Can you imagine a school camping trip, with fifteen children aged between 5 and 10, when one of the worst storms imaginable takes hold? Well that is what happened last week when we set up camp at Bridge House Campsite! However, we needn't have worried, as true to their word, our hosts Rosie and Phil, gave us a key so...

We stayed two nights in this lovely old house next to the River Thames. Our hosts were great, friendly and helpful and we felt immediately at home. The bed was very comfortable, clean soft bed linen and a nice bathroom. Breakfast was very generous, delicious and everything was good quality. Freshly ground coffee was a nice surprise. We loved it...

While walking the Thames path we stumbled upon this amazing place while in desperate need of tea and ice cream. We found both, along with a friendly welcome and if we'd had time, would have had more tea and cake too! Thank you for your welcoming smile.

Really welcoming site. We camped here for two nights and thought it was a bargain. On the Sunday we paid a tiny amount for freshly baked croissants for breakfast. Helped us forget the rain. Nice shower and toilet. Definitely recommend it here.

Stayed with a big group as part of a Windy 500 camping weekend. If you are looking for an ultra modern, all facilities, immaculate campsite, look elsewhere. This is basic camping at it's best. No electricity, a choice of compost toilets or ramshackle toilets. The noise of chicken and geese in the background. The location though is fantastic. A two...

Thank you for your generous review. We are rather slow on the uptake of the reviews system but are grateful for your comments. If our campsite is rustic then our computer skills must be rusty. thanks again.

I stayed at Philip and Rosemary Mader-Grayson's "Bridge House" Bed & Breakfast for a night whilst walking the 185 mile long "Thames Path". The day I arrived I had walked about twenty miles from Reading. I was exhausted and badly in need of rest and recuperation. I got it at "Bridge House". I had a lovely cosy first floor room...

A lovely warm welcome to a slightly shambolic, rambling old house., and lovely owners. We had a very comfortable stay, with a delicious breakfast. Perfectly situated for walking the Thames national trail. Would happily stay here again.

“Ideally located next to the River Thames, opposite Shillingford Bridge Hotel. We enjoyed the outside pool, overlooking the river.”
