We went as big group of 12 friends and we all had an amazing time Rooms were fantastic, the beach was just lovely and the service was top notch. Would recommend to anyone for relaxing holiday... Definitely will visit again 🤩
The location in itself is amazing. On the beach it self. Mind you the beach here is just stunning. A little way from here is natural and safe rock pool. Rooms and common areas have been created spaciously and beautifully. The pool was divine. The best feaure however has to be service levels of the staff. They were very accomadating to all our requests. The food could have been a bit better. However, I would put that down to people in our group meddling with the food orders, so i wouldn't think too much of it :) Loved the experience here and definietly going back again.
Excellent stay again. Exceptionally considerate service and fantastic food. And still a very rare find, with a secluded "private" perfect beach straddled by a cliff/rock pool on one side. Super serene.
This three night stay was the highlight of a wonderful first visit to Sir Lanka. All our stays were at lovely small boutique hotels but this 6 room hotel (basically 2 large 3 bedroomed villas) was the stand out for several reasons. The location is special at the hidden eastern end of the long Mirissa beach and very quiet and private. Our first floor Nila Beach Balcony room was the only one with a balcony which overlooked the beach. The views were 'jaw droppingly' beautiful and the best we had ever experienced anywhere. The food was exceptional particularly our last nights 'set meal' of lemon grass consumee, red snapper with rice, salad & fried potatoes and chocolate & passion fruit (from the tree in the garden) mousse. To really appreciate how good this was I have to point out that the snapper was huge and to share. Furthermore it was landed at 4pm, collected at 5pm and on the table at 7.30. To taste it was akin to turbut and the cost of the meal for 2 SR6000 ie about £26!!. The hotel is not licenced but they have a fridge for guests drinks which can be purchased from a wine shop only 5/10 minutes walk away. All of these plusses would count for nought if the service was poor (a review last year was critical on this point) but the team headed by butler Athula and chef Krishanthe were excellent. Athula is new but his attentiveness and memory for wishes expressed were remarkable which reflects some of his background as a 'high end' personal butler. I highly recommend this very special place and staff and would only mention that the sea (like much around the island) has to be respected. If put off there is always the lovely warm pool to fall back on.…
Athula is a credit to the hotel. Nothing too much trouble, courteous, very good spoken English, explained all the foods. This is my favourite place on our tour and definitely the best and freshest food we had in Sri Lanka, fish only just caught within hours of serving. Fruit juices in the morning were amazing. Beach NOT suitable for small children due to shelving and waves but lovely pool to use instead. Turtles laid eggs at night in front of hotel. Hotel not licensed so take your own, fridge to keep it in along with glasses frozen for beer. Tea coffee available all times on request.
