This is our third visit and it didn’t disappoint. Owners and staff are warm and friendly and always make us feel welcome. Friday night Soirée under the stars was a lovely way to start our weekend away. The extended wine tasting and discount on wine purchased is also a great perk.

For 5 years now I’ve been visiting Stanthorpe and after choosing to stay at Ridgemill Estate on my first trip it made me want to continue coming back to explore the region and stay on the vineyard. It’s located about 5 minutes drive from the centre of Stanthorpe which gives you peacefulness of being somewhere very secluded while still being so close to things. I’ve travelled there with my nephew, who had a blast and always asks to return, and with my partner for a getaway. It’s the perfect place to relax and unwind, sitting by the fireplace looking over the beautiful landscape and what makes it even more amazing is the clean and comfortable cabins, they special touches left for guests and the friendly staff who always greet you with a smile. There is nothing I don’t love about my trips to Ridgemill Estate and even though I just returned from my time there I can’t wait for my next trip.

From our first weekend escape many years ago to Ridgemill Estate’s ‘Cabins in the Vineyard’ through to our recent stay in September, we have been welcomed so warmly by the owners, winemaker and cellar door staff. The private cabins overlooking the vineyard, are always beautifully presented on arrival. A breakfast basket, coffee machine and pods, wine, chocolates and fruit are included. We enjoyed a wine tasting with Marissa as she worked the busy cellar door.
Relax on the deck with a glass of the excellent Ridgemill Estate wines, as you watch the beautiful sunsets across the vineyard and rolling hills beyond. The luxurious king bed and cosy fire await after a busy day visiting the region.
We always look forward to our ‘escape’ at Ridgemill Estate, and highly recommend staying there. Thanks Martin and Michelle for being wonderful hosts.

Ridgemill Cabins in the vineyard was absolutely delightful. We were greeted so warmly upon check-in by lovely Marissa. The fully-self contained cabin was perfectly presented, with beautiful linen, neat and spotlessly clean, and extra little touches that really took it to the next level of guest service. Chocolates and fresh apples, a complimentary bottle of Ridgemill Estate wine, and a breakfast pack including eggs, fresh bread, milk and condiments were waiting for us in our cabin. The logs were already outside ready for the fire, and the vineyards were waiting to be walked through. The free wine tasting of their locally grown reds and whites was appreciated, as was the 10% discount off purchases for guests. Ridgemill Estate hosts Martin and his family, have really excelled in providing a beautiful winery weekend experience. We will definitely be back. We loved it.

From the outside the accommodation doesn’t look much - but inside - VERY well appointed. It has a fireplace which we used each night as it was cold!
The accommodation is open plan with a small ‘lounge’ area with TV, behind which is a comfy King size bed. To one side is a compact kitchen & the other side a bathroom.
The rooms aren’t serviced daily, but that is fine with us. They also supply the breakfasts for your entire stay. From eggs, cereal, milk, apple juice, bottle of wine and a cheese platter. Very lovely.
The rooms are all slightly seperate from each other and have plenty of fire wood outside.
They also have a few villas that allow dogs. You can also take the dog into the wine tasting room.

We stayed 3 nights in the wine scape house, which was renovated, fresh and lovely. The kitchen was well equiped and log fire was fantastic! The supply of wood was endless and the reverse cycle air conditioning in the lounge was great on a cold night too.
One of the few places in the region with on vineyard accommodation of such a high standard.
Excellent breakfast hamper including tasty eggs, fruit, local apple juice, hot chocolate and condiments all provided. There was a coffee machine with lots of coffee pods as well as 3x coffee plungers.
Wines were high quality and beautiful. Very stylish & modern cellar door. It was very nice looking at family photos while wine tasting in the comfortable cellar door. We also had a private tour of behind the scenes by Pete, the wine maker.
We enjoyed goat feeding and the peace and quiet of the property.
Thank you for the complementary bottle of your beautiful sparking wine for my birthday!
Everyone was friendly and made us feel at home and comfortable.
The estate has a great location, not too far to drive to other wineries, brewery or Stanthorpe.
Great vineyard accommodation and great wines and we definitely recommend it

