Really it was a fantastic place to stay. Great location if you don’t want to go out for dinner, if you do you’d have to drive. The Bbq area and kitchenette in the cabins are really well equipped. The cabins are very comfortable and clean. The complimentary bottle of wine is a lovely gesture.
Our family booked 3 chalets for 3 & 4 nights. It was the second stay for nana & pop. First stay in 2016. So relaxing. Everything you need is provided. Modern, clean chalets. We bbq on our verandahs. Shared breakfast in the warmth of the sun on the lawn between the vines and our chalets. 5 minutes to Stanthorpe for dinners at brewery and pub. Complimentary wine tasting for guests. Highly recommend. Hopefully we’ll get back.
We (3 couples) took three cabins alongside each other and enjoyed a wonderful 3 nights amongst the vines - which is an awful lot of 3's! The facilities are excellent with all that you could need for short stay accommodation and, despite the restaurants of Stanthorpe being only a short drive away, we made great use of the bar-b-ques on each verandah. Our hosts were extremely helpful and friendly and the wine tasting experience was exceptional. There is so much to do in the Granite Belt and Ridgemill Estate is a wonderful place to do it from.
We had a lovely cottage, we our friends right next door... the log fire for the cooler weather was wonderful. The hosts Michelle and Martin had supplied the cottage with beautiful fresh bread (from a local bakery), eggs, cereal and other bits to make the stay very enjoyable. The Ridgemill Estate Wines very good!! and the wine tasting very fun with Max the cat! Close to Stanthorpe, in a relaxing rural setting was amazing for all of us. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and could not recommend a visit highly enough!
Loved our night (not long enough) at the vineyard cabins, so peaceful and pretty. Cabins are clean, cosy and very comfortable. We loved the complimentary bottle of wine and breakfast ( a lovely touch) Would definitely recommend staying here for at least 2 nights if you are visiting Stanthorpe area.
Great find. Accommodation in the vineyard grounds and suited for all travelers including families. Children can feed the goats and the bush land setting is great. Bonus of the cellar door being a few steps away! Staff were very friendly and ease of checking in.
Ridgemill Estate lies in a very quiet and convenient location about 10kms south of central Stanthorpe, and 30kms from the main trailhead of Girraween National Park. It is therefore well situated for every purpose. Its pricing places it only marginally above the highway motels but significantly below the "cottage" accommodation in the area, yet the facilities on offer, based on advertising photography and blurbs, indicate a luxury couples experience. My wife and I, travelling to Stanthorpe primarily for bushwalking and a winter experience, discovered that the advertising is completely accurate. The owner/hosts of Ridgemill Estate, Martin and Michelle, are welcoming, friendly and helpful from the moment you arrive. The chalets are modern, spotlessly clean, well-equipped, well-spaced and so comfortable. We were supposed to be out hiking and exploring, but couldn't wait to get back, light the fire and relax in our beautiful accommodation, or stroll around the spacious grounds, pat the cat, feed the goats, photograph the sunset over the vineyards or even wander over to the office/cellar door for a free wine tasting. Though we had already been provided with a free bottle of wine, chocolates and apples in our room, to accompany the included continental breakfast components that filled the fridge and bench space. We cannot fault our Ridgemill Estate experience. It was wonderful. It represented such excellent value for money, and an exceptional level of comfort that exceeded all expectations.…
Loved our stay here, it was recommended by a friend as we wanted to visit with our small dog. This place was perfect. The cabins overlooking the vineyards are excellent, very cosy, log fires, small kitchen etc. and having wine tasting close by was a bonus. Would definitely recommend it if visiting Stanthorpe.
Don't want to make this review too glowing and miss out on booking here again... Unfortunately for us, this was a quick stopover so didn't get to really appreciate what this gem had to offer. Very comfortable and welcoming. Will definitely return and be sure to do the wine tasting.
Wonderful two night stay , lovely staff . Wine tasting with Lee was entertaining great wine. Breakfast basket was enjoyable ,the room and bed was comfortable good size for a couple. Relaxing feeding the goats and walking the grounds .Unfortunately didn't use the fire box as it was unusual warm for May.Thanks again and will be returning.
