We stayed here in March 2020 just as Covid-19 interrupted the trip. We quarantined on Peregian Beach for longer than planned - 10 days and therefore really put the Beachhouse to the test. I am delighted to say it more than stood the test of 24/7 occupation. The kitchen is well-equipped, the bedrooms and living rooms were comfortable and the wifi was fast and uninterrupted and we worked from the dining area for 5 days so we really put it to the ultimate and unexpected test.
We also tested the managers Nora and Dan who could not have done more for us, they popped to the shops to get us any food we needed and surprised us with a picnic one day which we could take to the beach for our 1 hour of exercise and social distancing. They were kind, friendly and great hosts.
There is so much more to explore in Noosa & Peregian and we of course missed out on a lot of that, we have no doubt we will return and we will only stay at The Retreat. We can recommend it wholeheartedly.

Thank you! It has been a time of shock and anxiety for everyone - we are so glad that you could stay here during this tough time and that we could support you through the self-isolation. The best news is that you remained well and are now safely home with family and pets. Take care. For locals and stranded visitors, we have adapted our procedures to include cleaning and sanitising in-line with Australia health directives, intensive support for guests in self-isolation, which includes regular digital communications to promote well-being, purchase and delivery of groceries and pickup of take-away meals and drinks, provision of puzzles.....other customised support to suit guests needs. All this and reduced extended stay rates now apply.

So stayed for two night with my daughter gorgeous welcome by Nora house was everything I hoped for and more beautifully clean tasteful decor heaps of typical supplies I think the coffee pods do Terri a oils and shampoo condition bath wash skin cream awesome. The only thing from me coining from the country was I wanted beach front views and a big bath. But the positive for this was I couldn’t of asked for a more private beach so quiet relaxed truly was amazing. The extras such as pool and ocean toys games and DVD was fantastic over all money well spent add a bbq to the balcony and totally 100% thankyou for a fantastic weekend

Thank you! It was wonderful to have you stay and relax with your family over the weekend. And great to hear you've had rain in your region! For future guests, please consider booking a premium view beach house if that is your preference (as they are positioned a little higher on the sand dune), although all the beach houses do have a small view of the ocean through the tree tops.

Our 3rd or 4th visit to Retreat Beach Houses and again, a perfect destination.
Dan and Nora and their small team are wonderful managers ensuring you want for nothing whilst maintaining the property in pristine condition.
Always available to answer questions, provide beach or pool gear for both kids and adults from their stocked shed, offering salt, pepper or oils or other grocery items left from previous guests for use, card games and jigsaws and dvds.
The pool area and tennis court and bbq facilities are always in fantastic condition.
We stayed in a different beach house this time which we loved.
The back of the houses have now had an area cleared after the bushfires of 2019 and now replaced with lovely new green grass and enhanced viewing of the sea.
These units are kept in excellent condition considering their age and are all different with furnishings provided by the individual owners.
Wonderful living area upstairs with amazing deck, 3 bedrooms downstairs with ensuite bathroom and seperate toilet and another bathroom including bath and shower and another deck.
Washing machine and dryer provided for use which is very handy for longer stays.
We extended by a few nights as we were having such a great relaxing break but even then, 2 weeks was not long enough.
The retreat is a short few minutes drive out of Perigean village which offers an excellent IGA, bottleshops, pub, cafes, restaurants and newsagents.
A 25 minute walk along the beach or down the esplanade will also get you there.
Perigean is only 10 minutes drive out of Noosa or less to Coolum Beach but here you feel miles away from everything.
Also close to eumundi markets, glass house mts and southern beach suburbs of Mooloolaba etc
If you want really nice accommodation only a few minutes walk to the beach(no crossing roads ) , managers who care and a very relaxed vibe, this is it.
If you want a resort with swim up pool bars, restaurants and piped music, this is not the place for you.
Thank you Dan and Nora once again for an awesome break.

Our group stayed at the Retreat Beach Houses for several nights recently and it was wonderful in every way. We were a group of 12 and took 2 x 3 brm adjoining houses. The 3 brm houses are wonderfully designed for families or groups with everything required and so so spacious for larger get togethers. While they are very private it is very easy to slip between the two houses for shared lunches and sundowners. The houses are furnished in a relaxed contemporary way, impeccibly clean and very 'beachy'. The gardens and location cannot be better with direct access to Perigian Beach via a small track and all that the Sunshine Coast offers at the doorstep! Members of our group want to return again next year!!! Thank you Nora and Dan for being so flexible and hospitable!

Delightful spot for a family get together!
Close to the beach with the house even more than we hoped for. Large, roomy, air conditioned, perfect large table for dining both inside and out, view of the ocean, heated lagoon style pool, tennis court and a shed full of beach toys and biggie boards to borrow....free of charge.
The very friendly manager even has free DVDs and kitchen supplies of Glad Wrap and tomato sauce if you forget yours!

We had a great stay at the Retreat Beach Houses. The two story house has a magnificent view on the ocean from the terrace attached to the living floor. The spacious layout of the living room is very nice and the kitchen has all you can need. The three bedrooms and two bathrooms downstairs are very modern. It is just a short walk to the beach and there is a very nice swiming pool and tennis court on the property. Also very nice is the little shed with toys to borrow for the kids to play with.

The Beach Cabins are marketed as 5 Star luxury houses, but the reality is the opposite. The cabins are two story with weird external stairs which are a safety hazard as they are poorly lit and slippery when it is raining.

