The view from our cabin was stunning! Our cabin was on the shore of Lago Carrera with views of Monte San Valentine and the Silver Shield. The cabin was great, cozy with modern bathrooms. We had our own wood heater in the evening with wood provided. The hosts, Steven and Carolina, were great and told us about other places to...

Located just outside Puerto Guadal on the road to Chile Chico, El Mirador consists of a number of excellent modern, well outfitted cabins, with spacious bedrooms, very nice bathrooms and comfortable wicker furniture for inside or outside relaxation. Each cabin also has a wood burning fire place and a small kitchen with fridge, tea kettle and coffee/tea. All cabins have...

Simple but cosy cabins, all with a stunning view right on the shore of Lago Carrera and looking out on the snow-topped mountains behind it. It can be quite windy and the lake can sound like a sea! Stephan and his wife are lovely hosts, making their guests feel welcome, and providing excellent recommendations for excursions in the region. The...

Good place to be there for more than one day. Very quiet place and nice cabins with much privacy. They can arrange also a trip to the caves. Better than in puerto ....which is very touristic. Nice people, owners with personal care. Internet could be a little bit better. Warm water in cabin good be a little more warmer.

It is impossible to overrate this property: everything is excellent, the location, the views, the cabins, food. But the very best part is warm environment created by the owners. Wishing them best of luck maintaining this level of hospitality. We had a great time!

We loved this place. We arrived late after delays in our journey - a welcome drink, chat and a meal provided although it was long after the time for serving dinner. The cabins are well appointed, spacious and clean and have beautiful views of the lake and it possible to walk down to the shore to swim. In the cabin...

As far as we are concerned this is the best hotel in chile. On the way over we had a small car accident and they offered immediatedly to pick us up and helped us with the mechanic the days after. The cabanas are spacious and clean and offer a marvelous view at the lake and the mountains. The breakfast and...

Without a doubt, this was the most attractive hotel of our whole trip. The cabins all have superb views over the incredibly blue lago carrera. They are spacious and have a good finish. It's a heavenly spot. The owner Stefan is extremely friendly and helpful with everything you need to feel at home. The food in the restaurant is also...

We really enjoyed very much this totally quite place, the beautiful chalets with so much warmess, with a view on the lake, nicely furnished with it own chimney. But above all we really appreciated the welcome of the host totally dedicated to his guests and full of knowledge about the region. The dinner in the restaurant facing the lake with...

We are currently sitting on the terrace with a farewell cup of tea and a cake because we can't bear to leave. Surely nowhere else on the Carreterra Austral can be as good? Stefan and Carolina, the owners, make you feel as though you are staying with them as friends. They are always cheerful and helpful and it's not just...
