Great beach house with friendly managers on site

We stayed in a beach house for 3 nights (as part of visit to the east coast) it was only 5 mins to the beach (out of a side gate). with the beach really lovely (see pics from first evening walk). A 20-30 minute beach walk takes you to Peregian Village where shops, cafes & restaurants or less than 5mins in the car! In No17 there was a fully equipped kitchen, dining table inside and out along with a large living room and tv (plus a range of board games etc - nice touch). Downstairs were the bathroom, 3 bedrooms and en-suite for our bedroom with everything working and also being clean and tidy. The BH also provides beach towels and umbrellas so you don’t have to take that with you. We used the pool one day but not the tennis court and the managers there were very friendly and helpful when we chatted with them. Would happily stay here again as lovely bueach, good local centre nearby and very close to Noosa by car. …

I have shared your kind words with the owners of house 17, while all our houses are individually owned, styled and furnished, we do ensure that each house has the basic cooking and dinning supplies with additional items available on request. Same as to beach toys, umbrellas and tennis racquets. So our guests can travel light and relax during your stay. Nice stay

Nice big houses with a great architecture. Below you have baths, showers and bedrooms and on 1st floor a very big room with a great kitchen, nice couches and so on. Only a few meters to the beach but for swimming it would be better to go/drive to the main beach, about 2km away, where you also can find a lifeguard.

Family holiday

What a wonderful place to enjoy a family holiday. The accommodation was spot on, lots of room for an adult family to spend some quality time together but not be under each others feet. The facilities included a pool, tennis court and bbq area. We played tennis every day, had a great family bbq by the pool. The location is great. Our unit was about 60 metres from the sand. No roads to cross. Brilliant.

Alright

Location was spot on. You can hear and see the sea / beach It’s an upside down property. Upstairs is the living/ dining/ kitchen. With a balcony to enjoy the views. This is a lovely place to hang out. Yet downstairs are the bedrooms and bathrooms with toilets. They need refurbishment. It was rainy when we came and it was so cold and damp in the bedrooms and bathrooms that you had to leave the AC on heating 24/7 the keep everything a bit warm. Would I come back? I would look for something in Noosa.

Travelling solo to The Retreat

April 2023 I stayed in a beach house only 3 mns to the beach. I could hear the waves crashing against the shore at night, that’s how close the cottage was. A 20 Minute beach walk takes you to Peregian Village where shops and cafes abound (Hand of Fatima wins for breakfast with a Turkish twist, heavenly!) then you walk back to recover! As a solo traveler without a car, I recommend that you carry a lightweight rucksack to buy provisions or takeaways for your meals back at the cottage. There is a fully equipped kitchen, and resting area on the top floor, and spotless rooms and bathrooms below. Having such an ample space all to myself was a luxury! It’s straightforward to get around from here with buses, Uber drivers (I got picked up by Teslas), or use the airport buses to get back home. It’s easier than you think! The Retreat also provides beach towels and umbrellas so you don’t have to take that with you. I highly recommend this location if you are looking for a peaceful oasis by the beach. Gorgeous place, pity about the couches

Our family has been staying at The Retreat since they were first built in the early nineties. They were built to reflect a traditional beach house experience which our family loves. Our latest stay was in February 2023 and we had a great time as always. The sound of the sea and the bird chorus in the mornings is beyond compare. Having read other reviews we can see it might not be what people are expecting but I can't think of any other accommodation that reflects the Queensland beach house experience. We stayed in House #7 which was generally furnished to a high standard with the exception of the two couches and chair which were showing their age and were not very comfortable as the cushions were old and flat and also were not very clean. I hope that Gavra will refer this matter to the landlord so they can upgrade. Our advice would be to check which house you are allocated when booking and ask for photos etc as, from experience, it does seem that the furnishings can be rather variable depending on individual landlords. In my opinion it would be better if the body corporate specified a standard for furnishings so that the holiday maker is not dependent on what the landlord thinks is ok. The other issue which may not be the responsibility of the resort is that the path through the sand dunes to the beach is very uneven with no handrails. In some places the steps have been washed away making it rather dangerous. I am not sure if these dunes are the responsibility of the local council. However there is another path which is much safer which exits directly onto the beach and includes a boardwalk through the bush surroundings.…

Hi jgO917UO, Thank you for taking the time to share your comments and more over your continuous support over the years. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful location, tug away at the last beach of Noosa region, a stroll away from the relax and friendly Peregian Beach Villahe, yet a quick 10 mins drive from Noosa Head. Our beach houses are individually owned and furnished, so you comments are duly passed onto the owners and House 7 should have a new couch soon, so thank you for taking the time to comment on that. The beach tracks are part of coucil's facilities, but we have share your concerns with them and hopefully some upgrades and maintanence will soon be in place.

Relaxing stay at The Retreat Beach Houses

We have recently returned to the UK after having a 3 night stay here during our travels, our only wish was that it had been longer! The 3 bedroom Beach house is quietly nestled behind the dunes of Peregian Beach with a short track walk through pretty bush to the sea. Our house was spacious and the ground floor bedrooms very comfortable, we loved the sounds of the rolling waves at night. Upstairs, is the bright and airy kitchen and living room, very tastefully decorated. The outdoor deck had great views where you could listen to the chatter of local wildlife. Gavra, the Manager was really approachable and so helpful on local knowledge. If you wanted to travel up to Noosa Head it was only a 15 Minute bus drive with the stops not too far from the property. Would definitely re visit if travelling to Australia again :)…

Excellent facilities and great location

Excellent and well maintained units in a prime location close to the beach. Large upper sitting room and kitchen very suitable for hosting dinner parties and get togethers of family members in adjacent units. Facilities in the units were modern and very easy to use.

Perfect Holiday Getaway

The perfect place to stay at the Sunny coast, directly on the beach with lovely airy, fully equipped cottages. Very comfortable and clean, and the pool is a winner if the surf is too rough. From the back verandah we had a view of the ocean over the beautiful native bushes and trees. Worth noting that the beds are comfy and the WiFi fast! We come back as often as we can.

Perfect beachfront retreat

We have been coming here for the past 16 years and it never disappoints. The beach houses are perfect with everything you need to live the beach life. Love that you are out of the bustle of PB & can walk along the beach to the village in 30-40 mins - great way to start the day. Gavra & John are very welcoming & went beyond what you would expect when an Uber failed to show & drove our friends to Tewantin harbour. You do not need anything more for a wonderful relaxing beachside retreat.