We had a 2 night stay in a cabin, upon arrival we found the fridge full of fresh eggs, a bottle of milk, butter and a selection of jams plus a lovely bottle of their rose, also a good selection of coffee pods and a loaf of locally baked whole meal bread that was so light.
The fireplace which we didn’t need was setup and read to light, it was all too easy.
We had a little hiccup with our shower but no problem just a quick solution by management, too easy.
Comfortable bed and very clean and well presented.
Yes we will definitely return
Top job guys, 10 out of 10 👍

Ridgemill Estate lies in a very quiet and convenient location about 10kms south of central Stanthorpe, and 30kms from the main trailhead of Girraween National Park. It is therefore well situated for every purpose. Its pricing places it only marginally above the highway motels but significantly below the "cottage" accommodation in the area, yet the facilities on offer, based on advertising photography and blurbs, indicate a luxury couples experience. My wife and I, travelling to Stanthorpe primarily for bushwalking and a winter experience, discovered that the advertising is completely accurate.
The owner/hosts of Ridgemill Estate, Martin and Michelle, are welcoming, friendly and helpful from the moment you arrive. The chalets are modern, spotlessly clean, well-equipped, well-spaced and so comfortable. We were supposed to be out hiking and exploring, but couldn't wait to get back, light the fire and relax in our beautiful accommodation, or stroll around the spacious grounds, pat the cat, feed the goats, photograph the sunset over the vineyards or even wander over to the office/cellar door for a free wine tasting. Though we had already been provided with a free bottle of wine, chocolates and apples in our room, to accompany the included continental breakfast components that filled the fridge and bench space.
We cannot fault our Ridgemill Estate experience. It was wonderful. It represented such excellent value for money, and an exceptional level of comfort that exceeded all expectations.

We had a 3 night "package" stay in August in the dog friendly cabin which was very enjoyable (and included a continental breakfasts pack). The cabin was well designed and comfortable although the wifi reception was not very good so you had to go up near reception to get a good wifi signal. The cheese platter and bottle of wine on arrival was very nice. We can recommend the "3 legged fox red wine" - excellent!
There are many dog friendly places in Stanthorpe so if you go to The Visitor Information centre they will give you lists of places to visit and eat. We prepared our own breakfast and dinners in the cabin. We had good lunches ( with the dog) at the Granite belt brewery , the Varias restaurant at the Qcwt college, and an all day breakfast at the Wallangara train station cafe (and interesting museum), all very nice.
We can give the Ridgemill Estate a good recomendation. Thankyou (woof, woof).

Comfortable and relaxing accommodation. Well located near Stanthorpe. Beautiful setting. Positioned for sun and privacy. Very cosy and comfortable bed, good shower. Enjoyed sitting on small deck watching the sunset with a glass of wine. Effective heating, either fire or air con. Great to have undercover carport. Staff all welcoming and friendly. Friendly vineyard pets.
Suggestions- Older cabins a bit in need of painting and refurb. Kitchen very small and utensils limited for cooking in. Concerned that people staying are responsible for washing kitchen/dining ware, rather than cleaning staff. Wasn't sure how sanitary they were, especially during covid. Would be good to have some body wash supplied, as well as 1 small soap.

Hi Debrah. Thanks for taking the time to write your review. I am so happy to hear that you enjoyed a comfortable stay and felt relaxed and welcomed by our staff. Thanks too for raising your concerns regarding the washing of kitchen/dining ware in the cabins. You are right in your concern as COVID has had a major effect on how we all go about our daily business. I am pleased to advise that our housekeeping team applies stringent hygiene practices to cleaning crockery and all areas of the cabins after guests depart to ensure the safety of our guests. Thank you also for the suggestion of body wash- we will certainly give this consideration. We hope to welcome you back for a relaxing holiday in the country soon.
