There are two Metro lines very close - Sakaisuji Line (2 minutes walk) and Midosuji Line (5 minutes walk). Dotonbori (Namba Station) is on the

The entire establishment was very clean. The towels and the sheets, brilliant white. The breakfast buffet was not as good as the one at Sotetsu Fresa Inn Kyoto-Kiyomizu Gojo. But nothing that we can complain about. Still keeping it in what we liked.

The check in was extremely slow. It took 30 to completing the procedure. The rooms are excruciatingly small and NOT SUITABLE for any kind of bags. There is no space for second person to get on or get off the bed. We had booked six rooms, double occupancy and traveling all way from India for 17 days in Japan, we had two bags in each room. It was very difficult.

There is coin laundry available which was very convineint for our long trip.

This was the second time that we stayed, first was 2018. We were given a room on 13th floor.
Room was adequate but not uncomfortable. No pyjamas were provided. Temperature in the room can be adjusted to suit.
Breakfast was buffet style, mixture of western and Japanese cuisines.
2 metro subway stations and Keihan Line are within walking distance. There are restaurants in the vicinity.
We enjoyed our stay.

I stayed here for 4 nights in July 2018. I got what I felt was a really good rate via Trivago / Agoda for under $100 AUD a night for one person staying in a double room with no breakfast. As other's have pointed out this place is really new, at the time of booking and the writing this review; when I tried looking it up on google street view the building was still under construction.

My double room was small, but very clean and modern, I think most people reading these reviews accept the small room with it being Japan anyway. In your room you get full amenities - toothbrush / paste, comb, body wash etc. You also get slippers and PJs. There was a TV but I didn't really bother with it as the hotel has free wifi anyway which worked quite well during the stay.

The double bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean. You also get a small bar fridge in your room which was very handy. No mini bar though, which was fine as I don't normally bother with mini bars anyway. The common areas were very modern / clean.

I arrived at 4am in the morning on a flight from Hong Kong, I made sure I booked the night before so I could get into my room with no issue. At that time of the morning unfortunately the trains were not running from the airport to anywhere in Osaka; so it was a very expensive cab ride instead. The cabbie had not heard of the hotel but using my agoda print out and his Sat Nav / GPS he got me there in under an hour. The front desk is staffed 24 hours, but I did have to buzz to get in at that time of the morning which was very quickly responded to. The staff we're extremely courteous and friendly at check in. My limited Japanese (ie no Japanese) was no problem.

This hotel is situated between two very good train stations for Osaka - Yodoybashi and Kitahama. I mostly used Yodoybashi for the majority of my stay, it links up well with Shin-Osaka which is good for Shinkansen or airport train and Namba Station which is awesome for Dotonbori and Shinsaibashisuji I also enjoy walking a lot on my holiday's, so I walked to Osaka castle on my first day or would train to Dotonbori and walk back in the warm evening for example. I used Kitahama station for the train on my day trip to Kyoto.

On level 2 of the hotel there was a room for guests which had a number of ultra modern coin operated clothes washing machines; (which I desperately needed after my stay in Hong Kong). This washer room also had a number of vending machines for drinks including one which had alcohol (140 yen for a can of beer) and a microwave for you to heat up ready to eat meals you may have purchased.

In the immediate area you have a 7/11 convenience store right outside which I believe is open 24 hours and has an ATM for you to get your cash out for your trip. Near the Kitahama station entrance there is a reasonably large supermarket in the mini mall / plaza called "The Kitahama" which was cheaper than the 7/11 and had much more range; although not open 24 hours of course. There is also a supermarket Kohyo near the Yodoyabashi station entrance too as well as a "Tully's coffee". This being Japan there are also vending machines in the streets too.

There were a number of restaurants in the area which I did not end up trying as I was out a lot in other parts of Osaka anyway. They looked decent enough though and had locals eating in them. The area itself is quite nice if not a little quiet. It looked to me to be mostly office / commercial area. I actually preferred that, because it was only a reasonable walk / short train ride to the fun down near Dotonbori / Shinsaibashisuji but quite relaxing at night when trying to sleep say.

My last day I checked out and leaving my bags with them for the day which was no problem at all, I eventually picked up my bags, walked to Yodoybashi, caught the train to Shin-Oasaka, then bought my ticket for the Shinkansen and headed to Tokyo, easy as.

All in all as long as you accept the room size I think you will have a good stay here as I certainly did. I was fine as a single traveler; perhaps with another person it might of been a bit of squeeze but for the price you can't be too precious about it. If you are the type of traveler also who wants to be in among all the action, this place may not be for you either, but if you are happy with a modern well priced hotel in a quieter area with good transport links, I would recommend this place. :)

Extremely pathetic!!The lobby is slightly good but the rooms are terribly small, wall to wall small bed with a tiny bathroom. It feels suffocating inside with no ventilation nor open windows.Restaurant offers very basic buffet breakfast. Staff are discourteous and impolite.Request for a glass of drinking water while check in was not provided. Distance wise it is quite far from nearest train and bus stations. Please avoid !!

