Great beach front. Paradise. Nice staff and owners. Friendly. Simple. Water is from the sea, but you may request for a tap water. They will lend a book to read. Delish food. Peacefu but the accomodation is very simple, no AC, no hot water, but price is affordable so dont expect so much. But everything else, just perfect. I will... More

Been here twice. Two things that keep me coming back - 1) great food - they always have great choices for their buffet dinner, you wouldn't regret having to pay for it by default, and 2) fantastic dive crew - dove with Kuya Rommel both times, and his cool demeanor always keep dives seamless and more enjoyable. He spots sharks... More

True enough, lots of pandan in the place. The sand is so white. The place is good for rests and nature tripping. You can eat, drink, sleep, play and volleyball and swim with the tortoise. You can find peace and serenity in the place. Good place for family and friends.

This is my 2nd time here. The water is amazingly clear. The beaches are white soft sand. The cottages are cozy. It is quite, peaceful, and relaxing. The food was delicious. But the main thing that made our stay enjoyable was the staff. Ms. Beth greeted us with a warm smile when we got off the boat. And Ms. Theresa... More

Hotel: Delux, standard and budget rooms available so it's your choice of comfort. I stayed in a Standard bungalow, it was clean and my requests were immediately sorted out e.g. previous occupants had broken the fan. The island is a marine reserve so if you choose this hotel you will have seawater showers and a bucket of fresh water to... More

For me this place had everything! Great beach, perfect water, rich in sealife (tutles inc), cold beer, good food, privacy and a fantastic sunset! The beach is equal to anywhere in more popular places like Siquijor or Siargao. Hopefully can get back one day for a longer stay. Only negative is that theres another white guy on the island (owner)... More

I stayed on Pandan Island Resort for 6 Nights, since I wanted to dive a lot. The resort is gorgeous, simple and very rustic. I like it that Way. Here the challenges started, since the staff couldn´t find ny booking. It succeeded eventually, and I West straight to the diveshop, since that was the reason I sent to Pandan. I... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Pandan Island is a private island with a small resort on the West coast of Occidental Mindoro, Central Philippines.Since the island was 'discovered' and the resort established in 1986 by a French adventurer, this tropical island retreat has been voted time and again as one of the top resorts in the Philippines, not in terms of luxury (we do not have air-conditioned rooms, room service or cable television networks on the island) but for it's life close to nature and it's personalized atmosphere. Pandan Island is for people who like to spend time in tropical surroundings where you are woken up by the singing of colorful birds, where there is only a palm tree between you and the sea, where you still know your neighbors. All bungalows are built in native materials, like coconut lumber, bamboo, sawali, cogon grass to let them blend easily into their tropical surroundings. Care has been taken to provide a simple yet comfortable atmosphere with a maximum of privacy for all who need to get away from hectic life. Since all the electricity on the island is provide by a solar system our bungalows do not have air-con or fans.T he bungalows are built directly by the sea separated from the beach only by palm trees and / or bougainvillea bushes with the breeze from the sea providing for ventilation. Each house has its private gecko (lat. gecko gecko) that is believed to bring good luck to the house it inhabits.Besides spending your day in a hammock or exploring the few secluded beaches, we offer a wide range of activities to choose from. Scuba Diving in the coral gardens around Pandan or around the nearby Apo Reef is the most popular and exciting activity to engage in but we also offer you the possibility to explore the jungle rivers of nearby Mindoro by kayak or visit the small coastal town of Sablayan and meet its friendly inhabitants. However you choose to spend your vacation, our staff will do their utmost to make your stay on Pandan Island a relaxing or adventurous experience. ... more   less
