There are 5 of us in our family. We were able to stay in a 6-person room (1026) in Kangqiao this time. It was really worth the money!
The clean environment, friendly service staff, warm afternoon tea snacks, sumptuous breakfast, and surprising midnight snacks all added a lot of wonderful memories to our trip!
(My wife especially likes their dessert longan glutinous rice porridge😍)

A large hotel near Hualien Station. I booked a double room but they upgraded me to a spacious twin room. Although there was no security box, the room was comfortable and the bed was wide. There were plenty of amenities. There were 12 free laundry machines available 24 hours a day. There were many group guests on the day, so it was crowded at both dinner and breakfast times. It was not an atmosphere where you could relax and enjoy your meal. Next time I would like to stay in Hualien for a little longer.

This hotel is quite big and is definitely at a premium, BUT it had a ton of free stuff.
Self-service laundry, breakfast, supper, afternoon biscuits, bicycle rental, toiletries, 24hr self-serve coffee/tea/ice cream, daily room service, all these are FREEEEEEEEE. The room was clean, they even gave it to me early because it was available, with no reauest for additional charges or having me wait unnecessarily for 3hrs. I saw some complains about cigarettes from 4yrs ago but it was ok for me. I did smell some smoke smell possibly from cigarettes one night but thats about it. Personally, if they provided paid scooter rental and had a small gym, it would have been the best hotel for its price for me. Loved our stay here. Definitely recommended for your stay at hualien.

About 10, maximum 15 minutes to the night market. To Qixingtan Beach (did you mean that one?) would be a longer tour, shortest way maybe 45-60 minutes. I didn't try that one.
Sorry, I do not have the number on hand but great choice for a hotel in Hualien. Close to train station and eateries.
