We love the retro decor the moment we stepped into this lovely B&B. It's one of the few B&B that comes with a lift.

Our room was large, spacious and most tastefully decorated. We had 2 king size bed suitable for our family of four.

It's a room with the sea view and a small balcony where we can sit and listen to the therapeutic sound of ocean waves.

Breakfast was delicious and generous. It was served in the room. It was a different breakfast for both mornings.

Location is also ideal. A 10 minutes walk to the night market .

The host were friendly and most hospitable.

Highly recommended!

We stayed here for three nights while exploring the nearby national parks. It's located near to the night market and about a 20-30 minute walk from the train station (take a taxi, it's far and hot!). We had a ground floor room with a view over the sea and it was lovely. They brought us breakfast every morning, which was good and the entire place was decorated in a really fun way. The bathroom was good, and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were very helpful and friendly. They arranged taxis for us each day and made several recommendations for places to eat. Overall, it's a lovely hotel and we would definitely stay here again.

We really liked this small bed and breakfast. The staff/owners were so kind and hospitable!!! A highlight for us were the free bikes to ride around town and the ocean - we enjoyed that change of pace and different vantage point.
They arranged for a driver (Hong) for our day in Taroko National Park and Hong was superb - we would hire him again and recommend him to anyone visiting the area and looking for a guide/driver.
Breakfast consisted of fruit and a nice egg/bacon/salad sandwich.

Rooftop room provides fabulous sea view - MUST TRY! Spacious room with elegant wooden furniture. Clean, tidy and good service. They also provided free sandwiches and ice tea every morning. We experienced Hualien 7.2 Mag earthquake on Apr 3, 2024. Thanks God we were safe as well as Slow Living B&B. We will definitely come back next time.

They serve the most delicious and healthy homemade breakfast! All of us looked forward to wake up each morning to have breakfast with the spectacular view of the Pacific ocean!

The two hosts, Ken and Aaron, were amazingly friendly and helpful. They were attentive and always ready to assist us throughout our stay, such as preparing the bicycles for us to cycle and getting taxi for us when we wanted to explore the town armed with a map that they had marked out the point of interests for us.

The room not only has an awesome view, but it was also comfortable and cozy for out family of four. We totally made ourselves at home! The kids slept through the nights and woke up energetic. It was such a memorable stay for all of us!

This is my 2nd time back to 花莲 。I have met 阿鸿 4-5 years ago when I first visit 花莲 and he is then our guide. I am lucky that this 2nd trip we manage to book 3 rooms with him at 慢点。Excellent B&B with great decoration which is classy and trendy and still provide the homely feel. 很有家的feel. Just like the name,慢点,you will be able to relax and chill and go slow....放慢城市冲忙的脚步。。放慢点,享受生活。 👍 All rooms have their unique designs and surprises 😀. You will get to enjoy nice sea view from some of the rooms. 阿鸿is so thoughtful to also install a lift which is so considerate for elderly and kids. 阿鸿has also helped to arrange day trip which is a totally different experience that leave great memories. Another bonus is the night market is just within walking distance. We are already planning our next trip back to 花莲 and definitely will stay in 慢点 again for sure. Till we meet again! 😊

For our recent trip to Taiwan, we did a self drive from east to west, starting and ending in Taipei. Slow Living Hualien was our second hotel for this trip. It didn't disappoint. We had a tough drive from Taipei because it was raining heavily, the host Ah Hong messaged to check on us, making sure that we didn't lose our way and they could help if necessary. It was really nice of him. We occupied both rooms on the second floor. There is an elevator in the hotel so it's really convenient for those with heavy luggage.

The rooms are spacious, clean and super comfortable. It was also well equipped with all the necessary amenities. The best part is waking up to the sound of the Pacific Ocean and wonderful smell of breakfast cooking. Breakfast was simple yet so delicious.

The hotel is very near to the night market where you can get yummy local food and snacks.

The staff is very attentive, polite and hospitable. We can't thank them enough for making us feel at home for the 2 nights we stayed there.

This is our first visit to Hualien, slow living is highly recommended with friendly customer service by its owner. The room is clean and toilet is classically decorates, sea facing that you can enjoy sunrise. Breakfast is served to each room every morning. Our friendly owner, Aaron, thoughtful show us fireworks display on final night, the kids were overjoyed. Before we left the place, he even got us the local deserts to eat on our journey. I would highly recommend slow living.

My wife and I have just left Hualien after a 2 night stay at Slow Living, and we are already missing the beautiful room and Aaron's warm hospitality and great service.

Aaron personally picked us up and dropped us off from the Hualien train station at the start and end of our stay, and we immediately felt at ease speaking to him. You can just sense his genuine warmth and interest in you and your holiday.

The minsu itself is located minutes walk away from Dongdamen Night Market, and Ken (who works with Aaron) shared all the great eats in Hualien while settling is in. Our room was spacious, tastefully decorated and had full length windows overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Only unfortunate cloudy weather preventing us from watching the sunrise from our bed.

Breakfast is typically served to you after 8:30am every morning in the room and really yummy (see picture!). As we were going on the Zhuilu Old Trail hike on our second day at 8am, Aaron and Ken went the extra mile and arranged for us to have our breakfast to-go. We certainly weren't expecting a full breakfast of a toasted bacon sandwich, banana and even a hot tea!

Thanks for a great stay Aaron and we're already looking forward to coming back!
