3.5 stars rating. We had 2 stays and the first room was much better in terms of layout and felt less cramped and dated. The location is very convenient; not far from Taipei Main Station and Q Square Mall (as a good landmark) is just a right turn at the end of the street. Shower pressure was great and amenities were good (in shower shampoo and body wash, toothbrush/toothpaste, hairdryer, tissues). Toilet paper has to go into a basket, which is the case in all the Taiwanese hotels we stayed at. Has air conditioning. The bathroom has no lock; the privacy glass has a clear strip at the top and bottom, which is OK, but not ideal. I noticed in the second room that there was an "all in one" wall adapter, which is convenient for travellers.

Location of Puri hotel is great as it is very near to Taipei underground mall , MTR, TSR & train to Taoyuan Airport at exit Y13. This entramce will bring u straight to the Y zone where u can shop for animae, toys, games cards, clothings etc.

There are many local eateries around the hotel & it is about 10 mins walk to Ningxia night market.

There are many local shops & souvenir shops around the hotel to explore.

We booked a 3 bedder room with no window. It felt like a prison.

Walls are thin & we often hear noises from neighbours or people dragging lugguages.

No breakfast as there is no canteen.

Cleanliness is so so only.

Service is ok.

Price is reasonable.

Bathroon door has no ledge. No hooks in bathroom to hang yr clothes. This is a minus for ladies

In conclusion, it is only good for its location. Just for sleeping Nothing else to shout about.

I had a 1 night stay at Hotel Puri Taipei station branch.
It is walking distance from the main station.
Overall, the hotel was OK. The bed was comfortable and there was a TV with many options.
The bathroom was fine. The bathroom sink was in the main living room rather than inside the bathroom which felt a little strange.
One downside was the room didn't have good sound proofing, I could hear some of the other guests down the hall. I needed to put in earplugs to stop hearing the noise.
Overall it is an average hotel and alright for a 1 night stay if you have a late arriving flight and plan o traveling outside of Taipei the following day.
3 stars.

The hotel has 1 of the best location, just few minutes walk away from Taipei Main Station. Hotel is located on the 3rd floor of an old building so no windows in the rooms. Carpet is pretty old and dirty. Toilet configuration also pretty weird as the towel holder was just right above the toilet bowl. But the staff were friendly and will greet you everytime they see you. We could leave our luggage with them as we ventured to some other states and came back. No breakfast provided but was easy as there were some noodle shop just right downstairs. Q Square Mall is also minutes away.

Completely rebuilt/remodeled. Very attentive staff all with excellent English. Although rooms are not large (essentially have a queen size bed plus a meter or so on the sides and a desk at the base), they are spotlessly clean and elegant with bright, modern décor. Very close to Taipie Main Station although finding your way out of the station and to the hotel is a challenge. The following tips may help: Shimin Blvd (on Google maps), Civic Blvd, Zhengzhou RD and Taipie City Mall are all the same! (The mall is an underground shopping street under Civic Blvd.) Stay underground (you will actually descend a level from the station) and follow signs to the mall. Go up at exit Y13 (which has an escalator if you have luggage). You are at the end of Taiyuan Rd (slightly behind you as you exit). Walk north one block to Huayin St, turn right, and the hotel is the second building on your right, just past a little alley.

3 of us stayed at this hotel for 6 nights from 19th Dec. Few days before departure, the reception emailed to confirm time of checking in. Our room comes with 1 queen and 1 single bed. Have air conditioning and strong WiFi inside room too. Slightly small with 1 small closet, flat TV, in-room safe and mini fridge. Have electric kettle, coffee and Chinese tea sachets. Bed firm and comfortable with a pillow each for guest, no extra nor choice. Room and bathroom clean. Windowless. Have tubs of shower cream and shampoo gel. Also provided with toothbrush/toothpaste, comb, shaver and shower cap. No bidet. As a norm in most places in Taiwan, toilet paper MUST NOT go into toilet bowl but into bin provided. Only 1 keycard provided for access of room and activation of power supply.

