The BIG4 Gold Coast Holiday Park & Motel is celebrated for its attentive and professional service, with guests appreciating the friendly support from staff. The site's amenities, including water parks and game rooms, are particularly lauded for their family-friendly appeal. Cleanliness is another strong point, with many visitors commending the pristine condition of rooms and facilities.
However, opinions on value are divided; some guests appreciate the competitive cafe prices and shuttle service, while others feel the costs do not align with room functionality. Additionally, discrepancies between online images and the actual rooms have been called out by some visitors.

Detailed Reviews
We stayed here again on a large rig site & really enjoyed the park. The camp kitchen & facilities are 1st class as always , the large rig site can become a big hole if there is any rain but not unbearable. The staff are a mix of the most helpful people on the planet to some that don’t want to help much at all, luckily most are very polite & helpful & only a few here & there aren’t.
They do seem to have some confusion in the office sometimes when booking or checking in. We were told a few times by different staff that we could check in early & to call ahead on the morning of arrival, which we did, & were told we could check in after 10:00 as they don’t like people checking in before 11:00, obviously to give the staff time to mow sites or clean en-suite etc. we’ve also had wrong email addresses allocated to sites for confirmation & wrong dates on different occasions . It’s always been fixed up prior to arrival. The park is always very well looked after & they have ample staff. It seems a bit silly not to check in anyone who can as early as possible to avoid having a heap of caravans waiting out the front.
It’s a shame the farm animals are gone now & the BMX track is now frisbee golf.
We will be back again though.

We really enjoyed our time at Big 4 Gold Coast
Ammenities are some of the best we’ve ever seen and despite being fully booked for the long weekend we never had to wait for a shower.
A huge thank you to Tyrone who was extremely helpful in resolving an issue we had, we are very grateful to him for his kindness.
It can be very hard to get a cabana or even a seat/table near the pool and slide areas. The resort does have a 1 hour unattended policy meaning you can not leave your cabana unattended or “saved” with towels for more than one hour or you will be vacated by staff. This is a great policy however this isn’t noted anywhere and when we enquired with staff about getting a Cabana only then we’re we told for this rule. We did watch this be enforced with a family at the pool who were abusing the privilege which is great to see it was enforced.
I do think there should be some more rules around when these can be saved and how long people should be allowed to have them.
We witnessed many people “saving spots” at 7am in the morning when the slides didn’t open until 9am and they kept these spots all day. With the limited amount of shade and space for such a large amount of visitors a booking/time limit system would be a great way to ensure fairness to all guests.
Regardless we can’t wait to come back again in a few months and again next year and enjoy another great time at this resort!

Thanks So much for your review Kylie, Tyrone is a rock star, and will be thrilled to see this review. Great feedback on the Cabanas & Seats, a universal problem we will strive to resolve. This was discussed in our school holiday wrap up, and signs and further training to instil these rules are in the making! Amazing feedback, cant wait to see you again. Cheers

Excellent service and provision for a person in a wheelchair. Add a lift for access to get in and out of the water area and you will have people with Disability coming back over and over again. The bathroom facility in the room was very well designed and to be given a king size bed and room for the carer is very much appreciated. Highly recommended

I went to the Big 4 waterpark with my friend to see my other friends that were staying there. The receptionist told us visitors weren’t allowed in the pool but let us buy an overnight pass for $20 a child which was pretty good pricing! Even though the water was cold, the water slides were great fun and it was good that they had littler slides for littler kids like my friend Lily who was 5 and didn’t like the big ones. I ordered chicken nuggets, chips and 2 waters for the family. The chicken nuggets and chips were delicious. We didn’t receive our water and when we told them, they gave us 4 for the inconvenience (2 for free) which is impeccable! Definitely recommend!! Definitely will come back!

+1
Overall, the value for money and location was why we chose to stay. We would stay again if we return to visit the theme parks.
We received a free upgrade, which was fantastic. We stayed in a 2 bedroom cabin. The air conditioning worked well, the layout was good, huge lounge for the whole family, good amenities.
The pool was of course very crowded but when the new water slide area is opened I’m sure that will help a lot.
Check-in took quite a long time, although I’m not sure why? I was served reasonably quickly however it seemed to take a long time for the staff to process the check-in via the computer.
The staff were all very friendly, one even came and pointed out some koalas for us.
The petting zoo was a nice surprise although not particularly exciting.
The games room disappoints as all the games are coin operated. Whilst I appreciate that’s probably necessary in order to pay for large electronic machines like that, I was expecting less technology and more free games.

Took the little 'handbrakes of fun' (8yo, 12yo, 16yo) on a quick trip away! Had the maddest time on the slides, jumping pillow and pool. A very family friendly park with heaps of extras at reasonable prices. A little peeved that our $50 deposit for Soccer Pool balls took a week to be returned. That's the cost of a carton of Blondies!!! The staff however, went above and beyond! Absolute bloody legends! The nightly security was awesome, cruisin around in a golf cart - no fishing tips though which was a bit disappointing :P The pedal karts were sick (the ones that worked were anyway). The doggo had a great time and everyone adhered to the dog on leash policy which was a nice change compared to other parks we've visited. The facilities are beautiful - great water pressure, clean and the aquariums throughout kept me busy while the old fella was busy with his 30 minute morning ritual (insert vomit emoji here). We loved spending the mornings spotting koalas and kangaroos. The bush camp/holiday park diversity was great and gave us the best of both worlds. We'd love to visit again!

