I loved Pandan Island Resort. Turtles right off the beach, great diving and snorkelling, beautiful sunsets and sunrises, awesome food, friendly staff and total peace and quiet. If you know what to expect you won't be disappointed. Their website has full details about their facilities, payment options, rooms etc. so people shouldn't complain when they don't do their research. I...

First of all what you need to know before going is than it s a private island own by the resort, so no choice on accommodation....you better book before to go,we tried to do it for their website but for some reason we couldn't t send an e mail, so when we arrived on the island we told the person...

Spent 3 nights at Pandan Island resort, Mindoro. I can't fault the team there: all those we met were helpful, competent and a pleasure to deal with - reception, admin, housekeeping and restaurant staff. The prices are rather high for the pretty basic facilities - no bedtime reading and of course no hot shower, but masses of stars and the...

We stayed in the family cottage with 7 people and enjoyed every moment of our 4 night stay. The rooms are basic but comfortable and run with solar power - well ventilated, mosquito net, tiny fan. The bathrooms have running brackish water and a big tub of fresh water for rinsing (which they have to ship over from the mainland!)...

Unfortunately we only got to stay 2 nights here, but we absolutely loved it. The island is a little paradise with excellent snorkelling, and the resort itself is everything you want: well hidden so as not to destroy the natural beauty of the island, clean, gorgeously built, really excellent food (dinner buffet wowed us). We stayed the first night in...

Had an overnight stay here coming off my friend's parents' wedding anniversary in Sablayan. We got a reservation on a short notice as we were supposed to go to Apo Reef but were not allowed yet due to the strong waves. At first sight the place seemed so serene and peaceful, quiet but alive at the same time. We were...

Thumbs Up! It was the best place for us to talk and have fun without the use of technology..We just enjoyed every part of the beach, our cottages, the view, and the food.. The food was really great... Fresh, delicious, and worth it.. We will surely be back here..

a 20-minute ride from Sablayan. Then there we are, in Pandan Grande Island. And there's only one resort which is this. Stayed here for just a night. As we checked in, the guy from the bar counter was very mean. He's hot headed, and does not know how to talk to us. The resort seems to be very old. They...

I will not go into details of the state of the resort since most of the reviews in tripadvisor are fairly accurate in describing the place which needs major renovations. Food was crap and the cook with mustache that I cannot remember the name thinks he is the best thing that ever happened to the world. Diving around pandan island...

Went here on the 25th of December during high season without a booking like the daring backpacker I am. By some magic chance there was accommodation available for me which I was very happy with. However it became double booked and I was offered to move in to the office. At first I thought that would be a bad thing,...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Pandan Island is a private island with a small resort on the West coast of Occidental Mindoro, Central Philippines.Since the island was 'discovered' and the resort established in 1986 by a French adventurer, this tropical island retreat has been voted time and again as one of the top resorts in the Philippines, not in terms of luxury (we do not have air-conditioned rooms, room service or cable television networks on the island) but for it's life close to nature and it's personalized atmosphere. Pandan Island is for people who like to spend time in tropical surroundings where you are woken up by the singing of colorful birds, where there is only a palm tree between you and the sea, where you still know your neighbors. All bungalows are built in native materials, like coconut lumber, bamboo, sawali, cogon grass to let them blend easily into their tropical surroundings. Care has been taken to provide a simple yet comfortable atmosphere with a maximum of privacy for all who need to get away from hectic life. Since all the electricity on the island is provide by a solar system our bungalows do not have air-con or fans.T he bungalows are built directly by the sea separated from the beach only by palm trees and / or bougainvillea bushes with the breeze from the sea providing for ventilation. Each house has its private gecko (lat. gecko gecko) that is believed to bring good luck to the house it inhabits.Besides spending your day in a hammock or exploring the few secluded beaches, we offer a wide range of activities to choose from. Scuba Diving in the coral gardens around Pandan or around the nearby Apo Reef is the most popular and exciting activity to engage in but we also offer you the possibility to explore the jungle rivers of nearby Mindoro by kayak or visit the small coastal town of Sablayan and meet its friendly inhabitants. However you choose to spend your vacation, our staff will do their utmost to make your stay on Pandan Island a relaxing or adventurous experience. ... more   less
