrushes, combs etc

We also enjoyed the free “snacks and drinks” from 4-9 which was literally a free booze station including whiskies, white spirits, liquors, juices, red and white wine and coffee/tea to suit all tastes. Snacks included biscuits, chocolates, and moshi.

There is also free ramen available from 9:30pm.

The hotel is well located, within walking distance of several metro stations, and the staff were very friendly. I was on the 12th floor and lucky enough to have daylight in my room. The room itself was quiet and spotlessly clean: note to couples, the rooms are very small. The hotel provides shower gel, shampoo and hair conditioner, and there is a very good hair dryer as well. An electric kettle is also provided.
Because the rooms are so small, there is just about no space to put away clothes; I was there for 6 nights, so it wasn't very comfortable having to live out of my suitcase. And because the rooms are so small, there is almost no room for suitcases. For more spacious rooms, the hotel advises to reserve twin rooms. Many rooms don't receive any daylight because the hotel building is right against the next and therefore no light comes in (example room 1207). I was in room 1202, which was fine.

We stayed in 3 hotels for our Japan trip. And the irony is that we liked this 3 star hotel better than the 4 star. So convenient to have free breakfast. Free ramen at night. Place is also close to a 7-11 and couple other restaurants incase you get frustrated with how crowded Dotonburi is. Toiletries are of good quality. Lady in the front desk gave us face kit (make up removers. Facial wash. Lotion and moisturizer).

I dont know what others meant by 2 blocks walk to the station. But it takes 20-30mins.

We had confirmed with reception that checkout time was 12pm the following day as I do with all my hotels. The old man was there when we had asked. I get a call at 10 saying "time to checkout, you stayed too long so that will be 1000 yen each". Obviously we disputed a little a bit but he said "no. 1000 yen I never said 12"
We did not want to cause trouble or anything so we reluctantly paid the 1000 yen. I've been to a lot of hotels in Japan but this one had to be the most underhanded and sleeziest checkout tactics I've ever seen
Also, at night one of the guests were laughing with his family; I observed this as I was doing laundry and the old manager with the bowl cut pointed to his head and asked "are you okay? Something wrong with Head?". From my understanding I believed he asked a guest of the hotel if they were mentally challenged for laughing at that time. I was quite shocked as a guest.
I am in no way making this up out of spite for this man, but I would like to make everyone aware that these budget hotels come at a price.
So be wary and document everything in relation to time if you can .

We stayed in this hotel for 5nights. It was well worth what we spent. Service was amazing from front desk to the cleanliness. They provide free drinks (including selection of alcohol) and snacks 4-9pm everyday, free ramen everyday night at 9.30pm. We were here during Valentine’s Day and the hotel gave us a cute bag with sweet goodies to enjoy. Rooms are very well equipped and size is good for Japan. Location is great with 100’s of restaurants and cafes walking distance (including Starbucks 😁). 2 Metro station just 10mins walk. Overall we had a great experience here.