From the moment we drove in to the moment we left we were treated with the best facilities and customer service that we have ever received in a caravan park. We were made to feel at home and there was always someone around to assist if needed. The coffee shop is fabulous. Great food and amazing presentation would rival any top restaurant. Thank you, we will definitely return.

We stayed here for 4 nights to visit our son. The park itself is very good it seems to be in two sections the new and older parts. The amenities are 5 star and the best I have seen in a caravan park, very clean, plenty of hot water and plenty of loos and shower alcoves that are Huge which is great for a big guy like me. We were in the newer part and the grounds and sites were beautiful complete with palms and tropical vegetation which we love. Pets are welcomed and there is a beaut doggy wash ( cold air dry though).
One the down side was the BS you have to go through to get ready to book in. We booked and paid for in total 5 days before arrival. We had to supply a pic of our dog and vax certificates, which some other places ask, that was OK,. You get this big speel about how easy check in is once you have supplied more info than my bank manager wanted, you will be met by one of our smiling staff etc etc etc taken to your sites and assisted to park, the thing is after supplied all the info the guy that checked us in did not ask for anything, ID etc. The sites were not too bad in size ours was a bit small and on a corner that saw more traffic than most cities. The amount of kids on electric scooters, bikes etc was overwhelming for myself being an old fart, I nearly got run over twice walking on the pathway/road, black bike, black clothed rider & no lights. The park point out there should be no bikes scooters etc after dark but like other rules they are not policed at all that we saw. You were only allowed 1 car per site, but there were 3 sites that we saw with two vehicles. The park is alongside the Pacific Highway so a very noisy park in my opinion.
We were inundated with very noisy young girls on the last night, they were every where. Don't even try to use the huge camp kitchen which got taken over by a large group on a couple of nights
OK to cap off, a very pretty park designed to make lots of money for the owners, very modern but noisy, would we stay there again, no. As I said way to many kids for my liking. Quite expensive to boot $68 per night for 2 up from there.

I am only sharing feedback as I would like to know these things myself before booking.
1) You share the pool and slides with day visitors, it is WELL overcrowded and the long line up for the slides (when they are open) leaves us frustrated, wondering why we paid to stay to use facilities we can barely get access to.
2) The cabin was overrun with ants.
3) The lights in the bunk bedroom would not work as it was filled with ants.
4) The fridge was leaking significantly.
5) The mattresses in the bunk beds were worn out, thin and uncomfortable.
These maintenance items have clearly been unattended to for a period of time hence leaving the review.
We found ourselves trying to work out how to spend the day away from the place rather than staying and enjoying what we paid for.
Positives:
1) The staff at the bistro were lovely.
2) The main bed was comfortable.
3) The grounds were lovely.
I despise leaving negative reviews but I also feel for families who save a fortune to stay here and don't get what they pay for.

Hello No plan with a van, Sorry to see your review and something we can 100% work on. We do not share our facilities with day visitors, unfortunately people have begun to take advantage by sneaking in guests and because of this weekend end we have bumped up or procedures and staff to stop this, I apologies you experienced this. We will 100% address all the issues you raised. Being sub-tropical with big lush gardens ants do cause a head ache! Not an excuse, we will do better to ensure this and other concerns are dealt with. Fridge out, mattresses changed! We strive for 100% satisfaction and more, and are happy to jump to it when we have not delivered this. I would love for you to email us directly and I can say hello in person. Thank you for your comments

This holiday park is in a prime location if you are spending some time at the theme parks. Just under 2kms down the road so we walked to and from Wet n Wild and Movieworld. The bus service is cheap, regular and prompt so made it very easy to catch a bus to and from SeaWorld also. There is a supermarket and other shops North and under 2kms to pick up some groceries or there are a great selection of takeaway options under 1km South of the park. The park facilities are ample and well kept. Nibbles Cafe serves delicious food and drinks if you want to put your feet up and relax by the pool or take it back to your accomodation. The staff are friendly and helpful. We stayed in a motel room which was serviced daily. We would definitely stay here again.

Hi,
please email stay@gcparkcom.au when your stay is approaching for an updated activity schedule.
The best place for fishing rods is the BCF store (5 minute drive away) or the local Kmart (also 5 mins drive).
The park will be at full capacity if youre planning a trip during school holidays, otherwise it will still be quite busy as the Qld sunshine brings lots of holiday makers.
Everything is free for guests including the waterpark. Bus stop is at the door and there are 2 strain stations (Helensvale & Coomera) within 10 minutes by bus. Gold coast is not super easy without a car because of its size. A bit of planning will go a long way in this regard.
Also I saw lots of Ubers come and go - not sure if that helps.
You can walk to movieworld and dream world in a pinch. We walked to dreamworld but after a big day there we were NOT walking back. Next day we ubered :)

Queensland, Australia36 contributions20 helpful votesWe are staying in the terrace cabins and didn’t realise it is connected to another cabin! Is there individual parking or are the car parks for this cabin side by side?
Individual parking , to get to your cabin is also a pain no one helps and the signage is useless . Sorry we were not impressed hopefully they have upped their game due to no business
Sand flies dont seem to be an issue, but insect repleant is advised wherver you travle in Australia.
With mozzies, it all depends on the time of year and weather recived. We have never had a guest comment or leave a review in regards to this, which points to the park being typical with what you wouldexpect on any australian location.
There are many different types of accomodation to suit a wade range of budgets.
Best to call up or look on the web site and see what is available.
