I arrived on my first trip to Costa Rica in San Jose. I asked for a pickup from the airport because I had no idea of the country or the roads. Villas del Rey is about an hour from the airport. Our host took me to pick up groceries on my way too which was very helpful but the cost...

My wife and another couple who are friends of ours wanted to spend 10 days in Costa Rica, so we found this place on VRBO and booked it. Many of the reviewers on VRBO told glowing stories about how the owner/manager had been extremely helpful. When we arrived, we found out that the owner/manager was in the US having a...

Very nice place to relax in this part of the country. Plenty of room in each villa and completely secluded from other villas in the complex of seven. A few fun restaurants to walk to and a quick drive to the beach and neighboring Jaco. Definitely will stay here again in the future.

The owners are amazing, giving very personal service. They are from the U.S. and Costa Rica, speak English and Spanish, and know the country well. They arranged trips for us, answered questions about the area, gave us a personal tour of the property, etc. The property, originally a mango grove, is vast and magical. It is full of fruit trees, tropical...

We recently returned from a vacation trip to Costa Rica. We'd heard so much about the popularity of that destination, we decided to see for ourselves. I was fortunate to hear of this resort from a friend who had recently been. My friends description didn't do it justice. The resort was even more beautiful than he'd said, with a lush green...
