Had a wonderful stay; not only is the setting beautiful, with views of palm trees, water, and neighboring islands from the pool and terrace - but the staff and owners are welcoming, warm, helpful and friendly. Everyone was fantastic, but Honey was especially attentive and...More

Beautiful and small, cosy hotel with personalized service. The place overlooks the bay with a small private beach. Great excursions where David (one of the owners) will guide you with explanations on the fauna encoutered. Highlight is the whaleshark tour (including two snorkling spots) where...More

Hi David and Delia, We're hoping you might be able to provide some answers to help me with planning, even after reading all the reviews and responses. Can I say you come across really well on here, perhaps the nicest resort owners in Leyte, so really hoping we will be able to organise a stay at Padre Burgos Castle Resort. Our questions are 1) How do we get to your resort? To give you an idea I'm flying in from Manila and will likely take a quick flight to Calbayog to meet up with friends in the north-west of Samar. This is my first time so would appreciate any help with nearest airports, bus routes etc 2) How can we explore the area once we are at the resort? I read there are boat trips to nearby islands which sound wonderful. Can we hire bikes and take other forms of transport? 3) Can you recommend what to do based on 2-3 day stay in the area? We're heading back north to Manila via road for the return leg so this will be as far south as we come, so it will be nice to relax but also we want to make the most of the cooler parts of the day. In fact from what i've heard the time to sleep is during the mid-morning and afternoon sun! Is that right in April-May? Thanks for your time, and we hope to see you very soon! P.s. we can't wait to try both sets of pillows to see what all the fuss is about hehe J & W
