Stay 2 nights at this hotel and found that it´s very popular to Koreans and Japanese, downstairs is WanHua train station, Long Shan temple MRT is just few blocks away so makes the location very convenience. Night markets and lots of local eateries nearby. swimming pool is closed due to winter season, gym room is quite small still can work out. Decent room size, comfy bed, good design of seperate toliet and bath/shower room, good water pressure, clean and tidy room with kettle, coffee, tea, free water bottles ,snacks and two cans of soft drinks each day. Breakfast buffet is huge but food quality is so so, i recommend not to take breakfast plan if you stay more than two nights, coz it´s almost the same everyday and it run out of food if you come down late. Cleaners are polite they greet us everytime we passed by. I`d love to come back if i visit Taipei next time.

We stayed here during the Chinese New year holiday. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. Situated right next to transportation and very close to the Longshan temple. We found location to be very easy to navigate to and from. Right next to a 7-eleven. We had a lovely view room on the 20th floor. There were two types of elevators, those going up to just the 20th floor and then another set that went higher. It seemed the people with higher level rooms did wait longer for the elevators. We never had trouble and still had a great view. The staff was what made this an excellent stay. King, the concierge went above and beyond what we have ever experienced in service from a hotel anywhere in the world. He helped us in ordering and getting our dinner, after finding out how long the delivery wait would be, he personally picked up our food and brought it to our room. We were amazed at his kindness, it made all the difference in our stay in Taipei.

This is a newer hotel built in the old Taipei neighborhoods. Located 2 blocks from Longshan Temple and the Huaxi night market. Train station is next door, right around the corner from the hotel entrance. The train station is only 1 stop from Taipei main station. 7-11 and Family Mart is only a block away. MRT station is right next door to Longshan temple.

I would rate this as a decent 3 1/2 to 4 star hotel. The buffet area is excellent with a decent range of dishes for breakfast.

The hotel room is nicely equipped with a refrigerator containing 2 cans of sodas. 2 bottled waters is also supplied and restocked daily.

There is an exercise room available.

Many foreigners (Japanese, Koreans, Americans) use this hotel as a home base for travel.

The main negative and the reason for my 3 1/2 - 4 star ranking is because the solo rooms are very small. Didn't help that some couples in my tour group were given the same room so it was very small and uncomfortable for the 2 of them. I expected better qualify of service from a 4 - 5 star hotel.

I had the pleasure of spending my New Year's in Caesar Metro Taipei and this was a great start to 2020! The view outside my room (27th floor) was breath-taking, especially at night with all the lights! The staff spoke excellent English and offered excellent customer service. The complimentary buffet breakfast was very yummy with a mix of Japanese, Chinese, and Western-style cuisine. Speaking about food, there are night markets within walking distance (definitely would recommend if you want to experience many new foods and local culture). Wanhua station is literally next door and the Temple station is only a couple minutes walk making transportation to other areas very convenient.

In terms of areas of improvement I would say, the fitness center was equipped with multiple treadmills, however, there were no weights or machines which I was kind of disappointed about. The only other feedback would be the inconvenience of the elevators. Coming from the fitness area/swimming pool on the 6th floor, I have to go down and switch elevators to get up to the 27th floor.

Overall though, amazing stay and I will be back in the future!

Stayed here for 4 nights. Was very impressed with the hotel at first. They provided bottle steriliser, baby cot and baby bath tub for my infant use.

The stay was quite good until the last day when I requested for a quick 30 minutes late check out because my infant poo-ed all over and we had to wash him up before checking out and head to the airport. Called few times to the reception but nobody picked up the phone. Had to head downstairs myself and found the staffs talking amongst themselves. No wonder nobody want to pick up the phone.

I explained the situation nicely to the staff at the counter and she was not helpful, told me not possible to extend even for 30 minutes, say will charge me half a day rate for it. She went to her manager, manager said no to me too until I gave up asking and walked away, manager called me back and say please try to vacate the room before 12.30pm.

Over the many years of travelling, this was the first time I got rejected for a late check out, and it's for a mere 30 minutes only. Disgusted by this action. I'm not asking for a 2 hours late check out, just 30 minutes to clean up my infant and they gave such response. Minus 2 star for the inflexibility of the staffs.

This hotel is clean and within easy access of the metro, but the outstanding thing for us was the huge buffet breakfast area. Must have seat over 100 and offers Asia as well as western food choices. Our only complaint was the coffee. The room, although not large, was very modern with a great bathroom including heated toilet seat.

Pros
1. Ideally located - one subway station to Ximending, two stations to Taipei Main Station, few stations away to 101, Xinyi etc.
There are 7-11, family mart, night market, ahmo bakery (my fav pineapple tart) within extremely short walking distance.
2. The hotel is new.
3. Staffs are professional and friendly.
4. Room is clean, not dated with sufficient amenities and TOTO washlet.
5. Very reasonably priced (I stayed at the lowest category). It’s suitable for who does not spend most of the time in the hotel. Ximending hotels even 4 star are more expensive than this which is only a station away.

Cons
1. Buffet breakfast is average despite the varieties. The food at the Bar is decent though.
2. Tiny bathtub.
3. The hotel is huge so the lift waiting time is long during peak period.
4. Certain furnitures are not well maintained. Some may find it unacceptable being a 5 star hotel.

I can’t comment on the gym and the swimming pool as I didn’t use them. Spent most of the time exploring Taipei.

Pretty good hotel. I do have the same complaint as others who have noted in the reviews that the check-in time is only at 3pm. This is because check-outs are at 12pm, which I do wish they would change to 10am, giving themselves more time for cleaning and preparing the rooms. The staff were kind enough to let us in just an hour earlier cause we had a 6 month old with us who was very very tired. Good hotel, clean and generally in a good location. We went to Jiufen and the bus was right outside the hotel. Very close to Longshan temple.

They use the space so efficiently that you don't find the room to be small in fact.

It was neat and concise. The breakfast sections were great! Worth every money to stay here. The location is also convenient towards the mrt and don't forget if its not summer, head to the da wei jiang mu ya hotpot @ginger female duck hotpot, opposite wan hua Station. Its pack with locals over the weekend but the food is great!

Rooms were a bit old and cramp. Our In room TV was broken entire stay (green and grey screen only). Toilet had a japanese bidet seat but was in a very tight space. Shower with Half a Tub (Good only for Kids). Bathroom area could use a curtain for privacy and blocking Lights to the bed area. Breakfast was not that good and repetitive, and a bit crowded.
Positives:
Nice Location near 2 Stations.
Had Ice Available on the 26th Floor
Had Water Filling Stations on every floor.
Had a nice Play area for kids on the 8th Floor
Happy Hour Drinks at the Bar on the 5th floor was very good value for money.
Lent Umbrellas when it rained.

Overall, despite the good location and good amenities the room itself was not as good.

Ximending night market is a bit further from Caesar Metro. There is however also a night market directly behind Wanhua station which is within walking distance. If you want to go with an elderly person towards Ximending night market it is also quite easy and not very expensive to take a taxi which are always available around Caesar Metro hotel.