We were disappointed that we didnt have a veiw of the beach as we were led to believe they all have a view. There are two balconies but they just look at the back of the house in front..

The furniture is dated and mismatched. The bedrooms are downstairs so you are constantly going up and down stairs not good if you have mobility limitations.

The pool is really awesome and suitable for all abilities and ages as there are no steps you can just walk in like a beach. It is heated and very clean. The towels were wor and had holes in them.

There is a wooden path leading down to the beach. The actual beach is very rough and we didnt see anyone swimming. If you want a safe beach you can drive 10 mins to Noosa Beach.

There is an IGA and pharmacy about 3km away but you probably couldnt walk there as its a busy road and no footpath.

The kitchen doesnt have an extraction fan so you have to keep windows open when cooking on the electric stovetop.

It was very cold and the heating in one of the bedrooms was broken the whole time, even though we reported it. Also the hot water stopped working on day two!! Luckily it was fixed but took a day and was an inconvenience for us.

The positives are that the cabin is very clean, spacious, lots of natural light and foliage. Has two bathrooms and extra toilet upstairs.

Overall we were disappointed in the cabins as we feel that they are marketed as luxurious, up market and beach front but what we discovered was they are just average and if we came up again we would choose differently.

Thanks PussyCat69 for taking the time to share a candid review of your recent stay. We believe your reservation came through 'Luxury Escape' a travel agent that markets travel deals and collaborated with us, we have worked closely on the copywriting with them and were surprised that you had a different impression than our actual location and house layouts, despite being depicted in many photos from the listing and our website. We are located at the North of Peregian Beach, with rich vegetation between the resort and the beach, some of our houses do not have direct views of the beach and the patrolled swimming area is 500 meters south from us, while shops and restaurant at Peregian Beach Village is 1.8 km south from us and can be accessed via a pedestrian walkway from the resort on David Low Way then left turn onto Peregian Esplanade. Our beach houses are individually owned and furnished over two levels, we are disappointed that you did not enjoy the styling of house 15 you were allocated to. Despite that is one of the very few beach houses that had a toilet on the upper floor and that there were washrooms on both floors in this house, we are sorry that the design of the stairs being semi-enclosed was an inconvenience. At the time of design, it was the architect's impression for our guests to be better immersed into nature, but we can certainly see how that is less easy to envision in winter and wet weather. With regards to one of the air conditioning units at the house that had broken down, we are sorry that we are unable to get an electrician onsite during the remaining 2 days of your stay across a weekend, although a portable heater was provided, it was obviously not a satisfying solution. We appreciate your acknowledgment of our pool, cleaning standards and layout of our beach houses and once again we thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us and other travelers on Tripadvisor. Warmest regards, Gavra & John

Family of four , we were so grateful to be upgraded to a larger house which was #16.
Beach house style apartment living with sea views but only from top kitchen /dining floor .
Generous in terms of washing powder , dishwash towels etc -
Heat pump was great being winter.
Very short walk from room #16 to the beach where we did 2 sunrise swims.
DOWNSIDE - We did find the fact that you had to use outside stairs to get to downstairs bedrooms & toilets not ideal however I imagine in summer this would not be an issue .
Good modern kitchen, bathrooms etc . Bit dated However #16 was just great.
Location ok , although you are a good 15/20 drive from Noosa.

Thanks Debbie for your kind words, it was such a pleasure having you and glad to see you all enjoying the surf and beaches in June and that the weather turned out beautifully for you! House 16 is our Premium View beach house, which we are so happy we could made that available for your visit across the Tasman Ocean, with its wonderful view off the balcony and great access to the beach. However, we are certainly aware that our semi enclosed stairs gets breezy especially at cooler nights, as our houses are individually owned, styled and fitted out, only a couple of them have bathrooms on the upper floors (these houses do not have any ocean views) which we allocate to guests on request/need basis. If you prefer one of them on your next visit, please let us know. Peregian beach is the southern most beach within Noosa Beaches/Noosa National Parklands, we are roughly 12 -15 mins drive to Noosa Junction, 17- 20 mins to Noosa Heads and Noosaville, just out of the hustle and bustle as well as nightmarish traffic during the holidays, but still easily accessible to all the surf spots, restaurants and shops. Peregian Beach Village located 1.8 km South of the Retreat is a convenient alternative with a number of great cafes and restaurants for lunch or dinner and a large IGA for grocery needs.

We stayed at The Retreat for a work event accommodating 16 people. Facilities were perfect and very clean, with a covid -safe checkin. The houses allowed everyone to have space and the early morning walks (150m to the beach) were a great way to start the day. Nora was incredible in supporting our team to organise all aspects of our stay from catering, to transport and always near by for any questions, nothing was too much trouble. Brilliant and would highly recommend for work or pleasure!

Our second visit to this property and we will be back in the future.

Great location, only a short sandy walk through the dunes to the beach. Then a pleasant 20 mins walk to the shops in Peregian.

The property is great for families with bedrooms downstairs and a large open plan living/dining/kitchen upstairs. Unlimited, free wi-fi was a bonus for the kids.

Good tennis court on site and lots to do in the area.

Hello, Thank you for the enquiry - best bet is to contact us with you dates so that we can see what is available and then do our best to find the right house for you. All the houses are structurally the same, just slightly different furnishings and fittings and view is dependent on the native vegetation surrounding us! (the travellers picture of the old green couch is no longer relevant, but not our photo, so we can't remove it - that house has been beautifully renovated both upstairs and downstairs). Hope that helps. Regards, Nora
