Me and my boyfriend booked 2 nights here while travelling along the Carretera Austral and wished we had booked for longer. The cabañas have a stunning view of the lake Lago General Carrera and the mountains. It´s peaceful, yet close enough to do daytrips to the marble caves, Cochrane, Chacabuco Valley, among others. The service was amazing. We arrived late...

The cabanas here are very very nice, and the view to the lake incredible! You really feel like living in the woods. The owner is very welcoming and the food is pretty good. All in all, one of the best experience I had in Chile!

This property is on the road from Chile Chico about 30K from the Carterra and therefore most visitors who make it to southern Patagonia will not find it. That is not a bad thing. It is owned by a couple who are enthusiastic about the area and the hospitality business, and the service is as good or better than anything...

Well equipped, elegant rooms (independent huts), but the best is outside your window. To wake up with a view of the lake and the San Valentino glacier is an affordable luxury at this place. Get here by car because the place is not close to Puerto Guadal: about 3 km.

This is an outstanding place to stay and set up at. The cabins are great, the hosts more then amazing, great dining, the scenery stunning and I love all the animals. We only stayed a couple nights, but more would of been nice, as there is a lot to see in this area. The Lake, the Ice Fields Rio Baker....

My stay was probably the nearest I’ll get to heaven. El Mirador looks west over Lake General Carrera towards Cerro Castillo. There are things to go and see around here – marble columns in the lake, an old mine, a waterfall nearby but highly unusually for me I decided to stay in and do “nothing” for the day. I spent...

We had booked 2 nights at El Mirador, and we regretted that we had not booked a few more! The hotel rooms are cabins set on a steep slope with lots of space between them and with stunning views over Lago General Carrera and the peaks of the Northern Ice Field. The cabins are spacious, decorated with taste and very...

I spent hours sitting on the porch looking at the amazingly blue Lago General Carrera and the backdrop of mountains with glaciers spilling out of hanging valleys. It was like looking at a view on another planet. Patagonia is phenomenal and this is a good base camp for exploring the long southern shore of the Lago and surrounding valleys and...
