We are from Ontario, Canada & loved the warm reception, tranquil setting & excellent food. This B & B was very clean & comfortable. After providing us with wine glasses, Catherine lit a peat fire in the fireplace and told us to have our drinks beside it if we wished. Very knowledgable about the surrounding area and sites also. We... More

We were in the Slieve Russell for a wedding last night and chose to stay in this lovely little B&B rather than paying big bucks for a hotel room. Kathryn was extremely welcoming and offered to drop us over to the hotel, 15mins away - a nice touch, going above and beyond the call of duty. Beds were comfy, rooms... More

Going to an evening do at the nearby Slieve Russell. Had a lovely warm welcome and had fresh coffee and biscuits/cake brought up to us in our room. They gave us a lift over to the hotel as they were going there anyway which was really kind. Our nights sleep was a good one. The bed was comfortable and the... More

Myself and my girlfriend arrived to this place for a local wedding wkend! After a heavy night of boozing i'm ashamed to say i went sleepwalking in the middle of the night (well i think i was looking for the toilet but it was dark and in an unknown house layout). I walked into a few rooms, where other guests... More

Catherine was very welcoming from the start of our arrival until we left 2 days later. The house is immaculate, as are the gardens surrounding. Whilst it maybe off the beaten track a small bit and a car would be handy for touring around if you base yourself there, its the ideal B&B to switch off and chill for your... More

We stayed here for one night as we were attending a wedding in the Slieve Russell. Catherine made us very welcome to her beautiful home and provided home made scones and tea before we departed for the hotel. The breakfast next morning was one of the best i have ever eaten, so tasty. The bedroom was spotless and the bed... More

I cannot recommend this guest house high enough, stayed for 2 nights whilst attending a wedding. Catherine was always helpful and supplied us with scones and tea as we arrived late, after struggling to get out of Dublin during Friday rush hour. The breakfasts are delicious with plenty of choice. A heartfelt thanks to Catherine for taxiing my wife and... More

Fist of all the place is like a postcard. The directions on the website are precise - which is so helpful in Ireland. Secondly the the owner, Catherine, is a lovely helpful lady. She has a lovely sitting room with information on the surrounding area. The breakfast was super and conversation was grand. It was our first night's stop and... More
