I think the Park City Hotel is one of the nicer hotel options within Hualien City itself, given the relative lack of other major hotel chains. The location is very central and rooms were comfortable and well-appointed. The staff were very helpful, and were able to let us check in a little early for my son’s nap and were able to provide us with an infant pack n play upon request. The breakfast buffet was good, although not amazing, as there were limited Western options for small children.
It was really nice to have a Kid’s Club in the hotel, although they could use more toys and balls for the ball pit. We liked that there was a parking lot behind the hotel because street parking was not easy to find.
There was a smallish earthquake one of the nights we were in Hualien, which was frightening, but the building was fine. It swayed a little bit but that was all.

Great location great workers clean and functioning. Enjoyed this stay. No issues when we were here. Parking was not an issue staff worked with us to accommodate thank you for that. Breakfast is good and plentiful. Clean laundry recommend here to stay very good

The room was amazing and the receptionist was very friendly. We had 2 handsome bellman assist our entire family with the luggage. They smile sweetly. The hotel has the facility of karaoke room but it was quite expensive 2 hours for 1500twd. The karaoke closes at 10:30pm. They have lounge as well for the guest to relax. The have the coffee machine and tea section for us to self-service. There is some magazine for the guest to read and some computer to use as well. The morning breakfast was at B1 underground. Their breakfast was good. A variety choice of Chinese and western. Their soft bun and unsalted butter was my favorite. the gym and the laundry was excellent. The design of the hotel was amazing as well. most important handsome guys when they smile really makes the guest happy. Sadly our trip only 1day but really appreciated when the guys smiles.

I can't recommend this hotel at all. The lobby looks quite nice, but the rooms are old and in urgent need of renovation. The carpet is totally worn, there is dirt in the corners and overall the rooms are quite dingy. The windows are small and you look into a shaft. Therefore the rooms are dark. The bathroom is’n good too. There is no 220 V device working, which was not a problem in other hotels in Taiwan. You can't use your own devices. And the water temperature change of hot and cold showers. Although a bedside light and a master switch are missed.

We recently stayed at the Park City Hotel in Hualien for 3 nights and loved it. Our room was clean, spacious, and nicely appointed. It is conveniently located near the Dongdamen Night Market, several excellent restaurants, and a small mall named Fe 21 which had an excellent grocery store located in the basement. The bathroom was supplied with luxurious Italian toiletries, and towards the back of the lobby there is a nice peaceful section where you can relax and drink some coffee or tea. The hotel is located 10 minutes from the train station and about 25 minutes from the airport. Between 9 am & 6 pm the hotel offers a free shuttle to both. We sent the hotel an email requesting an airport pickup the morning of our afternoon arrival and we were impressed that they promptly replied and arranged our pickup. Lastly, the entire staff working there were wonderful including Cherry who drove us from the airport and saw us off to the train station. This place has it all, a great price, beautiful rooms, convenient location, and a truly wonderful staff.

We stayed at this property during our 1-night stay at Hualien City. I chose it mostly because of the raving reviews on TripAdvisor, but I was deeply disappointed.
We booked a deluxe room with city view from hotels.com. When we got into the room, the first thing I noticed was there's no window. Upon checking with the front desk, they told me that there's indeed a window hidden behind the curtain, just that it's really small. I then realize the window is not only small (it measures about 30cm wide and 1.5m tall), it's literally 3 meters from the back of someone's department. Also, due to the lack of window, the room was really moldy.
I asked the front desk to switch room and mentioned that I did book a room with city view. I was shocked by their response: "We are not responsible for the room you get since you booked from hotels.com. You need to talk to them." The front desk also refused my request to speak with the manager.
Definitely avoid this hotel next time you are in Hualien.

Feels like being put away in a small closet and I'm not even 6 ft high. Beds were small, minimal amenities, 1 chair only, OK breakfast when we asked (and got) eggs, and it's close to the night market (if you like that) and there are some great restaurants around the corner (which Tripadvisor doesn't recognize yet). Cosy would be the word, and the staff is helpful and kind. Try to find the coast, it's really beautiful around here.

This hotel is located about 10 minutes drive from the main train station and about 1 km away from Dongmen Night Market, a tourist attraction.
The hotel receptionists were very helpful and helped us get taxis.
The breakfast spread at basement 1 restaurant is limited with mainly local food.
Free wifi is very stable and strong.
The room is very clean, spacious and quiet although the hotel is located at a traffic junction. The bed is huge and comfortable and provided me with a peaceful night sleep.
A plus point to note is that there is a self service Laundry Room with ironing board at the 5th floor which guest can use it for free.

The hotel is centrally located in the city area. There are 7-11 opposite the hotel. Is a walking distance to their famous night market. Must try the Jiang bread there. Is famous and need to queue. The hotel staffs service is good especially Thank You to Ms Amy. Without her help, we won’t be able to reach Taipei in our scheduled timing. She is nice and efficient. Thank You Amy. Stayed for two nights. The hotel is about 15min taxi ride from the train station, cost us about NT150. It is walking distance to Dongdemeng market and shops. We arrived early but we were not able to check-in. The lobby looks impressive and cozy. They provide coffee and magazines while waiting. Requests for high floor and extra pillows were met. Room is spacious with clean toilet but there's some sort of funny smell upon entering. This was quickly resolved after a call to the reception. The housekeeper came and sprayed the carpet with some spray. We were told it's normal and we noted they have the same smell at the café during breakfast. But do note that the shower area is actually standing in the bathtub. May be a concern for some as there's no support to step in/out. Also water tends to seep out during showers, creating little puddle. Breakfast variety was a mix of western n Asian. No egg station. Check-out was a breeze. Staff were helpful and informative. They speak good English.
