The proximity of this Hotel to Temmabashi station and the City Mall is one of its great advantages. Staff were always willing to help above and beyond.
There is ongoing renovations when we were there. It will greatly help to improve the facilities on our next visit. Airconditioning is not fully functional. But they have lots of laundry facilities which makes it convenient.

The room is small and the bed is small, considering it is a double room. We did not have enough space to open the 2 luggages we had. The bathroom is also very small. For one person the room is ok but for two the room is obviously small. The Wi-Fi signal was very poor. Positive points: 1. They have good quality products in the bathroom; 2. The staff was kind and nice despite their poor English; 3. The hotel is located at a 30 seconds walking distance to the subway station; 4. It is also located at a 10 minutes walking distance to Osaka Castle. In my opinion it is a last solution option, because of the dimensions of the room.

Hotel is close to subway station and a shopping cite. The building is quite old and rooms are really really small, we had two luggages and when they were open we could barely find a place to stand on. So it would be good for one person but crowded for two. However room is clean.

Nice room with a surprising amount of space. Tub and shower in separate wet room. Kettle and mini fridge in room. Microwave, vending machines, laundry and ice available. Conveniently located just across the street from a train station with 7-11 close by.

The location is very good - 1 minute walk of an entrance to a subway station, 3 minutes walk of the Keihan line. Staff were excellent and helpful. MANY restaurants around. There is also a Family Mart within 1 minute's walk.

I didn't like the duvets - all beds were given a duvet that looked like it didn't get washed often, and I was given a sheet that kept me from coming in contact with the duvet - you should get the picture (I can't describe it more delicately, sorry). This is what usually ticks me off in a hotel room. I prefer a duvet that has a duvet cover.

It's a good choice if you're not looking for a resort type of hotel.

Rating hotels is very subjective and really depends on your preferences. Mine are listed in order as they appear.

Room size-TINY-For this Japanese style hotel, the 2 3-foot wide beds fit wall-to-wall where you could only access one side of the inside bed. I couldn't even squeeze behind my wife while she was seated at the desk area. Definitely not enough room for 2 people to share the desk/TV. Bathroom was not maneuverable for even one person. I spent the better part of my life in RV's/caravans and this bathroom was smaller than any RV/caravan bathroom I have ever been in.

Internet-EXCELLENT-This hotel advertised that internet is available in the room. It was available and download and upload speeds were better than my home (my wife and I could stream video at the same time with no problem). NO bandwith issues.

Amenities-STANDARD-Coffee pot, hair dryer (works well to dry clothes you wash in your room as apparently Japanese cleaners don't want to wash briefs and undies), TV (no English channels), remote, AC, refrigerator. Vending machine was on our floor, weĺl stocked and working. One machine had beer, as well. The lobby vending machines sold hot foods including french fries. Ice was available and FREE. Very good quality shampoo, conditioner, body soap and face wash supplied free. Toothbrushes, toothpaste and combs supplied also.

Bathroom-GOOD-contained a modern Japanese bidet seat with the full set of controls. The biggest problem was that unless you are short and thin, this bathroom is TIGHT. On the positive side this bathroom was immaculate and well-stocked.

Staff-PLEASANT-Very professional. VERY responsive. Never a line to wait. Many spoke or understood enough English to get you an answer with little wait.

Food-Buffet breakfast was available for purchase. Since the price was near US$14, we didn't try it. It was easily viewed from the lobby area and was basic fare, not really worth the price. There are other option available within walking distance.

Location-GOOD-Easy access to the subway, about 200 meters. Another 200 meters gets you to the local shopping center with more shops, restaurants, another subway access. Most of those shops and restaurants are open later so it makes for good late dining. Walking distance to Osaka Castle and Osaka Museum of History.

OVERALL-I would stay here again, BUT it wouldn't be my first choice. The price was a little high for the room space but decent for the overall conditions.

The hotel room is small as usual for Japan. Nothing bad and nothing standouts either. However the location is definitely the highlight. Located just steps away from Keihan Tenmabashi Station. And walking distance to Osaka castle and Mint Osaka. Two best places for Sakura viewing in Osaka.

Inexpensive hotel near subway station and Keihan Rail Station.
If you want to travel to Kyoto,
You have to get to Keihan Tenmabashi station on foot for just 2 minutes.
Keihan Train will take you to Kyoto downtown(Gion).
That is why I take that hotel.
But you can not open the room window.
There is no view from the window.
The Great benefet is that the hotel gives you the ticket to Kyoto for free.
If you are budget traveler who does not care elegancy, the hotel is the good hotel.

We stayed booked 3 nights for 3 person unit. The check in and check out is very efficient and reception staffs are very courteous and helpful.

The room size is however small and hardly can walk through after putting 3 mid size luggage. Also the entrance from road to hotel lobby is elevated without escalator. Very inconvenient for those with heavy luggage but there is a bell to call for assistance to help take in the luggage.

Other than these the hotel is clean and extremely convenient only 2 minutes walk from tenmabashi subway station where there is a lift from subway to road and just go slightly incline downhill. There are lots of restaurants to eat as well.

Breakfast is good with variety but after eating for 2 days which is the same everyday, you would not find it tasty. However would still recommend this hotel which is reasonable in price and very convenient for those without car. You could virtually travel anywhere after entering the subway.

The room has a bad toilet which cannot be flushed well. I asked the hotel to fix that but still didn't work well. I believe the room had a problem for some time already and they should not allocate me to the room.
WIFI in the room is terribly weak to almost useless level.
The breakfast is nice but the problem above devaluated all unfortunately.

Hello Inserting an email adress or HTML link is not possible on Tripadvisor. The system refuses my giving you the adress. However you can go on the corporate website of hotelkeihan and send an email to their headquarters, They will answer you via the hotel email. Note that they are very kind and always willing to help though their English may be rather limited sometimes. Have a stay as enjoyable as mine....