This hotel is situated on the 3rd level of a building. Level 4 is Star Hotel. Both accessible by 2 lifts from common entrance. Hence lift door opens to the lobby. Other then the reception, there is a computer, coffee making machine, sachets of Chinese tea, packets of biscuits and pop corns for guests FOC. Every morning I made a big mug of coffee using the room mug and consumed it with packets of biscuit in the comfort of my room. Both pop corns and biscuits are tasty. There is a washing machine and dryer at NTD80 for each use from 9.30am till 9pm, situated next to the lobby. Receptionists are very helpful like most Taiwanese and able to speak English. Can always ask them for direction. They will search in the net if they don't know. They can assist in arranging taxi. This hotel also provide free luggage deposit at the lobby for checkout guests up to 7 days. We left ours there for our 2 nights trip to Sun Moon Lake. Collected them on our way back and with the help of receptionist, got a taxi to a different hotel nearby for our last night in Taipei.

The surrounding area has lots of small food outlets and 7 Elevens. Same row of the hotel is a popular shop selling "pepper biscuit" ( in Mandarin), a pastry/biscuit filled with chunky pork and vegetables. Delicious and not to be missed. Also at one end of the street, there is a small lane where local buys fresh vegetables and fruits in the mornings such as apples, oranges, bananas, guavas, persimmons. There is also another similar narrow street with slightly larger market at the other end after the 7 Eleven, with more stalls. Fingxia night market is about 10 mins walk away. Q Square/Taipei Bus Station, about 3 mins away and Taipei Main Station (MRT) 5-10 mins walk. Depending on which side you walk, you can use exit Y7 or exit Y13 to access Taipei Main Station via underground walkway. Plenty of shopping malls at the underground walkway, Y, Z, M and K. Lots of foods and goods. Plenty of cheap, good quality and comfortable made-in-Taiwan ladies' shoes, including anti skid loafers and high heels. Heaven for ladies! And gentle to partner's wallet.

Room was small. Ard 10-15mins walk to TMS. Under the same building as Star Hostel @ level 3. Snack area with free hot drinks, popcorns & biscuits. Microwave & oven toaster too. But i would not choose to stay again as its only nice from the outside but dirty from the inside. Firstly , we were assigned to a room with pungent smell! Even the staffs knew & smelled it! Requested to change another room 508, little bigger in size but the bathroom was VERY dirty with moulds everywhere on the tiles, knots & bathtubs. They really need a serious thorough cleaning as i tried rinsing the tub over & over again yet i still see moulds & "black stuffs" coming out from the tub holes & knot of the shower head, some from the sides of the tub. Very yacky! Didnt really use the toilet as im very particular abt the cleanliness especially the toilet! Secondly , bedsheet with stains. Kinda like blood stains. Thirdly , floor is carpetted. Overall, dissappointed with the cleanliness dispite reading many gd reviews from others.

Had a wonderful stay at Hotel Puri Taipei Main Station!
1) Convenient - about 10mins walk to MRT station. It is along the mrt lines to the places I wantes to go to. Lots of food around the hotel! Try the Japanese food opp Q Square!
2) Helpful staff - We needed to go out while our clothes were in the dryer and asked the staff to help us take the clothes out when they are ready. They not only took the clothes out but also folded them!! Thumbs up for helpfulness! My mum bought some glass bottled stuffs and needed to wrap them and the staff provided tape to seal them safely. Digital weighing scale also available for use to check if your luggage is overweight.
3) Water pressure - Super good water pressure for showering! This is something that I need from my hotel room.
4) Cleanliness - Good housekeeping!
5) Free snacks and coffee available. My kids love the popcorn and biscuits near the reception. Water dispenser makes it easy for us (don't need to boil water or buy mineral water).

Note: Room is small with some rooms with no windows (but I like the room with no window as the sun is up by 5am!!)

Overall a pleasant and value for money stay!