NOT SUGGESTED AT ALL!
First at all, room are so tiny that u have no space to even open your luggage. Second, it looked clean but we found some hairs on the bathroom wall and on the pijiama provided. But until this, was still alright.
One day after housekeeping cleaned my room, one of my bag with my clothes was missing. I went to speak with reception, they took more than 1 day to tell me that they could not find it, and it was no proof that the bag is been taken from my room! It’s a shame! For sure never stay here again, for all guest coming in this hotel: LOCKED YOUR LUGGAGE!! do not leave anything important in your room, or do not let housekeeping clean your room!

Check in process was really fast. They offered free amenities at lobby. Their salt shower bath really amazing. Makes me relax after tired day. Narrow room but comfortable bed. Clean room and bathroom. Great water pressure and hot shower works well. Need to scan card at elevator to access your room floor. Have free ice cube machine, microwave and coin laundry at 2nd floor.

The room is indeed very small, even for Japanese standards (by far the smallest room I stayed in out of 6 hotels). It was fine for one person, but would have been a real crunch for two. However, wifi worked, and most importantly to me, the room was very quiet. The hotel is priced rather high for the size of the rooms, but provides a decent option for a single person if other hotels are unavailable.

I stayed two nights in this hotel for my Osaka Marathon. It was located in a quite place in Osaka, a few stations from the city centre and shopping area. Transportation-wise it was very convenient if you want to stay away from people. The hotel is relatively new, the staff were very sincere and pleasant. Most of them can speak English.

The room is small, you need to juggle around if you want to open a big suit case! This is Japan, though. I love the breakfast very much as it provides pure Japanese cuisines of which real locals eat in the morning. I prefer this kind of food rather than continental one in a 5 or 6 star hotel.

Since my trip was rather short, I didn't have time to try out the dinner menu. Indeed, there are couples of nice restaurants in the neighbourhood.

My second time staying at Sotetsu Fresa chain and I won’t hesitate coming here or any of their branches again cos I just feel comfortable there. Brought my extended family and placed them in deluxe twin room and deluxe double for my spouse and I. My takes on their pros and cons.

Pros
1. Location: Most of SF locations are always 4-7 mins walk to the main station and at least 1-3 stops to top main attraction, most often at quieter business district away from tourists. This may be a con for those who much prefer to stay in the middle of action and noise
2. 24/7 convenient stores: Convenient stores are always a few hops away. The nearest Family Mart has the best selection compared to 7 Eleven
3. Amenities: They’re SO generous with their bath supplies - big bottles of shower soap, shampoo, conditioner and foam hand soap that you can also use as face wash! And if that’s not enough, they offer complimentary skincare sachets at reception from oil cleanser, scrub, toner, sheet masks (from named brand Shiseido, DHC) enough to spoil their guests after long walk in Osaka.
4. Bathroom: Depending on which room you’re staying, the bigger room (Deluxe Twin Room) offers separate room for sink, bathtub and toilet which is highly recommended if you want a bigger space to do makeup while other spouse take a shower or dump. Water pressure is very good and satisfying and temp go and up down very quickly!
5. Breakfast can be purchased together with booking - I used Agoda for booking and you will get cheaper rate (-300-400 yen). If you forget, you can purchase token for 1000 yen at reception or at breakfast room on the day itself. Lovely Japanese and mini western continental breakfast.
5. Bed: Small but clean! With air purifier. Don’t bother bringing sleep attire as a two piece sleep nighties is ready for you! Pillows can be a slight discomfort to those who prefers feather pillows.

Cons
1. Staff has limited English. Don’t bother asking the nearest or where to go, cos you’ll probably get better answers from Google. This is what I observe from both chains. Perhaps the hotel caters more to local crowds?
2. Location: As much as I put location as pros, it can sometime be cons especially when you have big luggage and items to carry back to station or airport. If this is you, get a cab instead of walking. Or better, find way to get bicycle cos it’s a straight road from Yodoyabashi to Namba, Amerikamura.

Stayed here for 4 nights with a little child. Room size is standard Japan hotel rooms.
Location wise, short walking distance from Kitahama exit 6.
As the hotel is pretty new, it might be hard to locate on google map. 1 trick will be to search for Mitsui Garden hotel Osaka instead. Sotetsu Fresa inn is just a few units away from that.
There is a 7-11 store less than 1 minute walk away.
As for breakfast options, Doutor cafe right beside hotel. They serve very decent breakfast.
Hotel is very thoughtful to have a humidifier in the rooms! Definitely my 1st time seeing hotel rooms with that. And the free beauty products provided at reception area is a very nice gestures from them.
Lastly, if you all want to visit a supermarket, look no further. There's one at Kitahama plaza, minutes walk from hotel. We happen to chance upon this and had a great time shopping for food stuff at the supermarket.

The only complaint I have is the hotel never reply to online enquiries. There's no email address to email and they never respond to the online query form which I filled up on their website. Thus the only way you can contact the hotel is to spend money on overseas call to them directly.

Overall a pleasant 4 nights stay and I'll definitely recommend it.
