Detailed Reviews
My husband and I were travelling with friends from Alberobello to Norcia and we needed a couple of places to stay along the way, to help break the journey up- this became one of our choices.
The town of Lesina looked virtually like a ghost town when we stayed here in mid May. We didn't see anybody driving or walking around town as we drove in, until we got to Casale Villa Guilia. I think the whole town must have been having lunch here.
The people that worked at the hotel were wonderfully friendly and the receptionist/manageress/translator was one of the happiest people you would ever meet. She was truly delightful.
The corridors in this hotel were something to marvel at, deep bright colours with very interesting and huge paintings on the walls.
The hotel rooms were unique, one might even say gaudy but in a very charming way! They had an 'old Italian style " look about them but they were quite comfortable.
The room also had a small balcony with a little swinging seat on it. The shower was amazing, there was certainly no water saver on this shower!
Breakfast was limited, but we all had the yummiest jam filled croissant that we had ever had, and some of us had 2. It was an interesting breakfast as well as cereal and those incredible croissants there was also cheesecake!
I really liked Casale Villa Guilia, it's interesting but sometimes when you least expect it something uniquely different arrives.
