We are conveniently located near the city center and the Far East Department Store, 10 minutes from the railroad station and 25 minutes from the airport, near public transportation, and with plenty of free parking spaces. It is only 5 minutes walk to the city's center and main shopping district, and near the entrance of Na-Bin Park; in addition, the starting point for city's bicycle route is right outside the hotel. From our hotel, it is very convenient for taking a leisure walk or bicycle ride to see the beautiful city of Hualien and its coastline.

Stayed in room 401. Nice and clean but a bit congested with 2 double beds and 2 small sofa seats. Breakfast is ok, provided and served in the room at selected times and must be pre-ordered the day before.

Hotel has 11 floors and lobby is clean and provided with seats for waiting. It is within walking distance to the beach (about 15 to 20 minutes) and the Rainbow night market (about 20 minutes). Do note that Nambin night market had been closed down and no longer exist.

Service is ok, nothing good or bad to talk about. For the price, it is value for money.

It's easier to take a taxi to the hotel from the train station or airport, there aren't many public buses around.

Location is great, hotel is near many great food areas. A leisurely 15-20 minute walk away from the main shopping area. Free wifi and breakfast was good too. Breakfast has to be ordered the day before, with specific timings e.g. 7.30am or 8am. They're served to your room very promptly. Portions are not huge but food is quite tasty.

The hotel counter staff are wonderful :) really helpful and friendly and professional. You can book a taxi tour at the hotel counter to Taroko Gorge - 2700 taiwan dollars for 8 hours per car. So it's best if you have 3 or 4 people. We also booked the East Rift Valley tour, 3500 for about 9 hours. Personalized and great service.

Room was clean, and spacious. Love the intricate decor of the lobby, but the rooms are more basic which is fine. Toilet has a bathtub too. Overall, we had a comfortable and pleasant stay. Highly recommended!

Stay here for 2 nights. The rooms were clean and spacious. Just take note when using the electric kettle, check if the bottom of the kettle is clean else request to change it. There is also a good massage center around the hotel corner, go there for a nice massage after a long tired day.

First impression of the staffs wasn't that good as upon entering the hotel i greet the receptionist but she just ignore me and continuous doing her own stuffs. The rest of the staffs here was still ok.

Also do take note that the hotel provide 1 time free transportation to and fro from the train station. Do request for it, I didn't know about this until I ask the receptionist.

We stayed in this hotel for two nights. Rooms are spacious and location is great as well, quite close to the night market (5 min taxi ride, 130 NTD)and city center. They lent us some bike for free, I recommend the bike trail to Qixintan (Chishing tarn).
However if you expect a new room, be careful. They have old and new room. We got an old one.
They picked us up from the train station ( they were late but it was nice to have someone pick you up).
The staff was nice and helpful.
It s nice affordable hotel for those with limited budget who are looking for a clean hotel.

What I like about CJ Hotel is its free bicycle rental (flashlight and lock included). Despite the convenient location of the hotel in the city center, you still need a bicycle to get around.

The newly relocated Rainbow Night Market is in the neighborhood. Nearby there are also famous sweets and snacks.

We (two adults) stayed a night at CJ Hotel. The staff was hospitable and helpful. Our needs and requests were satisfactorily met.

The room was comfortable enough. A bathtub was equipped. Free wireless Internet connection connection was available.

Breakfast is ordered when you check in to the hotel. It will be delivered to your room in the morning the next day.

On average, CJ Hotel is recommended for tourists with a limited budget who look for a clean and dependable hotel.

My wife and I arrived in Hualien on a bike tour around Taiwan. We were wet and cold and it was late. The CJ Hotel was unfortunately booked, as it was a busy holiday weekend. Not only did the extremely kind staff offer us hot tea, they immediately began calling around to other hotels (i.e. their competition) to find us a room for the night. Having done so, one of the staff members, a very gracious and kind gentleman named Daniel, then got the hotel shuttle van, loaded in our wet dirty bikes and drove us over to the other hotel. We have traveled extensively and stayed in many different hotels, fancy and budget, but this is the finest service we have ever received. After our evening at the other hotel, we stayed one night at the CJ and really enjoyed it. Very comfortable, clean and a nice espresso machine in the lobby!

We booked this hotel on phone from Taipei, providing our arrival time by train, and were met at the Hualien train station by a placard holding taxi on arrival (compliments of the hotel). That personal attention to details continued for the rest of our stay of three days. Because of the nature of the hotel (mid-range) the services are limited, but whatever service is provided, is done with care and in the friendliest manner. The hotel rooms are distributed between two buildings (across the street from each other) and we chose to stay in the more modern one (bigger rooms in the older section, however). We found the rooms clean with a large flat screen TV, comfortable beds with pristine white linen and the bathrooms sufficiently supplied. The breakfast is delivered to the rooms at pre-arranged times, chosen the previous evening from a pre-set breakfast menu (no restaurant in the premises). The pre-set menu changes daily. However, we found that they were willing to make modifications to reflect the wishes of the guest. One member of our group wanted just a selection of fruits for example, and they did that without any hesitation or discomfit to us. Free tea/coffee making facility is provided at the lobby and the rooms and free unlimited WiFi internet access was another big plus.

The hotel, styled more like a boutique hotel, is located within the city area of Hualien and is an easy walk from most eating and shopping venues, including the two night markets. There is a clinic and pharmacy diagonally across from the hotel. In addition, the hotel provides free bikes of good quality and a city map so getting around Hualien is not a concern at all. We wanted to rent a car and again the hotel staff helped us to organize that as English can be limiting when dealing directly with the rental companies (mostly located around the railway station), and the car (near new) was delivered to us at the hotel.

In summary, one could not ask more from a mid-range hotel and the best aspect of our stay was the most friendly and accommodating staff. Our stay at C’est Juene certainly added to our positive view of Hualien and the surrounds (Taroko Gorge, hot springs, etc.), and we would like to compliment the staff via this forum for their professionalism and courtesy.

I saw a lot of people saying that the hotel has great location. Well, I would say that it's a bit out of town. Of course, if one is willing to walk, it's walkable to downtown area, but a cab would be a better choice either to the eating area, or the Ziqiang night market. Overall it doesn't seem to be a new hotel but everything is ok. Personally I like the breakfast delivery as it looks as if it's a 5 star hotel service delivery. Breakfast are all good.

We chose CJ hotel to stay in Hualien , Taiwan based on other peoples' review. That was a good decision and no regrets. The hotel staff were very friendly and courteous right from the start till we checked out of the hotel . The staff were also very friendly and knowledgeable . We asked them how to move around the area, where are the good food places and even the approximate taxi fares. The room we got looks very new even though the hotel had been around for a long time. They have free coffee and cookies in the hotel lounge -- that makes one feel very welcome on arrival !
