Detailed Reviews
We were stuck for accommodation and checked in by chance. Marina Lesina would not be our first choice destination . The hotel is basic 3 star, sufficient for our purposes. We could not find anywhere in town for dinner so ate at the hotel. The owner/manager was fantastic, plied us with extra bits and pieces and then a strange laurel liqueur. A very entertaining evening.

Coming to Hotel Hvar is like stepping back in time. The structure, in fact, in its style seems to have crystallized in the 70s (a bit like the whole country) and this has something attractive. The hotel is firmly led by director Tonino, with the help of his children Rosanna and Matteo, all people with a kindness, friendliness and hospitality that nowadays is not easy to find. The hotel is also frequented by groups and individuals who for decades have never failed to pass through these parts and the manager and family reserve the same attention to both the old guard and guests arriving for the first time. The rooms have no particular or serious defects, nor at least inconvenience. The only downside is that in the morning you frequently hear noises of doors, footsteps and voices (probably also because the walls are not thick). The hotel has a special beach, which is connected to the structure by an avenue (surrounded by a pine forest) passable in no more than two / three minutes. Breakfast is rich and plentiful. Those with intolerance problems, however, do not have a wide choice: they can eat only one dessert and order zymil milk (in addition to drinking a juice). However, for lunch and dinner the situation is different: the food, personally prepared by chef Anna, and wife of the director, is good, fresh and light and the portions are presented in a medium-large way. The appetizers, which are the only course to take at the buffet, are varied; the only drawback is that once finished they are no longer replenished. The director Tonino personally sincerely, passing between the tables, of the good performance of the service and the satisfaction from the guests. The waiters are all kind and friendly and do not break down in the face of special requests or minor mishaps. What is missing is evening entertainment. However, this lack can be overcome, especially if you have left in a group or if you have small children, spending the evening together in the beautiful outdoor garden, equipped with tables, swings, a small artificial pond, a decorative fountain and some rides. In general, this place is suitable for those who want to rest and relax.

One of the historic hotels in the area, in Torre fortore, practically a stone's throw from Marina di Lesina. Perhaps it should be a little modernized, as a location, as rooms, as a garden, as parking, but in the kitchen there is professionalism and fresh fish. And you don't pay that much.

It was very pleasant to discover that it is possible to have lunch and dinner even if you are not a guest of the hotel (subject of course to availability).
The room, 80s style, is large with around 100 seats. The staff is very kind and welcomes customers making them feel at home. The fish dinner was truly delicious. Abundant appetizer which includes cold dishes (cuttlefish and octopus salad, marinated salmon, prawn cocktail, prawns), hot dishes (octopus, stuffed mussels, fish balls) and raw dishes (seafood).
Very very good mixed roast (cuttlefish and shellfish). Top quality within everyone's reach.
Advise.

Enchanting place surrounded by nature, with a walk in the pine forest to access the beach, exceptional food prepared by Mrs. Anna, the welcome, kindness and professionalism of Mr. Antonio are extraordinary, he "pampered" you at all times, all the staff of the hotel was very friendly and helpful, we felt like at home.
