Detailed Reviews
We went to this place for dinner as we were staying in one of the cabins across the road. It's a great little pub with some locals holding up the bar. We were there the night prior to the Cut @ the Cape which is something you just have to see to believe. Drinks are fairly priced and ice is offered to keep your wine cold. The best thing about this place was the surprise Thai eatery in the dining room next door. The same menu is available in the pub as well, so that's where we chose to eat. We ordered a burger off the bar menu as well as crispy pork belly with chinese broccoli. There was no chinese broccoli to be seen (zucchini in it's place), but the meal itself was great. Serving sizes are not huge, but perfect for me and the burger was reportedly delicious. Staff are really friendly and make this place a great little pub indeed.

I was on a wandering drive around the Fleurieu Peninsula and decide to stop here for lunch. The usual pub menu - and then a whole Thai menu. I decided to try the Thai. It was quite simply one of the best Thais meals I have ever had. The Publican took great care to establish the level of spiciness I would like, and the balance of flavours in my Kapraow chicken was exquisite. Cannot recommend highly enough.

We were looking for a quick pub meal on our way past and ended up eating the best Thai meal ever. The flavours were fantastic and the service was good, we spent time talking with the host and his wife ( who is the chef) and they were very welcoming. But the food was really memorable.
The pub patrons were warm and friendly and it was a great experience.

Tok me ages to decide what I wanted - the menus was small and I was after something pretty light - so tried the Salt & Pepper Squid - it was better than any I had eaten in years.
>$5 for a can of soft drink hurt the pocket a bit.
Yum Yum YUM!!!

Had a beverage in the bar, service was great, barman was great, locals chatty!
Had a play on the pokies while our tea was being cooked. We chose the takeaway option as we were staying across the road.
The suprise was the Thai menu as well as a good old Aussie pub menu!
The snittys were awesome and hubby and the teenage kids couldn’t finish their meal.
The pad Thai and spring rolls and fried rice was to die for!!
Takeaway beer and wine also an option.
Would highly recommend!!

My husband and I recently had lunch here for a family birthday and found it a lovely place for a meal.
It's a typical country pub really, the decor being a bit tired, but the food was great. Everyone enjoyed their meals which were a good size.
It was great to not only have the usual pub selection of meals, but also a Thai menu which is quite extensive.
Would definitely go again!

inside and out its nothing special and a typical Aussie pub with friendly locals propping up the bar and a separate gaming room.
but the beer was a cold draft.
Food menu was available and included Thai food…they warn you its spicey and it certainly is. Shame as it spoils the meal and chicken was not the best cuts.
Burger was a big one and enough on its own without the boring chips.
Prices reasonable.
Friendly staff though and worth dropping in.

Rocked in on Monday for lunch. Not much else in area to eat at. Advised all fish sold out and only n Whiting and Hake left. Went to order Pizza but was told only on Saturday. Ordered Fish & Chips. Then saw specials board with Thai dishes on it. Order the entree of stuffed chicken wings. So good. Moist inside and crisp on the outside. Served with carrot and cucumber and light chilli sauce. SO GOOD. Served by the Thai cook. The fish and chips, two massive pieces of fish and the best chips, served with salad, lemon and Tartare. When you get there order the Thai dishes. Traditional flavours. SO GOOD!

This is a true Australian pub, but with a twist of Thai - the local chef did an amazing chicken green curry. I felt I had entered a country pub the people were authentic and friendly. There were friendly locals but also the crowd waiting for the ferry - overall if you can enjoy the charm of a country pub then you will love it.
