Evening meal to celebrate my elderly parents 68th wedding anniversary. Very local to us and reports had been good. It had been a while since we had been. Lovely atmosphere, general chat and hubub of a country local with no background music. Warm friendly, wide choice from menu boards. We had mains and sweets. Excellent size portions, I was amazed my dad almost 90 got through his steak and ale pie which has lashings of meat and loads of excellent side vegetables. Really accessable for those who are not to sure on their feet.Friendly and attentive service. Excellent value.

We stayed here for 2 nights for a family wedding. The room was lovely, clean and had everything we needed and more. The two owners were extremely welcoming and accommodating. Organising a breakfast for us last minute and driving us to our car in the morning. The room is along side a charming pub with great food, there was a band playing on our first night which was excellent. We all had such a nice time, would definitely recommend!!

The rooms in the garden are clean, comfortable and very well equipped. The bedrooms and kitchen/living room area are well laid out and the spacious bathroom has a powerful shower and large bath. Situated in a beautiful garden leading to a river and a minutes walk to the lovely traditional pub. Friendly and relaxed hosts make you feel welcome and in every way this is a perfect place for a relaxed stay in the English countryside, with a real country pub. Highly recommended.
