Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The owners of this place are very welcoming and caring persons. You will feel right at home as soon as you arrive there. This was the second time we have stayed here for 5 nights. Mark and his father have ensured that we had a fine time. Unfortunately, Lisa and the kids and the dog Archie were not there. Mark arranged a boat for us to go fishing on Lough Sheeling and drove for us to lead the way.

Room was lovely and clean. All modern facilities and the shower was brilliant. House owners brought us to nearby wedding venue and prepared a lovely breakfast for us the following morning. House was quiet in the morning and nothing was too much of a fuss for the owners. Great stay

What a lovely welcoming bed and breakfast. Just spent one night we were attending a wedding near by. Mark and Lisa were so friendly offering to pick us up from the wedding if we needed. The room was spotless and very comfortable. Really quiet even though they have small children there was not a sound which suited me as I am a light sleeper. Breakfast was great plenty of everything they made us feel like part of their family. Very reasonable priced if we are in the area again will definitely stay there. Thanks for doing a great job !!!!

Lovely room, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very tasty. Hosts were very nice, they even offered to drive us to and from the wedding we were attending at a nearby hotel. I would definitely recommend.

We stayed 3 nights in July in this B&B and in 1 Word: great. Nice House, clean and big rooms, beds and shower very good. And the owners of these B&B, Mark and Lisa, are very hospitable people. Lisa gave birth to their second child, 2 weeks before we arrived, but nothing was her too much. They did everything to make our stay great. Wonderful lough nearby, very good fishing and beautiful surroundings for hiking. If we are in that environment again we will certainly return here.

We decided to have a weekend break from Dublin for my 40 year old birthday. I've found this guest house online just the day before to travel. What a wonderful surprise! We couldn't be more lucky! Just about one hour drive from Dublin and ideally located beside Lough Sheelin. Restaurant and pubs are just 10 minutes drive. A pet farm ideal for children is just 25 minutes drive. Lovely beautiful house and big spotless room with en suite. Generous breakfast, full irish, jams and excellent coffee or tea. Mark and Lisa are wonderful host. They let you feel home and part pf the family. Our son Joshua had great time with their. We''ll definitely come back and we absolute recommend a stay. Alex&Faith

We stayed here for our fishing trip to Lough Sheelin. Mark and Lisa were excellent hosts and very welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are spacious, very clean with excellent showers and comfortable beds. Warm hearty generous breakfast, cereals, full Irish, toast, selection of jams with excellent tea or coffee. The location is great for fishing and exploring a beautiful part of Ireland. Not too far from Dublin by car, we would thoroughly recommend this guest house as a very comfortable base for a holiday in Ireland.
